‘Light at the end of the tunnel’? What a ridiculous cliche! What the country wants to see is genuine progress and a reduction in the cost of living, not these silly sound-bites! They could start by reversing the abolition of the Winter Fuel Payment to pensioners. We see politicians accepting thousands of pounds in freebies, but poorer pensioners have their £300 docked! Something wrong there. Shades of ‘Animal Farm’ methinks?

Property is 11.5x my salary, and I'm £8000 above the annual living wage. In order to have the same opportunity as pensioners did in the 70'/80's, and have Property 4x my salary, I'd need to earn £85,000 per year as a single person. How's that right!

This also happened under the Tories when there was a ‘scandal’ or ‘news’ multiple MPs are asked the same question for weeks and give the same answer for weeks or someone goes off script and that is the new ‘scandal/news story’. Is he talking about the coming future event when pensioners have died from freezing to death and pass on to the next life, that tunnel & light that people who have had near death experiences say they saw? Or is it Labour MPs will have a cap on their expenses and 'donations' and are only allowed a maximum £100,000 a year on top of their 'earnings'? I think Labour messed up, they needed to show the objective prior to stealing the winter fuel payment, might have been good to announce a few things to help those in need as a result. They shot them selves in the foot...knee...hip..shoulder.
