Pluto in the 7th 8th or 9th House of the Natal Chart 

I am interested in astrology, cemetery, alchemy, Gothic architecture,past lifes, wired dark music like songs by Vast, Muse etc ....I have Pluto in my 8th house as well.

Sounds like you did the right thing Angela. Those types of energies could make him very controlling with an aloof drama, where it's like he consciously or subconsciously creates the situation for you to question your feelings, his feelings and everything in between. Exactly what I saw in him. But it wasn't all a waste of time... I became aware of how aware I am, how strong my stance is, how much my self esteem has risen and that I am not putting up with stuff that doesn't benefit me any more. Look to aspects to your natal Mars sign to see why that might be. If there's anything with squares from Saturn or harsh aspects from Neptune or Uranus, that could be why.
