The thing that pushes Tubi over Pluto is Pluto is a TV model of “watch at this time to see your show” vs Tubi’s “here the shows choose which you want to watch right now”
I use both Tubi and Pluto TV. I use Tubi everyday to watch some independent movies and the originals. I sometimes use Pluto TV for Nickelodeon. So yeah, I prefer Tubi. One of my favorite ad-supporting platforms.
Since they are both FREE, I say use both of them. I think that Tubi has better picture and sound quality though. PERSONALLY, I prefer Tubi. My preferences (in order) are Tubi, Roku Channel, then Pluto.
Exactly. Using both is just another small way to stretch your streaming budget...depending on what you as the streamer is watching. 🙂 We'd likely go in that order as well.
I am also like the other commenters, I use and like both services. I usually scan through their channel selections and look for any SCI FI movies being shown or certain old TV series. I am a big SCIFI fan and watcher. Another good free service I go to is STIRR and is along the same content as Pluto or Tubi. I dont mind the Ads on any of these. They show Ads about the same as my OTA antenna channels. At least there are no Politics Ads shown on Pluto or Tubi. LOL! take care.
We've not used Stirr much ourselves, but always good to have another option for a FAST service. We'd agree on the number of ads on many of these vs. what you'll get via OTA. Ha, yes, that is a good thing. 🙂
@@FrugalRules What sorta box is best to receive OTA channels with an antenna? If you covered this subject will you point me in the right direction to a podcast from your choices? Thank you.
Thank you for this great video. I have Samsung OLED and QLED 4K Smart televisions. I have both Tubi and Pluto TV. However, I watch Tubi T.V. the most and I rarely watch Pluto. I am currently watching the 70's movie, Cotton Comes To Harlem on Pluto TV.
TUBI watcher on XBOX console here, the ads have a little progress circle in the upper left corner to show how much time is left before the program continues. I seem to recall seeing this for the past several months, maybe it matters which device people are streaming on? No experience with Pluto though.
Mmmm that's a tough one! Pluto is my go to for star trek, but Tubi has way less commercials and a ton of old school movies. Pluto has a ton of glitches too. There both useful though. Idk
Is there a way to get rid of the ads that pop up on the upper right hand corner when you pause Pluto TV? I already prefer Freevee to PTV, but these ads make PTV almost unwatchable.
I had Pluto it just came up when I switched to this type of tv watching than all of a sudden it switched to Goggle tv which I don’t like switched back to Pluto
I should point out that whereas Pluto TV is avaliable in many countries, Tubi isn't. I'm from the UK and so the only way of watching the latter is by using a VPN. however both are still great services for free!!
With all of the verses out of the way this doesn't it feel good that we can listen to music movies TV shows all for free and we only have to give away our email I mean that would basically be like me going to the movie theater and the only thing they ask is what my Facebook profile looks like it's extremely awesome
