I’ve been plowing for about 20 years with 5 off in the middle when my daughter was little. I almost feel like it’s in my blood and it’s something I’ll always do. Thanks for the videos. I’ve always enjoyed them
I'm the guy in Florida missing out on all of that... Born and spent 18 yrs down here, joined the Coast Guard, and spent 25 years in northern MN and MI. Moved back to FL 10 yrs ago. I don't miss the snow all the time, but I do miss it enough to watch all your snow related content along with spending a couple weeks up the U.P. each winter snowmobiling with friends. Thanks for the shout-out 😉
i like talk more then no talk / butt this video was fun and new / i enjoyed the view from in the loader and was neat watching ya stack the snow up with the pusher / makes me want to get my old 94 explore back up n going / off road use only but she can push the snow. thanks for the awesome videos .
One of my favorite videos from you Stan. Love the honest ups and downs and legit conversations of a snow removal contractors life cycle during a live event.
Hey, rain or not, it was just cold enough overnights to justify salt over here. I am done with salters though, were going to brine next season. I use brine now on our atv and utv and wow does that have a massive effect on customer happiness. Burn down is instant, nobody tracks in salt into the expensive lobbies and whatnot, I cannot tell you how much praise it brings.
I can't get over how many awesome employees you have Stan. You have to rip most those guys out of the plows and send them home, or else they'll just keep working haha!
Good boss = good employees. Don't stress your workers and they won't stress you. Boss has to know how to treat everyone right and not make anyone feel undervalued or over worked. Simple but missed by way too many people.
Lol I’ve done 16 hours running a walkway crew , went home for 3 hours , then went out for another 12, now THAT is a workout .. all we had were shovels and one snowblower cause our other one broke .. I could spend 24 hours in a machine no problem
I agree and I am lucky enough to have a boss like stan we keep going and going until he threatens us to go home 😂 keep up the great work From upstate NY
Yeah this snow storm really put a beating on my plow and thank god it held up. Great job Stan and the crew. You guys are really out there working hard. Especially maintaining those school lots clean.
On 1/1/23 we got 2' of snow. Last time we got that much was in 1993. It is a blessing to see so much, but still worry about what spring will bring for my business.
Well, alot of us here in Florida, were in your shoes many moons ago Stan... 😁 I pushed snow for way too long.. So now thanks to you, I get to watch from a distance! Great stuff. Be safe brother!
I definitely like the conversations you have with us while you’re plowing. The music, not so much. I was in the landscape/snowplow business for 23 years, keep up the great work,
Stan, besides the great work that you and your team does. I wanted to let you know personally, that your edits are terrific. I love how you let us know who everyone is on video, and the song and band we hear. Please continue with your great work.
You're lucky to have all that snow so far this winter. I'm in Northeast CT and I have seen about 5 inches so far. My first storm in mid December had 4 and I had an inch on Monday.
Another good video, and of course I get to see my favorite ASV-S in action. What I just realized, is you are driving a Ford. I think I need to sit up straighter when watching. Thank You Dirt Monkey Force.
How cool. Watching your videos makes me want to come up from Tennessee and help you plow for a week. Keep 'em coming! And talk/no talk, it's all good. Be safe.
Man, that makes for some loooong days! But, ya gotta make hay while the snow flies.😁 Here in Illinois, just east of Moline, we have had a little over 6 inches of snow so far this season and about 2 inches of rain. We did have some below zero weather around Christmas. Just got enough to get some ice fishing in between Christmas and New Year’s Day and again the next week before it warmed up and melted along shore where we go. The storm you are in is supposed to be here tomorrow and dust us with up to 3 inches. Be careful out there.
Stan I do love how you take time to explain stuff and I enjoy the way you just quite an just Get-R-done watching your snow plowing videos is like a ride down memory lane, hmm you mentioned something about the school's my highschool would let me plow in the morning to get the busses out mainly inner city kids my first plow truck was a 74 International 1 ton p/u it had an ole Cummins 235 and pushed like a dozer . So thank you and all the guys at Dirt Monkey 💯 from Gaffney South Carolina formerly from Central Maine.
Great plowing action, Stan. Talking is good especially if you are explaining what we are seeing. I actually don't mind it. Stay safe and warm up there!
ive been watching your videos for years and i look forward to seeing them. after watching your snow plowing videos makes me want to invest in a plow and go start my own. cant wait to see more!
I have really enjoyed your videos and have a ton of respect for you with the attention to details you follow through on. So I was very surprised when you drove off with a foot of snow on top of your truck like that. It even fell forward over your own windshield when you pulled up to the worksite. This may have been the only time you have ever done this, but how bad would you have felt if that had blown off onto some families windshield behind you and possibly killed them. I’ve had snow hit my windshield on the highway from that and I was lucky I did not do any panic maneuvers and everything was ok. I wish more people would think of this before jumping on the roads. I will continue watching your videos because you really display a lot of up standing qualities to everyone around you.
Ha. I had enough snow in 14 years of living in Vermont to last a lifetime. Moved there from New Jersey and loved snow when I moved. Nope, I’m done. We had a heavy frost here in N. Florida this morning but it got up to 60 this afternoon. Back to shorts on Sunday. 😊
Stan, I do believe you have the best employees around buddy! I remember back in the 70's and 80's my dad was a city mechanic up in WV, they'd call him out when it snowed and he might be gone for 3 or 4 days until all the roads were cleared. That's back when it snowed so much us kids could dig tunnels thru the snow from being so deep😄 Those were the good ol days... God Bless brother 🙏 Jay.
If that happened in Acadia Parish down here in south Louisiana we’d be shut down faster than you can say pandemic. Anyhow it’s really good to see an employer that actually cares about his employees. Guys don’t stay at their company if they ain’t treated right and you have guys that have been with you for years, tells me a lot about you as a man.
S-DM- G -- I am in CANADA - We get Feet of snow - Inches of rain - and we just move it. Almost a 1 km driveway here at Central! I wish you your crew health and wellness. Cheers! You ALL are an inspiration! Thank YOU ALL
Yeah that rain on top of snow is very common here in coastal Maine. As you said it goes from fun to something else fast. We had a nice snowfall recently, which in less than 15 minutes of rain, turned to a nightmare. Luckily I had swapped from a Wideout style, to the Fisher Xv2 for the battle ❄️
There are times I miss it, but days straight weren't always fun, lol. Listened to music &/or the cb, to rock the night away. When ya plowed at 2am & they're calling at 6:30 that a bus is stuck (& you're still plowing accts!), def stressed ya out... Lol... Nice work, good flow, & edit too I suppose. Thanx !
Sitting in California with a T-shirt on and shorts. I lived in the Midwest when I was a kid never will I Live like that again. You should see if you could get a contract with the cities for big trucks.
You know what would be cool? Maybe you can invent one Stan, but imagine a car/ truck cover, but it’s heated just enough for snow to melt and not accumulate on the vehicle! For those who don’t have garage parking! I’d buy one! Especially for taller vehicles and trucks! Love these videos always have lol. Wintertime plowing videos are one of my faves, then my second favorite is your skid loader and demolishing vids!
I'm a hour north of Niagara Falls in Ontario. We are yet to have a good storm been out twice both were 2 maybe 3 inches. Keep up the great work been watching for years now
I have a Eden bass cab. Named after Eden Prairie. The Town the company was formed in. Awesome videos. I have to say. I’m not a fan of shoveling and snow blowing. U.P. Michigan Winters kinda suck. But we deal with it. It beats the heat in the south any day.
Amen to "couldn't do it"!! Been in Hawaii almost 31 years, been building our homestead for the last ten so I can get back home to Alaska!!!!! Miss snows and storms badly!!!!
Enjoyed the video format and music .. also like when you explain your methodology for whatever you're working on .. I'll never have experience at clearing and landscaping and enjoy watching pro's get it done . Make sure to get enough sleep and food .. those long shifts are difficult to keep focus and be alert .
Hey Stan, great channel, and I LOVE all the information you provide. Keep up the great work. 👍🏽 as far as talking, I love the commentary you provide. Y'all are a cleaner version of the Army lol. I know behind-the-scenes is a bit different but nonetheless, the comradery is definitely on point sir! If you ever find yourself on the way to the Upper Peninsula, drop a line.
I am 66 years old and as a kid I used to watch the guy come plow our neighbors across the street with his Jeep Wrangler ( I think that’s what they called them then) I still enjoy watching although that was in upstate NY just above Albany. I’ve lived in Salem Oregon now since 1975 in the Willamette Valley. The planets need to be in alignment to get snow here. I miss it
