5 minutes in and I'm already out losing it at the absurdity in the way you endanger Toadette by getting the super boots during the bomb's countdown. "Congratulations! You found the Super Boo- wait... what is that ticking sound? WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S A TIME BOMB SET TO EXPLODE IN 200 SECONDS?!?!"
To our defense, there's no new ground in these latest encounters: • weird opera vocals in game music; • Mario games getting destroyed. Speaking of which, I was happy to see you at the conclusion of your calvary when Bismuth closed his magnum opus. You might want to comment his "complete history" video too! And maybe I'll see you again when I cover Splatoon.
@@jc___underscore___Lore wise that would probably work. Considering that the door just requires 7 crystal stars. The order likely doesn't matter either. In game it just has that order because that's the order that mario delivers the stars in.
the recurrent joke of rawn hawnk gettin flattened by bowser over and over xD : that was the cup of grace in this video! good Job Dude! that was interesting...
Any video that begins with a declaration of boredom must be worthwhile. This is no exception - very good idea, editing, a running gag and a red thread that keeps us hooked!
I like how the game has different "flags" to make sure things are how they think it should be (being a linear story and all), and when you activate a different one out of sequence, the game determines that something was off and changes the world around you to fit the chapter it thinks you should be in.
I have question that I couldn't answer for a long time: What will actually happen if Shadow Mario could manage to defeat Doopliss in the first 2 turns before Vivian come back to fight on Mario's side. If you know, please let me know too.
Whenever you use Showstopper with the Garnet Star(s?), it doesn't seem to consume star power. I'm assuming that's a function of the glitch? It doesn't cost anything because you shouldn't have it, correct?
Still costs 2 SP. Your max SP after getting the Garnet Star increases to 7 because that's how much you should have at that point. But since the other Stars were skipped, the SP bar looks glitched.
So the yoshi color is determined by a timer, right? With the glitch, does the yoshi always come out green? (Because I am assuming the timer never started?)
@@Koopatrol I thought the starting colour for yoshi was always green, after 6 minutes it goes to red, and so on (and loops back after the cycle, which lasts 20 minutes). Weird
@@Koopatrol Really? I thought that bosses that are kept at the bottom of the room are able to be retriggered infinitely, but maybe it only works that way in the original Paper Mario
Great video! Thanks for uploading! 10:10 Is Hazard Respawn glitch that much more difficult than the Super Jump? 10:24 Lol. Blimp Ticket Skip IS a pain, isn't it? 11:26 -Oh no! How will you get your first Garnet Star now?!- 13:37 Ah yes! The one of a kind treasured Crystal Star! Like the other 6, it is unique among the 7, & so, even any other Crystal Stars you may get are unlike it! 14:52 Lol. What an abridging of that intermission. 15:20 Typo or just informality? 15:51 Goombella, what are you even doing? 18:34 Lol. 19:27 Seems we slipped into the timeline where Mario became Champ & Jolene & Grubba continued to work in harmony. Yay? 19:56 There's your "Thank you", Goomba Bros. Goombella was right; They're chickens indeed! 20:04 Wait, did you somehow not select ANY of those dialogue options?! 22:22 Nah, I think he's just that good at getting into trouble; You saw KP Pete call him Bandy Andy, & the camera DID take its "eyes" off of him for a second.... 23:37 Maybe he only does Special matches now? 26:09 Get to Chapter 3, collect Garnet Star #3! It's like pottery! I mean potter-three.... Erm. Poethree. Poetry. 26:29 Man, Rawk Hawk's spine must be a fine powder by now.... 27:16 Rawk Hawk! You're still walking & talking?! He sure got back fast.... Also, in regards to actual story, if he was just doing this to be a heel & trash talk Gonzales, why do it here, in the hall where no fans can see? 27:29 You'd think he'd have learned his lesson by now.... 27:47 Lol, the Showstopper for style. (Though, why were you buffed?) 28:13 That's the last time, eh? 28:24 Awww.... 31:24 Lol. Accidental Star Piece? 35:44 Good call. 36:44 Finally, you get your 6th Crystal Star, & from Chapter 6, of course! -If you're not counting the Diamond Crystal Star, anyway....- 36:51 Nice dodge, Flavio. 38:03 From behind the Pedestal now. Nice touch. 38:10 Really, it speaks volumes about Rawk Hawk's toughness that he survives this. No wonder he's champ! I wonder what his training regiments are actually like.... 38:34 Flavio, what are you even doing? 38:48 I guess you did choose the faster option.... 39:44 Lol. Clever edit to skip it. The Curse Chest himself was pretty unenthusiastic, so it makes sense. 40:13 Who says there's only 7 Crystal Stars?
Can you use the File 2 Super jump also on a new save/pre hooktail save to possibly do any revert for even more garnet stars? It be interesting if there is a way to. I'm uncertain if anything related to shwonk fortress or castle hooktail sets any flags for chapter updates since I'm not very knowledgeable on TTYD
Y'know, I just had a thought. Would it be possible to use skippable storyline triggers like the ones in The Great Tree in the Epilogue to start a sort of New Game+ run? How far could you even get in such a state, assuming otherwise normal gameplay? Could you do multiple runs if you skipped more than one storyline trigger?
Behold the stupidest speedrun strat I have ever seen. Someone really should send this to the speedrun community to see if they can turn this into a beat shadow queen before chapter 1 ends
I'm not totally sure but can't you use a boundary glitch like used for cage skip to bypass the Thousand-Year Door and immediately go to the final chapter inside?
