Calling in from Pokeno, NZ (pronounced Po-co-no). A town halfway between what you could have considered SVG's 2 home tracks, Hampton Downs, 10 miles south and Pukekohe Raceway Park (sadly decommissioned and now only a horse racing track) 7 miles north. I'd be happy with SVG getting a top 15 and ecstatic for a top 10. Hopefully AJ gets into top 10 in both races and Josh in the top 15 with SVG.
@@Monty-in-gumboots hey and good morning to you over there! Hope you are well! Are you enjoying SVG’s NASCAR run? I think AJ has a solid chance at a top 10 in xfinity in cup they are probably aiming for anywhere inside the top 20 but they will take all they can get!
@@KauligNation We're loving it mate! If Scott McLaughlin can improve on the ovals, so can SVG. Bit guttered about Chicago but onwards & upwards from here. Hoping he does well this weekend. Looking forward to seeing him out there & the rest of the team! Good Luck guys! Sending our Love & Support from Down Under cheeeeehooooooo!!!
I am going to predict AJ for a Top 3 in Xfinity. SVG never practices well as he’s learning a new track and by the time he gets into a groove the tyres are done. If he practices in the top 20 expect a decent qualifying and then I’d think a top 10 is possible. If not, he’ll qualify Top 30 and move into the Top 20 by stage 3. Cup I have no predictions. 8:29
It all depends on how bad the car is for SVG this weekend. He usually spends most of his time getting the car sorted in the early part of the race, and then moves forward in the latter part of the race.
It will be the same for him this weekend too. The question is how fast will he get it sorted. I don’t expect Kaulig to have a ton of speed which hampers you at this track. Hope I’m wrong
@@KauligNation it did but I’m giving him the benefit of doubt, Sam had numerous opportunities at Chicago to move SVG and he didn’t. He even had opportunities at Portland after SVG punted him. It’s frustrating because SVG had a tyre advantage on many in front of him in the Top 10. Opportunity missed.
ECR engines are good. Don’t get it wrong. But compared to the JGR engine and the Ford engine. It is just slightly behind. But a few horsepower at a track like Pocono really matters
SVG will be on a mission after being taken out, dont be surprised if he finishes top 5, if he beats AJ then there has to be serious questions asked about AJ.
AJ 3rd svg 10th josh 14th i think kaulig as a whole will have a good back half of the season. ps - how many playoff points would svg need to go through to the round of 8 if he doesnt win a race in the round of 12?
He will have a shot at the Roval for sure but AJ will be the favourite there. It’s all going to depend how many more bonus points he can put together between now and then. He will have to avoid any disasterous races and probably need at least a top 10 finish with a couple top 15s and that might be conservative
@@jbcomradEven if SVG wins at Watkins Glen it’s unlikely he’ll go into the playoff leading playoff points .The Top 10 on regular points are awarded playoff points. The like of #7, 21, 81 will leap frog I’m. It’ll still give him a decent buffer to help him get through the first round. After that it’s going to be tough…
It all depends on how well he runs in the first two races. But having to Roval in the round of 12 is really helpful. He has 17 playoff points now. If he can get to 30 I think he will all but lock himself into the round of 8
Shawn random question sort of aligned with funding, How is each weeks prize money distributed? As in breakdown. I’m led to believe 1st place takes home around 10%.
Deegan to invest in one half charter the drive to double zero in cup for five races in 2024 and the full Xfinity season sponsored by monster energy drinks as their primary switching a wrap flavors every race creating 100 constant collectibles diecast step up to the plate put your money where your mouth is?
Qualifying should tell us how down on Power the Kaulig cars are, hope they can draft the straights a lot! I think all Xfinity guys can finish inside 15, SVG and Dinger big chances top 10's.
SVG will be at a disadvantage with no right foot breaking here. I think SVG is a long shot for a top 10 this weekend. Hope he gets it. That would be great but a long shot. You’ll know by practice and how they unload how quick they are. When you start way behind the 8ball you don’t have much time to make up for it. Hopefully they unload decent but far too often it’s been the other way this year.
@@Gravy123-kp5ou I get that but this is different. There’s a learning curve here and with Pocono it’s not really about heavy breaking as much as it is technically knowing when you need and when you don’t. Would love to see him earn a top 10 tomorrow. I just wouldn’t bet on it.
@@KauligNation yeah I agree just saying he’s been swapping feet for awhile. It will be a learning curve as will Indy. He’s been dealing with 20 minute practice sessions all year which has been tremendously disadvantageous. That why I was excited about Iowa which had a 50 min due to the repave and then he put it in the wall after about, ironically twenty minutes.
Yeah it does only every NASCAR driver ever has said it. It drivers like a road course because no corner is the same and you have to attack them all differently…. But ok 👌
