I've said it once and I will say it again, I can attribute so much of my abilities as a composer to this game, It was single biggest inspiration to write music, and it still is. Over a Decade later and I still cry like a baby everytime I hear it. I wish i could meet the people who made this and the original, so I could tell them how much they mean to me.

This was my favorite game as a kid, and I always wanted a remix of these emotional songs. This game and it's nature changed my life. I still think about it, my partner, everything. I wish that official remixes as good as these could be made and download as music files.

*TLDR: NOT FITTING WHiTH CONTEXT BC IT DESTROYS SUSPENSE* Allright one was bad enough but two now i have to answer. The original song was slower, quieter and also a bit more mystic than most of the songs that came beforehand. This is because Hidden Highland comes right before two Climaxes in the Story, the first one being the battle with Dusknoir and second one being the tower of time. Two intense Moments with epic and fast paced music pieces that are fitting to the stakes. The song has a very heavy and slow pace which contrast with the two fast paced following after. Hidden Highland on the other hand is slow to build up suspense for those two moments. If any of those climaxes had come right after the ride on Lapras it would have lacked this suspense. If you also take into consideration what Hidden Highland is as a place, a place old as time itself, a place which has seen so many years, and has not changed in all these years (indicated by the fossil pkmn) Hidden Highland is probably full of tales and misterys on its own, as it is this grand lost kingdom on the other end of time, forgotten over time with its buildings been overgrown, the names of the pkmn or the people who buildthis land lost. *The song is fittingly to this very slow and quiet but also somewhat reminiscent and acknowledging of this gone time, with it also having a hint of epicness, which is totally ost in the remix with its epicness overdrive. Thats why i dont think this Remix holds up to the original. But i can agree that this Remix holds up on its own but not if taken into context.
