This comment is waaaay too late _but,_ crabs have to get oxygen when they are out of the water and they will "chew" a small amount of water to mix it with air and get oxygen from this process. This helps the crab both breath and cool off in the process! This is where the whole bubble crab trope comes from.

Could be worse. I remember playing Max Payne 2 a looong time ago, killing the boss the same second he killed me, getting the comic cutscene and level transition, then dropping dead at the beginning of the next level. Restart the level, same thing happens, the autosave is forever broken. Now that's an ultimate Fuck-You from a game if I ever seen one.

Man, that bamboo dude died like a freakin' Mechaniloid! xD Classic. :3 I love how in older games such as this, when you die, your character falls over, or yells out, or maybe has a little explosion, like in Megaman. Yet every enemy/boss, no matter how organic and non-machine-like they are, killing them is like igniting a bunch of small cluster bombs. It's ridiculous, but it's fun, and nostalgic. :3 Also... That Nopino Kraken screwed you guys!! ^^;;

What I found quite interesting about Pokcy and Rocky was that... a lot of the enemies are actual monsters, known as yokai or yurei, from the Japanese folklore: -Little plumpy red dolls: Darumas -Umbrella monsters: Karakasas (Part of the Tsukumogami yokai, like the flying lantern: Burabura) -Long neck monsters: Rokurokubis -Little green fishmen monsters: Kappas -The little fireballs monsters could be: Hitodamas -The little one-eyed boy monsters: Hitosume-kozo And they all have their purpose.

Yeah me too, so many friends with various beliefs. In fact, my physics teacher in highschool was one of the nicest old men you would ever meet. He loved his job and his field. He was way overqualified for the position. His specialty was on black holes, and he would often be a guest speaker at the local university. He was also smuggled from Nazi Germany just before the outbreak of the war and has remained a modern orthodox jew his entire life. It was an honour to be taught by him and to know him.

Crabs and bubbles are synonymous in Japan; whenever you see a crab in a Japanese game, it'll be involved with bubbles somehow. I never understood this until I visited a Japanese-style fish market, and the crabs in the ice were alive and blowing bubbles.

its actually a really shitty argument with many flaws, but i would really rather not get into that discussion here. when people discuss these things over the internet and not face to face, nobody is rational and they just cut eachother down. they lose all ability to have an interesting debate, and it turns into an angry hate fest. even people who think they can are simply wrong. im not being arrogant, ill be the first to admit to this.

this kind of old hard game, where the grumps are like this playing and actually trying and into that im invested with..this is the grumps i love! i like watching them play sonic, the game is hilarious to watch, but i can tell that arin and jon just really arn't having fun. they play shit like paper boy and just know it sucks, but then something like wild guns comes along and you see them really try and get into. Those are the funniest, best series. oddly enough, on my bday. thanks grumps.

I almost raged so hard at the start of this video when you kept not noticing that you were sharing lives and stealing the other player's lives if you didn't start with them. So glad you two finally noticed. As for the power-ups, I think I got it: Black Orbs = Multi-Shot. Each time you grab it, your shot power increases, giving you larger wards/leaves or more of them. Red Orbs = Fire-Shot. Each time you grab it, the power of each shot increases. But you can't have both! One or the other.

Y'alls biggest flaw is that you just stay on one screen for to long fighting infinitely spawning enemies and never move on until your already to injured to make it past the next screen. That's the major problem here, you just need to clear a path and move forward.

Definitely need to learn to use the sweep attack to deflect bullets... It's way easier than trying to dodge them.

Um, a little tip for you guys... When you two are coming off of a game over, Jon isn't pressing start on the character select screen before Arin chooses his character and goes to the stage select. That's why you start the game just as Pocky, then Rocky steals a life and comes in. Also, with the items, the dark blue orbs are multi-shot, while the orange orbs do single-shot fireballs (I think they're stronger). If you take a hit, however, your weapon downgrades. Also, the green orbs are bombs.

"Chinese Knockoff Mr. Fantastic" is actually a Rorokubi, another Yokai like the Kappa or Tanuki. They're basically ladies with really stretchy necks they use to scare people.

So it looks like they have the upgrade system of powerups down, but it's also important to note that if you get hit, your powerup delevels. This game looks brutally difficult for a children's game. Maybe it's just not what I'm used to, but it looks so chaotic xD

If you guys are going to continue playing this game I'll note that at the character selection screen if you guys don't both pick your characters and only one starts off the second player will steal a life to enter for the first time. Take it from the guy who loves P&R :)

You're missing out on a few key details here. First of all, there's a very habitable planet that we live on. We have water, a sun to give us warmth and grow our food, and most of us have friends and family we can rely on. As for those who died of disease, if they were good, they're rewarded for their actions and their sufferings in heaven. As for those 5-year-old children, they're not guilty of any conscious evil, so they don't suffer period. I say the good far outweighs the bad.

Thanks for that. Yeah, I have always wanted to visit the sistine chapel and many of the great ancient synagogues, churches, and mosques. You don't have to be religious to be awed at the beauty and artistry of these places. Also want to see places of worship for the other religions such as Buddhism, Taoism and Hinduism.

Rocky is a raccoon, not a tanuki. A tanuki is a raccoon dog. Not a raccoon, but a type of canine-like animal with raccoon markings on its face. Raccoons are a separate animal.

I think the main problem is that a lot of people take these jokes too seriously. It's meant to be in good fun, not meant to offend. Even if it was meant to offend, (Which I'm sure it's not) getting offended wouldn't make the situation better. More often then not if some one is TRYING to offend you they won't stop just because you get mad. Humor isn't race, gender, or religion specific. It goes where the funnies are. I think that's something many people over look. :)
