In this part of video, you will learn what is Pre Validation stage of plugin.
This video helps you to write plugin on Pre Validation stage. Scenario here taken is to validate if any duplicate of auto number exists. If duplicate found then throw Invalid Plugin Execution Exception.
Plugins registration tool is used to register the plugin to Dynamics CRM.

This we can achieve using javascript also....but why Prevalidation only? I mean in which specific case we should go for prevalidation instead of javascript?

It was just for demo. You can think it as whenever there is some validation needed before create/update....and create/update is happening through some service, action, workflow but not by form interaction then best way is to use pre validation. If create/update is happening through crm form interaction then Javascript is best to validate.

Looking for practical example or business scenario where Prevalidation is the only option and best suited. is there any article/video for reference on this comparison with example?
