Plini - Sunhead (Audio) 

Being a rhythm nerd, this song excites me so much! I finally figured it out. Most of the track is in 29/16, divided into 7/8 and 15/16. However at 1:56 there is a combination of 29/16 and 31/16, divided into 7/8+15/16 and 7/8+17/16 respectively. What really blew my mind is both the intro and the outro, and some parts in between where the 29/16 is divided into four; 7/16, 7/16, 8/16 and 7/16! For example from 4:37 onward. At first this sounded like a faster irregular 4/4, with the melody staying exactly the same, which really messed my brain up! Extremely cool track!

Tim Miller's solo at 2:26 is amazing, how has such an amazing guitarist managed to avoid my radar for so long? Really good stuff.

Man. I love that you slowly change your style and add in new concepts without compromising your original sound. The jazz shit goes deep into my stomach and I feel is on the verge of causing spontaneous combustion.

The problem with this is I only get one like to give.... I think one of the coolest things in life is occasionally, in every endeavor, you get a front row seat to someone’s evolutionary process. You get to experience the journey with them, and for better or worse you’ll always associate those moments to times in your own life. I am so stoked to be witnessing/ enjoying/ partaking in Plini’s evolutionary process... Killer music. Feeling epic...

I feel like Plini is only one in the genre who is consantly evolving, and always doing something a bit different. Great work on this EP, and thank you for the music!
