And now scan every part with 3D scanner scale up and you have all measures to build real car :D Well most of them ;) Of course without engine and gear box etc... But exterior is geniue :) This can be 3 years custom hobby project :)
I just ordered the Pocher Model kits 1:8 - Lamborghini Aventador, and i am excited about it, however in reviewing the video and still images i noticed "orange peel" in the paint works, this is a little concerning to me.... I presume this will be improved prior to distribution of the kits?
I run a Hobby Shop and I have to say that when I saw the article in my latest trade mag I was very pleased to see that Posher was going to be back. Back in the day (Before I owned a Shop) I always dreamed of having a Posher Model, Now I hope you have great success with your first kit as I look forward to what you'll offer next, and as well I hope you have plans to reintroduce a few of the older kits as well. Good Luck and I hope to carry your kits in my store soon...... Bill K , ABC Hobbies
Thank you for the information, I am eager to begin building the kit. Can you provide some images of the interior and perhaps the specifications of the model?
Brings a old boyhood joy to my heart to see this level of modeling back in the available market... My pipe dream for future consideration... 1939 Lagonda Rapide Tulipwood Boattail Racer... 1/8 scale. I'm sweating.
Hugh, Thanks I completely forgot Brady, I have ordered kits from him before and he is very reputable. Thanks for the reply, I will mention you referred me to him.
I sold my perfectly good REAL car for less then what this cost :) Still if I could afford as in had no other priorities probably would get one. I will be interested in a few years time but please make Japanese cars as well and not just Lambos. Good stuff!
finally pocher is back in action-however i wish that instead of the Aventador, if we are talking lamborghini , the countach was released, i do not see the Aventador as an iconic supercar....but.... i am glad for the new model, hope all goes well pocher and you start producing more :)
I wonder will it have real leather seats and interior? And if not will it look and feel close to the real thing? Really excited about this one.Way to go Hornby!
By the way: As we are sticklers for details we plan to use ESP (electrostatic spray painting) for the body parts - just like for the parts of real cars.
I am glad Pocher is back on the market! I am delighted! I wonder about the choices of car models, though. When you did a Bugatti, why didn't they do a Type 35 or a Royale? The model they chose is nice, don't get me wrong. But it seems like they choose the brand, but miss the really significant model that they should have picked. What about a 1/8th scale Ford Model T or Ford Model A? The choice of the RR Phantom II was good, as well as the Merdedes models. Both impressive! Also the Alfa-Romeo!
I ordered this. However, as time has passed since selling, the price is rising due to lack of inventory. I bought it for about $ 1000. It is supposed to arrive in another week in another schedule for another three weeks after ordering. Oh, I can not wait.
Don't worry, each kit will be perfectly painted - just like the real car. The video shows the first hand-painted prototype we built from the first parts. It was made to see how everythings fits and of course to make photos, the video etc.
OMG I can't believe it !!!!! Fantastic model !!!! Great to read that Pocher is in business again, can't wait to have the model. Hope to see more from you :) ! What about the Classic line?
Hi, I am 17 so I can relate. I have been building models for at least 13 years. I have just bought this model and it is amazing quality. I don't recommend it to you because it does cost around $800 and is not be the easiest model to start with. I recommend going to hobby lobby and pick up a $20 or $30 model to start with. Don't go below $20, the quality is not there and it will just frustrate you. After 10 models or so you might be ready. It is actually easy to build, mostly held together with screws and some glue. You don't have to paint it if you don't want too. The body is already painted, which I am really thankful for. Some parts you might want to add some color too but again, not needed. If you don't hurry it and take it nice and slow I think you could do it.
Hello and thank you! Give us some days to relax after the 2013 Nürnberg toy fair and we will update the information about our distributors on pocher.com. Kind regards from the Nürnberg Toy Fair!
What makes me so frustrated is that the damn company only makes one model every few years. They haven't revived any past models and I really would love to get a Ferrari Testarossa but that'll never happen. They cost a whopping $1,000 and up on Ebay. I don't know if it's worth the risk. The seller could send you one with broken/missing parts and you might not realize it. By then, EBay will say "sorry, your fault, we won't refund your money." One last thing: although they sound expensive, Amalgam models cost almost three times more in 1:10 scale BUT they don't have any working doors, hood or trunk! That makes no sense. Amalgam should put those on if they want so much money for their models.
Hi and thanks! Well, we just relauched the brand and this is our first new model - but not the last... ;-) Stay tuned to our website pocher.com and this RU-vid-channel to receive more information. Kind regards from the Nueremberg Intl. Toy Fair!
SO HAPPY Pocher is back! Now I don't have to even consider Almagam and their high prices. They'll sell you an unassembled kit but with no instructions! I'm sure enthusiasts all over are writing in their suggestion for models. Here's mine. It's sleeper but its drop dead gorgeous. Most beautiful interior, in my opinion: Spyker C8 Aileron. To get the Aventador, go to Hornbyamerica dot c o m!
