The best video about visiting Plitvice. Thanks for all the information. The cave is closed right now but we visited the rest of the park and it's incredible/gorgeus
What a magical place to visit . The colour of the water and the scenery was absolutely amazing ! Thanks for sharing , a fabulous vlog as always .:0) xx
There is a word in the English language made for places like this and that is “Wow” it looks amazing. I would even prefer this place to riding on a Steam train. Also for you guys to say that there’s enough walking there for 2 days mean that it must be the size of a small continent 😂 absolutely loved this one 😍
Yes it definitely had the wow factor😀 Just imagine... if they had a steam train to take you around it! 🚂 it would be heaven for you! Glad you enjoyed it, we loved it there😍 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Thanks, its good to hear you think we did it justice, we tried hard to get this one right 😀 Yes this one is a must for anyone visiting Croatia 👍 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
We are from New Zealand which is a very beautiful country itself. But we visited Plitvice in 2019 and it is just stunning, it is really hard to do it justice with photos or videos it is a must visit. Also that was not busy at all when we were there you had to queue for up to 45 minutes for the boats. Great vlog keep up the good work.
Thanks Brett, what a great place you live. We can't image how great it would be to have New Zealand as home. We are planning a visit starting January 2024 and just deciding how long we need to do it justice, maybe 6-8 weeks😀 We were at Plitvice in September and it was busy but by luck more than anything else we were on the boats early morning and late afternoon, during the peak we were in the more remote areas. Cheers...Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures Hi I would say at least eight weeks. I assume you would be renting a camper van and if you do my wife who has worked in travel all of her working life said you will need to book one a year ahead. She also recommends coming out of peak time maybe March/April as most Kiwis will be back at work by then and the weather is more settled at that time usually.
What a great immersive experience, superbly presented. We did a running series around Croatia on our treadmill using the IFIT app about 18 months ago and have it in our bucket list. The lakes were crazy busy on on instructor led series but still beautiful. We were still living in Oz at the time but now we’re back in the UK it’s within easier access. Thanks for bringing it back into our focus. ❤👏
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it😀 The crowds were still there we we visited in September but we arrived early (8am) and went to the remote parts during the peak 11am - 3pm Cheers 😊 Andy&Michelle
What a beautiful place! I’d seen pictures of the lakes with the little wooden pathways a long time ago and would love to go there one day. Will try to remember all your tips for when we do. Nice that there is so much to explore and it seemed to be open really early so you could make a full day of it - those drinks were very well deserved at the end!
We'd seen the lakes many times on the internet so it was really good to go and see it for real, getting there early is was definitely a good move. It was a really pleasurable day hiking around 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
This is top of our list to visit, and you have to do the longest route to see as much as you can whilst your there 👍 Such an amazing place and you captured it spectacularly 😍 That beer was well deserved after that walk. Did I miss you comment on if there is an opening and closing time? Just wondered how early you can get in? Magical video 👍😍 Cassie and Derren x
This was the top of our list for Croatia😀 it was so good we did the longest route and anything else we could find😀 Times change through the seasons but when we were there in September we booked the 8:00 - 9:00am slot and arrived bang on 8 to get ahead of the crowds. We left about 6pm, definitely got our monies worth🤣 Cheers...Andy&Michelle x
Great review and a place i have been to many times over the last 40 years it never disappoints and hasn't changed a bit . a proper little garden of eden ..
Thanks Tony, it was our first time there but it won't be the last, such a beautiful place 😀 We still need to hike downstream from Entrance 1, it wasn't advertised on the routes but I could see a path on my phone app
Beautiful photography, I was there in 2018 and it brought back all the memories of this special place. There is a little village nearby called Rastoke which has similar karsk waterfalls without the admission charges or the tourists, definately worth a visit if in the area.
Just googled and omg we can't believe we didn't know about Rastoke, we even drove past it as we entered Plitvice National Park from the north! Well its on the list for next time, thanks for the info👍😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Another hike added to our list for the next road trip! Thanks for your tips both 😄. Best bit of that hike was that cracking of the cap on the beer bottle 😍
We honestly didn't feel the distance at the time, the scenery was just so mesmerising 😀 as you'll see in the next video we had to go for a slap up breakfast the next day! Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Beautifully captured 🤩 it was lovely when I saw it on a changeable day with rain, but it looks gorgeous on a sunny day. I remember wanting to swim all the time, which was the biggest frustration, although I can understand why it's banned. When you come to Finland, you can swim in any of our 180,000 lakes without a worry 😁👍🏻 cheers guys!
Thanks Jared 😊yes those Plitvice waters look so inviting for a swim - but wouldn't with a few hundred tourists in there🤣 so maybe for the best. I just had to google lake temperatures in Finland expecting them to be quite cold but was pleasantly surprised👍 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
One of my favourite vlogs 😍 I visited Krka national park back in 2017 but didn’t make it far up enough for Plitvice however this has now put it on the list for future travel plans. Can’t wait for your next video - loving this tour 🤣
Glad you enjoyed the vlog 😊 we have the Krka vlog coming in about 2 or 3 video's time😀 we found Krka and Plitvice were very different experiences but which did we rate the better 😀⁉️cheers...Andy&Michelle
Wow, it’s really special when someone from NZ talks about jaw dropping beauty from a different country 😀 hoping to see those vista’s in NZ early 2024😀 cheers…Andy&Michelle
Great vlog with some stunning pics/views, just added this to my wish list now and as you suggest an early hours visit on the plan, can’t wait for the next vlog👍
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures Hi, I forgot to ask, having watched your Pula vLog, what coffee machine do you use and is the coffee to put in it, easy to get your hands on? I love my morning coffee.
Hi George, we use a Tassimo Coffee Machine with Kenco XL Americano Grande and Costa Latte. We've found the pods in Germany before but didn't see them in Croatia or Italy, good job we took about 100 pods with us 😀☕️ Cheers
Taking the boat? What's this, "(Less) Extreme Motorhoming Adventures" :-) Another cracking place though, looked very peaceful, good idea to get started early. 8 hours of walking was just like me at the NEC (and I did it for 5 days) OK, maybe I didn't walk non stop for 8 hours. I must admit I was expecting Andy to go for a dip when he was on that log.. Excellent as always. Thanks for sharing..
Yes the boat was a break from the extreme, we even worked out that our walking pace was faster than the boat🤣 One day at the NEC wears us out, don't know how you managed 5. Extreme Caravan Vlogging! 🏃♂️📹Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Superb guys. The coverage was amazing and so professional. I’m sure you’ve answered this one before Andy but what equipment were you using to capture it.
Thanks Steve 😊 I used a GoPro 360 Max for the ariel shots and a GoPro 10 for the everything else in 4k. (The 360 only renders out at 1080p so I have to upscale to 4k which looses a bit of quality). There's also a list of equipment in the video description if you should need a link😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Brilliant Vlog, so much information that you have shared, tips, activities, places to go. Quick question - what do you use to create the map graphics (route etc) that you use at the start of each of your videos ?
Thanks for this. It brought back happy memories. If you fancy seeing some photos of Plitvice Lakes I did a series of photo articles on the Macfilos blog site - you need to search under Plitvice Lakes and or my name. I suspect you'll be back there! I also recommend Paklenica and Krka National Parks, the hiking in Paklenica is spectacular. I also posted photo articles on them.
Hi Kevin, I've just been looking through your articles on Macfilos, wow those waterfalls need to be seen in full flow and in all seasons. Your articles are superbly written with so much information and the photography is superb😀👍 We visited Krka falls, that video is a couple down the line but we didn't see Paklenica, definitely next time! 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
