For a second week in PMQs, Rishi Sunak began his round of questions to the prime minister on the matter of the winter fuel payment cuts.
Mr Sunak asked of the PM: "Will he now publish the impact assessment before the House rises?"
Sir Keir Starmer hit back, referring again to a £22bn "black hole" in finances.

Whatever the justification for cutting the winter fuel payments, the lack of empathy by Starmer and his party is appalling. It just reflects really badly on him, Reeves and the others. I have no doubt there are difficult decisions to be made but making them first before acting on the easy money saving solutions such as cutting foreign aid, housing illegal immigrants etc really is just plain bad form.

£13,000 ÷12 = £1,083.33. If any of the pensioners are renting their rent will swallow this up on its own, never mind anything else. These people worked hard for their country. These politicians forget one day too if they are lucky they will be elderly. They should remember that fact.
