Prime Minister Narendra Modi today spoke on the Manipur issue in Parliament for the first time amid Opposition's allegation that he had "turned his back" to the violence-hit state. PM Modi launched a scathing attack on the Opposition for "politising" the sensitive issue and said that the Centre is committed to bring normalcy in the state.

He is stating "Development of NE is necessary and one of main priorities of India to gain connectivity and relation to ASEAN countries. His party has done a lot of work in NE which equals how much Congress would have done in 20 years" He claims "where so many groups fought each other in NE before, now the welfare of people in NE has taken a lot of progress. Violence in Manipur has reduced from when it started. " Above all in a nutshell. Well you guys can fill us how much of this is true.

@@kunalsinghal1247 the peak of violence and killings in Manipur can not be at peak all the time, BJP govt is just watching like watching a violent movie and saying now fighting,not not fighting. Also you and see and compare the development in the mainland and the mortheast, then you'll definitely notice the step motherly treatment though youll never admit it externally .how Central govt has developed even the J&K and hill regions like UK,HP. Northeast people may never be able to beat you people from mainland in debate and cunningness but it does not vhange the fact and the ground level.
