I'm wondering, why are you removing most of the parts? Of course, maybe it's something I don't understand, but I took a look at my local parts store, and there's two types of screens, first is just the display itself, and second is the display along with the frame of the phone..

He totally wasted time by taking off the earphone module and the vibrator motor. These do not have to be taken off to remove the old screen. Also, I didn't know he was going to cheat and just buy a new touchscreen in a frame. It's not the same repair.
If you just need to replace the battery - You actually don't need to detouch the camera. it can be lifted ~1cm up with cable still attached allowing you access for de- and reattachment of MB bus and the battery itself.
@@DIYGeardo I think it still apllies. also another guide shows that the plastic cover around the camera is also detouchable without the need of decoupling the camera buses
@@baburik thanks for sharing your feedback.also this is with the frame replacement. So you need to remove the battery. There are always shortcut will appear.
Thanks for the video, I managed do it myself but only issue i have is proximity sensor. I fucked up the original one and aftermarket probably doesnt work or i placed wrong...
I managed to get it done by my own!! So proud. Only one issue: I'm experiencing troubles connecting to cellular data, the connection is very unstable and very low speed and sometimes don't detect the sim card. I already tried reboot, clean the sim card and configurate the apn. Any suggestion my friend??
@@DIYGeardo Hi ✌️Just replaced the screen with no frame. I carefully connected the antenna btw. The model is xiaomi poco x3 nfc. The situation is similar to being in a rural area, far away from 4g signals, sometimes connected to H+, others with symbol ® and ocassionally to 4g but with very low speed. I also put the sim card in the slot #2. Thanks in advance
Thanks for the video! Do I need to change or add new thermal paste? The smartphone seems to have heating issue and after 2 minutes playing music the sound turns off/on repeatedly (2 seconds on, 2 seconds off) while the player and the song still play (no pause). The issue appears also using external speaker through the jack.
I do not think, this is something to do with thermal paste.Poco Have some history with heating issues. Most of the time with the board.Don't you have warranty for this device?
@@DIYGeardo Yes but I think my warranty is gone when I removed those screws :-) Today I'll add some thermal paste, check every socket connection and test it again, I will let you know! Thanks!
@@DIYGeardo I had the warrany, but I broke the screen and the touchpad stopped working, so I replaced. Other two problems appear: the smartphone did not power up (from shutdown or reboot), the fingerprint does not work and all incoming and outgoing calls are being closed after 1 sec. BUT now I finally found that in the new frame was missing the light sensor... I detached the old one from the old frame and now (cross fingers) all works good. You can see it in 6:04: it is the little gold rectangle near the top of the assembly with frame
@@enricoatzeni6116 the missing light sensor is an important find. it needs to be moved across to the new frame. it also the proximity sensor, and out of adjustment causes major problems in a call. it goes to show these guys are just faking a repair by opening and closing the parts, and makes me suspicious that it will never work with the proximity sensor.
Theres a few steps missing. Theres a screw in the middle of the motherboard, you cant lift with out taking it off. At 5:49, on the top next to the camera, dont forget to move the light sensor.
I'm trying to replace my screen. As soon as I place battery back in, the power and volume buttons don't work. It works if i loosely connect it. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong when putting battery back in ?
Ur hella right...Lol damn, I wish I saw ur comment before I ended up having to double back a few times until I noticed the same discrepancies...oh well, lol... Much love and respect man
if you not a profesional always do repair with frame, otherwise you will waste your time and money. I personaly fixed many iphones but android phones screen replacement only is 50/50 for amateur.
Do you know where I can buy the screen with frame? On the jstech website linked in your description I can only buy the screen without frame. (The Poco x3 pro Black one)
Lcd screens are cheap on internet. The problem is when you get your phone repaired at any shop, they charge you 400% for the price. That's why everyone should learn this skill
Sir nag lcd replacement po ako sa x3nfc ko okay nmn yung LCD walng basag or anu. Ang problema ko is hard touch siya hndi siya responsive may chance ba na dmabuti pagkaka lagay ng lcd or mas malaki Chance na LCd yung prob?
This isnt an honest video, you havent broken the glue like we have to do, you can clearly see you have practiced this before. all your parts fall out, we have to pry them, that process is stressful. you also failed to mention the light sensor needs to be swapped 6:04. this is also the proximity sensor, not having this working properly has major consequences on call functionality! either the screen goes black during a call, or your ear can press buttons. I am suspicious that the replacement screen is not compatible with the sensor. also the thermal paste needs to be reapplied and is not provided with screen kits. I recommend you do not try this at home unless you are VERY sure it can be done. (I failed with the light sensor, not matter how I tried I could not get it adjusted to work)
@@DIYGeardo I see. Thanks for clearing this out! I'm not a pro by any means and I guessed it was a normal installation from the title. I see that I was wrong and didn't paid enough attention
