"PM Modi has done a lot for Sikhs and Sikhism": Former pro-Khalistan leader

The founder of Dal Khalsa and former pro-Khalistan leader Jaswant Singh Thekedar has lauded the work undertaken and accomplished by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the country's Sikh community, saying that he admires the community and has done a lot for its people.
In an interview with ANI, Thekedar said, "Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has done a lot for Sikhs and Sikhism. He loves our community. He has done a lot -- ended the blacklists, opened Kartarpur Corridor, and talked about Chhote Sahibzadas (the sons of Guru Gobind Singh)."

Unlike Abrahamics we don't have a couple of prophets that talk about their own gods and ask people to follow their cult or burn in hell. We believe in unifying all sects and acceptance of the same. We also believe path to the eternal can be multiple unlike Abrahamics which believe in their own path to be the only truth. Also we see all humankind as one whereas the Abrahamics divide us on the basis of believers and non believers.

The concept of one God with properties mentioned in the vedas, all Gurus with names of Sanatan (there's no Jaspreet, Harjot etc), Guru teaching everyone to look like Rishis of Sanatan (uncut hair and above the temptations of this world), Narayan and Ram being the most frequently used names to denote God in Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Dasvi Patshahi Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji praying at Maa Naina Devi temple for a year and being blessed with a sword by Maa (there's a written and signed document in the same temple by Guru Teg Bahadur and Guru Gobind Singh Ji themselves in the very same temple), Guru Maharaj writing Ramayan and Krishan Avtar himself. The list goes on and on which clearly shows the relationship of Sikhi with Sanatan. You're a sect with a particular set of Rehat Maryadas ordained by Dasvi Patshahi himself to make sure you see the clear path towards unifying with God.

I would urge my Indian govt to please look into this matter very peacefully and try to understand the sentiments of Sikh community on what things are they looking forward for from us . A peaceful resolution is utmost requirement. We have to understand that they have given their blood and sweat for this country and hence they have full authority to ask few things which they believe is necessary. Because ground reality is 90-95 % Sikhs worldwide desire the Khalsa raaj (Khalastan), and a lot of people want this man in the video dead for some of the atrocities he did in the Uk against Sikhs. That’s why he’s begging for safety from modi and bharat. There’s always a back story to a story .
