Those "tinfoil hat" players as you called them aren't making their concerns out of nowhere. They've seen history repeat itself time and again with this company. WG is a company whose spots don't change.
Proof that they have already started Nurfing ships was after they released the Hyuga right after the first few weeks they nurfed the DPS and shell velocity of the arc to do less damage per volley now I noticed that on it and other premium ships as Arkansas, S. CAROLINA got a nurf in previous update
This is the same thing Bungie did on Destiny 2 and the main reason why I stopped playing that game. If what their saying is we're never going to release another awesome ship without nerfing it at some point then there's no point in buying another premium. The CE shit pissed a lot of ppl off (myself included) and this new idea is heading even further down the wrong road.

I'm running her with Belfast using Mikawa and Kuznetsov as inspirations with Range, Speed, Punch, Fixated and Refill. Rank is 16-2 on Belfast but 16-3 on both inspirations. As for mods I'm running Aiming, Steering, Concealment and Reload and I've been having great success with it at long ranges meanwhile the smoke comes in handy at close range but exposed it will get you insta-killed because she's a glass cannon like Minotaur and yes you can kite pretty well and get away with it like with Old Wichita. You can do also a full stealth build with Tyrwhitt using the Mikawa/Jerzy combo and use Torp Safari to stealth torp enemy boats btw.
If they are going to retain the ability to sell and nerf OP ships, then the obvious solution to avoid looking malicious they should compromise by reducing their overall pricing in the game. Lower these $70 ships down to $50. Still an insane price, but nerfs will feel less malicious and they will open up the market to more people. This is a compromise i feel is fair.
Bait and switch. WG needs to flesh out these ships before selling them. Basically you buy a product and then they change the product. Imagine you buy a Ferrari only to be delivered a Fiero. Another point, no company puts in a disclaimer unless they ARE going to change things.
They already effectively nerfed the Weimar by moving to tier 7 without changing any stats like its T6 hit point pool. Maybe they nerf stats on the Plymouth or maybe they just up tier it and WG can say they didn't actually nerf the boat as the stats haven't changed.
cool I prefer a vonesson build for these all AP things. and As far a this thing getting nerfed, think the question should be, are there other ships, ship builds, or new strategies that counter this well? if the answer is no, then maybe a nerf is acceptable. but its armor is trash so I don't think a nerf will happen.
Seems like a very powerful yet squishy ship. I honestly think given the scores and overall power of this ship it could be nerfed. That being said, as mentioned it's a lot of money to put down for something that is just going to be weakened. Overall a fair compromise to me would be to up tier it to 8 rather than a nerf. Side note I dev struck a broadside Plymouth yesterday in an Azuma! Keep angled or position well there folks, she squishy!
Everybody wants smoke AND radar but nobody likes B43... Great Fiji on steroids. Just hope WG considers lowering the prices, since some T6 also did, after the Friesland/Loyang campaign.
I have been playing since October 2018.. Alpha tester with Texas Alpha, have about 90% of the Premium ships. I stopped buying once they announced their policy change. I will just rely on free crates and global xp now. I was always disgruntled free crates would not give me a ship before anyway, maybe now they will.
If they were to nerf I'd expect something on the lines of making the reload closer to the Edinburgh, so adding upto a second to the reload. It'll come down to what the stats say when the average Joe's get plenty of play time.
@@typeoddnamehere2362 I would say it's not as simple as amount of guns, the Plymouth only has SAP and the armour is worse, only 8 torps compared to 16 in the suzuyas. The Plymouth has some great tools (smoke/radar) though.
I don't get what the big deal is nerfing an op premium ship. I mean, if WG had any sense at all they'd start a premium on the weak side and then incrementally buff it until it's right, but people crying about an overpowered premium being nerfed smacks of pure entitlement - something like, "I paid money so I deserve an unfair advantage!" completely disregarding the game experience of everyone else who didn't buy that ship and has to deal with it.
Stop calling ship is a boat. Boats are a small vessel which cannot carry large objects. On the other hand a ship is something that can carry lifeboats as well as huge objects. Anyway nice vid.
Definitely not gonna buy it. Really wanted to but I know this ship is gonna be nerved. I'm not paying full price for something. For them to manipulate later. I will pay half price in about 6 months to a year to add it to my collection after I see what shakes out as it becomes discounted. It's been an ongoing struggle with war gaming content its so expensive$$$. Me and my buddies always said if they brought the digital content price down they would sell so much more. At what point do you have more ships than you can ever play in A-day or week!
Great game. Glad to see the diversity WG is adding to the game smoke ap only British cruisers so original. Wish they thought of this earlier. Dev striking them in the Siegfried has been fun today.
The timing of it’s release after announcing the balance disclaimer is too sus. Once sales fall off it will be nerfed and on to the next hype premium. I want a balanced game but I also will not buy future premiums that look very strong.
They need to stop bringing ships with a three tier difference from pc to console. That's just stupid. And if Plymouth will be our Weimar 2.0 (in some way) in the future, they definitely should rearrange their balancing big time.
Why would anyone think WG can't nerf a ship? Same company has been nerfing premium tanks for almost 12 years. Too many gamers think they are lawyers, meanwhile WG has a staff of legal experts LOL. You spending real money on it is irrelevant. Maybe the fine print for this game was different than WoT - i dunno. When they nerfed a 70 dollar tank into the ground last year, they pointed out this fine print, provided two middle fingers, and that was that.

@@rogiba5115 Not exactly. When you buy "A", you get "A" - it just happens to change six or twelve months down the road. That in itself discounts the argument of a "bait & switch". I actually called some lawyer friends i had asking / stating the exact same thing you did when a premium tank got nerfed hard. Apparantly bait and switch occurs at the point of transaction - not afterwards. The way WG got around their shady-ness on the tanks side was a little section buried in the user agreement that actually said, "you are not buying a tank, you are renting access to it and its statistics may change". I'm not a lawyer and I certainly am not defending wargaming, but I would almost guarantee the ship user agreement is very similar to the tank user agreement since it's from the same company. They just bury this crap in there where no one will ever notice it. Shady AF.
Selling a digital ship for the price of a triple AAA game is outright disgusting a lot of people don’t even earn that a day pretty sad but it’s true you would of thought with everything going up in the real world they would lower the prices but hey let’s blame Putin for raising the prices of gaming 😂
All I can say is that I enjoy sinking whales!! Why would you buy a T7 for 17500 when we bought many at 2500. We know it'll be adjusted just like every other ship in the game
when did they increase the ships to 17500? that's beyond any sort of value and im a 32 year old guy with money to burn on shit like this. its not that i cant afford it, it's just shit value even at 10k dubs.
