Pljeskavica is a traditional Serbian Burger that’s big, meaty and bursting with an amazing flavour. Easy to make, the base dish (everything except the onions) is prepared and refrigerated at least 4 hours in advance to allow the meat to absorb the flavours - we recommend leaving in the fridge overnight. This means less to do immediately before your meal or bar-b-que. Served in Pitta Bread with Ajvar and Kajmak (links below) and garnished with pickles and Tabuleh if desired, these will delight your friends and family and are a sure winner.
Ingredients:-
450 Gr Minced Beef
450 Gr Minced Pork
2 Tsp Salt
1 ½ Tsp Sweet Paprika
½ Tsp Black Pepper
½ Cup Sparkling Water
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 Med Onions finely chopped
Vegetable Oil for frying
