"Kolkata didn't die. It was murdered" will go down as one of best lines in the history of this channel. Mark my word. I felt these lines since from my village people used to go Kalkatta. Then they moved to Mumbai, including my grandfather. Good people are coming on the show.
" Kolkata did not die it was murdered ".... It can very much resonate with my thoughts about this unfortunate saga. 😥😥I saw it too. A long story to tell.

Easy to destroy. Nearly impossible to rebuild. BC Roy used his influence with Nehru to bring all sorts of industries to the city, and to the state. Calcutta did not just lose out to Bombay and Madras... but to Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Amdavad, Surat, Vadodara, Coimbatore, Noida, Gurgao... ... and Bhubaneshwar.

Why still they kill their daughter for marrying other caste man? But they dont kill their son for marrying other caste woman. Why in Kolkata all the rapist name are hindi speaking hindu and bengali muslim. I don't see bengali hindu name as rapist. In ur hindi speaking people are doing rape, female foeticide, honor killings. What u gonna say about it?. Bengalis go to work in Maharashtra, marathi hates bihar up walas but they don't hate bengalis, why? Because bengalis don't go there to increase crime, to marry local woman and change demographics like up biharis. They mingle and learn local culture they dont favour their caste unlike up biharis. In front of my eyes I saw SCI office shifting to mumbai, then Brookbond, and scores of other companies closing their shop. Bengalis had a laid back attitude, the work culture was totally different. Singur was the final nail in kolkotas coffin. Where Kolkata was drying, Mumbai was flourishing. Most of the whose who of Indian industry shifted base to mumbai. West Bengal was taken apart, brick by brick, by Shri Jyoti Basu & his cronies. They had an agenda to destroy Bengal, at whose behest, really do not know. Industry, Education, Law, were targeted. Mr. Sanyal rightly said, Bengal, / Kolkata was murdered. And currently dance of death has taken place.
They were under CCP China payroll, their target was not only Bengal but damage whole India with their labour union. They became successful bcs America was foolish & racist. They made China global factory by harming India from 1980s with a plan. They even tried to block computers in India so that India remains weak & Service sector benifit goes to China just like manufacturing sector went. Communists r very dangerous for Indias growth & well being. They will always create hurdle behalf of their CCP masters.

Yes. Kolkata's descent is something we witnessed in front of our eyes. From being the corporate headquarters of multinational corporations and the happening place to a backwater now. We still remember a scene from toe movie Anand, in one scene Amitabh Bachchan or was it some other character say about Rajesh Khanna - elaaj karaane ke liye Calcutta asya hai (from Delhi) or something to that effect. Excellent. Straight, simple and intellectually stimulating. This is about India. It's also a lamentation on the decline of Kolkata and Bengal. Having spent my childhood in Kolkata, I find myself more Bengali than Maharashtrian. Kolkata gave me a wonderful education. It had a back up. You could clear your doubts with your seniors in your pada who patiently explained the things to you. I have thereafter lived in a lot of cities and States but nothing comes close to my Kolkata of the sixties. The lamentation on the decline of Kolkata strums a very sad note and I hope to see a prosperous Kolkata before the last grim call.
I am a simple man I see Sanjeev Sanyal on a podcast I click without any hesitation. Amazing podcast sir. Taught us a great deal on our Economical History and the work done in past 6-7 Years. Thanks a ton!
I have heard about it from my father about the communists. He left the country while being young, a self made man, decided to come back and start a business in the mid 70's, it failed due to the communist ideology, bandh culture, no incentive to work but to complain z he left the country for good. The state was murdered and now it's butchered by the new TMC.. Save Bengal
I have huge respect for the land of Kolkata because of it's immense contribution in the independence of our country. I think With political stability, it can pose serious challenge to every other developed cities of the world. Kolkata, we want you back as one of the major engine in our journey towards Amrit Bharat.
I recall when I was a young boy in Kolkata (then Calcutta) in the mid 60's, I was introduced by some working colleagues to some of the concepts of C. Rajagopalachari of the then Swatantra Party. One of C Rajagopalachari's views was the stupidity of the Licence Quota Permit Raj. Looking back today I can see how very correct he was. Nehru was undoubtedly a patriot of India but a very poor judge of what was good for the country. Had Rajagopalchari's views been adopted in the 60s, India would be very close to what China is today if not supersede it in its economic power.
Sanjeev is one of the few torch bearers whom many Indians would like to emulate and serve their motherland to the best extent and be a part of the history being created to bring India back to our centries old era when India contributed hugely to world economy. Those that are calling such names and infact he mentioned about why there is this confidence in the country, it is bringing back Sanatan dharma and bring back the culture of the country that was getting lost due to previous government as they were as we know better working for the enemy states for their personal gains. States like Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Changing the culture by missionaries and Islamisation. They can say all nonsense about Sanatan dharma, calling it a virus but dare not say a word against the Islamic radicals and missionaries.
