Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim both stressed the need to resolve outstanding issues between both countries in a swift and amicable manner.
Speaking at a joint press conference on June 12, the two prime ministers acknowledged that the current issues should not deter both countries from exploring new avenues.

Malaysia should let the water agreement expire in 2061 and if Singapore wants to buy water, it will be under a new agreement for every 10 years. That way, the water will be sold at market value and the dispute will be settled for good.

Dun bother, still same old way. They will beat round the bush. Ordinary Malaysians are exactly like their politicians, talk a lot and beat round the bush. Several I met are like that, they think they are very smart, l let them talk to themselves.

There's no need to resolve it, the water agreement will expire in 2061 and if Singapore want to continue buying water from Malaysia, it should be a 10-year contract at market price
