1:44 "Keep in mind that, unfortunately, there are no Grimhorn machine sites at this time." Fun fact! Just before this video came out, the developers released Patch 1.13, which adds Grimmhorns to the open world! Haven't found where yet, unfortunately.

Honestly I'm justa really big Dino nerd and that one of the reason I love the Horizon games. Just the fact that you can see there robotic animals is just amazing. My fav Dino used to be the Spinosaurus and when I saw they added the Slaughter Spine to Forbidden west I was so so happy. What I'd love to see is maybe a Acrocanthosaurus robot just to have another rival to the Thunderjaw (T.Rex) and maybe even a Therizenosaurus with those oversized claws it has would fit perfectly into Horizon Love the vids yo, keep them coming
Loving these machine spotlights, seriously. Would you ever consider a series showing your personal strategies against the tougher machines? I know there are so many ways to approach the machines in forbidden west but I always love seeing peoples strategies, especially on the hardest difficulties!
i swear plow horns are one of the op overrides around for a walking farm tool.as i also over ride a plow horn to harrass some apex clawstriders and watch them get obliteated in 2 hits
Easiest way to take out Plowhorns seems to be Tearblast arrows to their horns. On Normal, two Tearblast arrows can kill them. Haven't tested on higher difficulties however.
Did not know what the plant item was. Now I know. Thought it was the green buggers it spit out. Should have known that wasn't it after trying to grab it but couldn't. Ha ha.
I’m not sure if this is due to my bias towards horned creatures, or the fact that the Plowhorns are docile, but I think it’s a missed opportunity you can’t use one as a mount.
Nevermind, just an auto-update to the scan: "The Machine Catalogue entry for the Grimhorn will now auto-unlock after completing the quest "The Dying Lands" and the Apex Grimhorn entry will auto-unlock after completing "The Second Verse" if the machines were not scanned during their respective quests. We also added a save fix for players who have already completed these quest sections. The missing machine entries will silently unlock after scanning any machine, if their respective quest section was already done."
I would think the safest bet would be to slowly approach from the front. It’ll show respect for the machine. If you approach from the back, you may startle it and it’ll likely attack 🤣
Heyyy so I'm like new to the game and when I saw your video on the slaughterspine you said it would be corrupted but you have to have to do something to fully override it, what do mean exactly by that? And great content aswell a new sub. I tried overriding a plowhorn but they had a timer b4 they turned on you
He means when you earn the override for the slaughterspine you need to fix it before you can use it by getting specific parts and taking them to the workbench in your base.
You have to have a combined total of +4 machine override; you get 2 from the skill tree and can get another 2 from upgrading certain outfits, like the Recon and Technician

But how the f*** do you collect specific resources from them? I'm so sick and tired of this. I just wanna complete this stupid Plowhorn Override job already. and I feel you with the RNG. I always have terrible luck… case in point : the stream where I went 0 for 7 Stormbirds without getting a primary nerve. On ultra hard that took quite a while 🤣🤣🤣
@@unknown_2552 Last night I was actually able to get the Nerve part, but I didn't receive it from the Plowhorn's tale. Instead it was an entirely different part that dropped it. So I honestly don't know what all the fuss is about the internet claiming you get it from the tail, when I didn't. 🤷Weird.
