@@matthewdavis4081 Depends on the weekend. I usually go to the Brookville Indiana show in September which usually is the middle of the month. You’re welcome to send me your phone number and I will text you when we have a plow day. We also harvest wheat with pull type combines in July.
First you decide how many plow bottoms your tractor is capable of pulling. For antique tractors most are 2-3 bottoms. If the tractor doesn’t have a 3 poi Point hitch do you have to purchase a trailer plow yes. Space if you have a three point hitch you can purchase of mounted plow if you don’t have hydraulics you have to purchase a trip plow which uses a mechanical trip to raise and lower the the plow from the ground so those are the basics.
@@rogermiller7411 Thanks Roger for asking the questions. We're running JD 8R tractors at 300HP. We farm a loamy-sand soil (not a sandy-loam). Tractors with the duals are close to 13' wide. We'd like to plow, say, 12-18" deep to bury residual organic material. We're thinking a semi-mounted 9 furrow Kverneland with #38 bodies. Am I on the right path?
