Nope, that doesn't do it. That merely triggers an election, Trudeau would still be the party leader during that election. The Liberal MPs want Trudeau to step aside, so a new Liberal leader can emerge and become PM, so the new leader has a year in office to learn the ropes, and make his/her mark.

I’m curious to know about what Trudeau’s yes men don’t agree with. I mean on which policies they don’t agree with him when have been very disciplined in supporting him all this time. I cannot see freeland , Fraser, Joly or the environment minister being part of that group since each one of them could even be worse than Trudeau when it comes to policy making and that by itself says a lot.
