The body of the late Deputy Prime Minister Sam Basil was flown into Port Moresby on Sunday evening.
Present to receive the casket at the airport, was Prime Minister Marape, Minister in charge of National Events Justin Tkatchenko, fellow parliamentarians and members of the United Labour Party.
Relatives and the general community in Port Moresby showed up to mourn with the late Deputy PM’s family.
