The Poco F6 and F6 Pro are mid-range phones that offer very slim bezeled OLED screens, a Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 or 8 Gen 2 chip, in an aluminum framed package.
Great that you still decide to cover the midrangers. Doesn't have to be as in-depth as you do the flagships, as long as they're as detailed as this one, it's more than fine.🔥
Thank you for your always interesting works. In the philosophie, the poco F6 pro it reminds me their first phone, the poco F1. The previous F series were less in line with this idea of high-end value for money due to the specifications offered by the device. This Poco F6 Pro has everything a great one!
Thanks for this Ben, honest and straightforward approach. Specifically who are the phones for. But I might wait for something else or just go for vivo x100, as a gift.
Ben thank you very much for the valuable content that you create! Really helpful for all of us! I was wondering if you have plans to review also the Vivo Pad3 Pro ! Shares the same processor as Vivo X100 and seems to be a flagship tablet. We are wondering about the capabilities and features of the tablet for smooth connection with Vivo X100 series phones and also capabilities for Video Editing, Photo editing and also Pencil painting/illustrations! Also curious about their camera capabilities specially the selfie for video calls.
saludos desde Colombia, gracias por la información rápida concreta y precisa. Greetings from Colombia, thanks for the quick, concrete and precise information.
Hello. With the regular Poco F6 I'm more interested if the nonstop focus hunting when recording a video (using the main camera) is still present or has been improved since? Are colours on the main and selfie camera show natural, true to life colours the way you see in real life? Is there still skin smoothing on the selfie camera? And are the front & rear cameras HDR been improved as well? I have the OnePlus 10T and not sure if I'll trade in or not.
I'm among those people who just can't spend that amount of money and man the price to performance ratio of these poco phones are so good. I have always preferred MIUI/HyperOS now, over other Chinese roms.
Poco F5 Pro was already killing it, no longer need to buy a Switch when you can Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, Arkham Asylum on your phone thanks to Yuzu as well as emulate your PS2 childhood thanks to AetherSX2. S24 Ultra is my daily driver but Poco F5 Pro is my daily gaming driver as I'm always on the go and laptop charging stations are scarce here in the Philippines especially when you're in the provinces. Now Poco F6 Pro's out with the SD 8 Gen 2, I'm optimistic with the midrange/flagship killer segment. Hopefully people realize that yes, branding is important but sometimes, hidden gems are a beaut.
Can you make a camera comparison between both versions of Pura 70 Ultra. Chinese and Global. p50 pro has differences in pictures taken and they're big. so please make that comparison
If you are like more than 50% of people who only use the msin camera these phones are great value. Especially the pro version with the brightness, ppi and whqd+ screen. That beats a lot of top phones for a great price. The only worry would be how long the battery takes to degrade, I could not see a claim on battery cycles to 80%
Ben I always enjoy your videos. You are a great guy and it shows. These 2 phones do have good CPU's, which is very welcome, because in general budget Android's have low spec CPU's that can barely beat a 690 or 778. Poco are the only ones to bring these to the market. However I think we will lose out on the cameras. After so many years budget and mid range phone's should have fantastic cameras but they don't As much as we geeks like to compare specs when it comes down to it and you're in a cafe with friends and the light is low, when you snap that photo and it comes out crap, you realise your phone is junk. Especially when your friend whips out his 3 year old iPhone and takes amazing photo. This literally happened to me recently and I decided right there and then my next phone is an iPhone. Specs be damned. Even when all I can afford is a used iPhone 12 it still crushes any other new budget or mid range android and won't let me down when it counts.
Dude I can see difference between 1440p and FHD+ on a 2k phone screen. Its all about paying attention not a super hawk eyes. I have xiaomi 13 pro and 1+ 9pro and 12 and I cant use FHD+ options bcoz of bad sharpness\clarity
Poco used to b sooooo gd in olden days...my poco X3 has 4k in ultrawide n its so good...the same thing being repeated n 8mp ultrawide, common this is 2024 not even a 2x lens? 😢
anyone coming from samsung one ui will not like the OS as the hyper OS is very lacking in lots of stuff eg not battery protection/ file manager is a messy & cluttered. poco f5 screen in its lowest dim resolution is still pretty bright / sound quality is not as good kinda of muffled. poco f series hardware is pretty good terms of processor being used but camera wise not great though. last but not least the greatest downside is its OS. phone updates is also very lacking
Overpriced phones. And nowadays, if you want a good camera department, you're forced to buy a flagship, which costs you over 1,000€/$. Not good at all. I still remember the year 2019. December 1st, Huawei P30 Pro bought at 549€. Now it's impossible to find a flagship, after 10 months from its release date, at around 600€.
Most cameras are great nowdays. The differerence is super small far less than reviewers make it out to be. Its up to you how good you are as a shuterbug.
I had Huawei P30 pro, had a long time to choose but ended up buying OnePlus 12 16gb ram/512gb for 680euros, 12gb ram/256gb space cost 590euros so really close to that price bracket :) camera is way better on Oneplus 12 charging, battery, performance it's all better on OP12 :)
Poco design so bad, the pro version looks exactly as the poco X6. Since the poco F2 pro the lineup ended up as a mess. Even now I bet the camera from the poco F2 pro is better than any newer model.
Poco F6 : SD 8s gen 3 Gorilla Glass Victus IP 64 90 watt charging Poco F6 pro : SD 8 gen 2 Gorilla Glass 5 Ip 54 120 watt charging 2mp macro camera I really don't get the purpose of the pro version 🤷
