The most tragic thing, and perhaps the most challenging thing, facing every conscientious black man or woman out there is to allow the children of those who enslaved their ancestors to enslave them as well. If ever it happens, which I doubt with all the fiber in my body, it will simply mean we have not grown and we have not learned. In short, do not let the children of those who enslaved your ancestors enslave you as well. That would be tragic. We must fight oppression of any kind with all our might as long as we live.

I love this man and his talks. One thing I know for sure is that African problems are made in Africa. Ninety-nine percent of Africa's problem is leadership or the lack of true leadership. Both civilian and military leaders have let Africa down. That's why i don't have any faith in the recent coups in parts of Africa. It does come down to mindset as the professor articulates. We all cheer and applaud but what will you do differently if you ascend to higher offices in your country?
