Dear Kim, I really like your videos, and I learned a lot. Your videos are really amazing and very informative. However I really appreciate if you could explain these important Grammer lessons in English. Because, we know you are putting lots of effort for creating these lessons. But, as beginners where we have very little knowledge of Dutch, we do NOT grasp half of what you are saying when we try to understand. Although we can see the captions you have included, and also we can enable "CC" feature in RU-vid, that is not same as hearing from the language (English) that we are used to. So, it is just a waste of energy from our side, which also then lead to frustration, as we see that you have put lots of energy to explain. Thank you very much. Keep up your good work.

I hope 😅 Some rules and words of the Dutch language are similar to German, others similar to English... and then there's the stuff that's just not similar to any of these two languages I speak fluently 😂 In general I must say, I am surprised at how much I understand what's being said (or written down), but speaking/writing in Dutch myself is still a struggle.

ik probeer het huiswerk: kamers, boeken, acties, en winkelen?? wann ik was eerst nederlands leren, apostrof-s voor meervouden erg verward-maken was???? omdat engels gebruikt apostrof-s alleen voor ... possessives and contractions. (ik moet taalkundig woorden leren. google zegt dat "phonology" is fonologie. ik hou van het. fonologie is een goede woord. en een goede ... taalkunde?)

Bijna goed, het is "winkels" for "shops". We hebben ook het woord "winkelen" maar dat betekent "to shop". En ja, taalkunde is linguistics! :)

de beklemtoonde lettergreep is verschillend in de twee woorden. indusTRIE koLOnie We schrijven -iën in koloniën omdat de -ie onbeklemtoond is. Vergelijkbare meervouden zijn: bacteriën, financiën, genitaliën, poriën.

Like what IS the plural for “more than one octopus” supposed to be!?” 😂😂😂 Is it really “octopi”? “Octopuses”? Not mention English’s plurals even contradict their own rules! 😝😝😝😂😂😂 Dutch doesn’t do that! 😝😝😝

Wor proper nouns with wor plurals in Dutch are gonna be just like how they are in English! “De twee Ronnies! ‘T is welterusten van mij en ‘ t is welterusten van hem!” I seriously doubt that’s how you say; “It’s goodnight from him! And it’s good night from me!” 😝😝😝 At least in Dutch there’s gonna be no confusion between “fork handles” and “four candles”! 😝😝😝😂😂😂 Yeah! ;) We English are infamous we LOVE our comedy! 😝😝😝😂😂😂

Dutchies to be - Learn Dutch with Kim No really though Kim! People’s names are gonna be the same getting an S right? :) “De twee Michaels meneer Bowers en meneer Galan-Diaz! XD Oh, oh! And believe it or not! Even though; “Jack” was always a common noun first I.E a jack of spades in playing cards (I think that type of “jack” means “knave/squire/trainee”. How and why it became a proper noun/boy’s name today is because... (It’s another way of saying; “John”) Somehow! XD So yeah! ;) “Jack” IS allowed in a game of scrabble or Countdown! But definitive proper nouns I.E (Sunderland cuz it’s a name of a place!)
