Bertie's eyes look exactly like our Corgi puppies' when they want attention 😂 And I will certainly be purchasing the squishy bag pattern when you release it! 😍
I adore the shirt you are wearing(guessing you made) at the beginning of the video. It's just darling.💕 Love everything you make. 💕🧶😊ps. Your granny sunglass bag would also work great for a cell phone if you just add a thin handle for maybe a small crossover bag. It's so cute.
I love everything you do!!! You are a beautiful inspiration! I love crocheting and listening to your videos…have you thought about just having a crocheting time that we all can crochet with you?
You are so talented! Everything you touch is incredible. I still like swatch #4 but crafting is for personal joy. You will be knitting it and wearing it so you must do what brings joy to your ❤
I always love what you make. You should go with your heart, I think you will enjoy it more and wear it more. Love your needle cases they are perfect. Have fun on your holiday with your family. Happy stitching
I agree with you. When it comes to creative things for yourself I think the heart should win. If one gives you joy over the other when you look at it, maybe that is the right choice. Otherwise, why do we do this? ❤
I love both eyeglass cases and I really love the one you said is too big. Maybe just stick something else in it with your sunglasses like a bottle of glass cleaner for smudges. Lovely video❤️
Beautiful work as always ❤ A sewing tutorial for the cube bag and needle case would be amazing! I am just learning to sew and the cube bag looks like it could be beginner friendly...but its me so who knows 😂
As always a lovely podcast with fantastic makes - the glasses cases, the dress, the bags and the needle cases. You are just so talented Sandra. Thank you for sharing the mistakes and suggesting to write up the patterns, yes please! Can I be cheeky and please ask the colour name of the yarn on the 2nd and 3rd peg from top of 2nd row? I am looking for that colour and often on websites it's not too true. Only if you have a spare moment 😊. Wishing you a wonderful summer with your family. Take care and happy crafting.
You always share such lovely, joyful moments, but you’re also REAL and that makes your videos special. I mean, how many of us have “faffed” a project or agonized over a choice or reworked a completed project? Of course, there’s also your lovely home and adorable Bertie with his gentle snoring in the background. Have fun on your travels.😊
Aww thanks my lovely! You can’t beat a bit of general faffing around can you? Although I like it when it leads to somewhere good. Sometimes though it just feels like circling! 🤣❤️
I’d love the needle case as a pattern - so beautiful, as are all your projects. Thanks for all your hard and creative work plus the podcasts which are a delight.
Good morning Sandra thank you verry much for this pocket for glaces I am going to do one they are verry beautiful and it s a verry good Idea thaaaaaaaaaanks🖐️🖐️🖐️🌹🌹🌹👍👍👍
Hi Sandra. The Icelandic sweater is coming along so beautifully! If your weather is anything like ours in The Netherlands, you may need it when it is done. We have our woodstove on today. I don't mind as I am comfortable on the couch cross stitching and watching podcasts. Love the sunglasses cases. I just sketched out rectangle granny squares to use because I can't find a case for my fit over sunglasses. And I have that charm squares bag half done in my UFO stack from years so. Humm...I have no idea where all my UFOs are even. 😮 Have a wonderful summer vacation! You must be happy to have your daughter back home for a while. Happy crafting! 🧵🪡🧶
Hi! Oh yes it’s been absolutely the same here, really quite chilly some days so I think you are right, the jumper may be in use well before the ‘summer’ is done! Yes I wish (with retrospect) I’d have just used the granny squares straight on for the other glasses case. Much easier to control the size that way. Oh well, maybe next time! Yes it’s lovely to have her here again. Feels like home when she is back. ☺️❤️
Hi Sandra, Your knit needle cases are exactly what I need to make. Thanks for the inspiration. The storage cubes are great and I find it balm to my soul to know that somebody as clever as you can make mistakes too. Happy creating. Judy, Nelson Bay, Australia.
Aww thanks so much! Yeah I think we do all make mistakes and I know exactly what you mean, I feel the same when I’ve heard people say they mucked up. ☺️❤️
Loved everything you showed us and the beautiful colours. I make lace and your pouch would make a great bobbin holder with a pouch at the end to keep the thread being used so I’m looking forward to your pattern. I hope you’re having a lovely holiday. 😊
I have my original Stocky Sock Bag next to me now with a pair of socks on the go. I've made loads from your lovely pattern and would love to be able to make both the bag and the needle roll too. Gorgeous, gorgeous. xx
Ooh brilliant Sandra. I’d love a pattern for the needle cases. Your dress is really lovely. I’ve got the Montana pattern, I love making it up it comes together quite quickly. Xx
As a long-time sewist I really enjoyed your description of your process in making the tote bags and the dress. I love the little eyeglass cases. They would make wonderful gifts. I'm looking forward to seeing the next installment of the Icelandic sweater and your beautiful embroidery as well as the striped knit sweater. Go with your heart! 🥰 And by the way, your new hairstyle looks fantastic on you; very flattering and youthful.
Love the glasses case!! The fabric lining is definitely a great idea so little things can't sneak through the crochet and scratch the lenses while they are in a bag or something. I am an optometrist, so I have many pairs of glasses, but I never thought to crochet a case for them.
Thanks! Yes I was thinking of the lining stopping the glasses arms coming out but you make a very good point, I don’t want anything poking in either! ☺️❤️
Lovely episode again and the big eyes of your sweet dog make me melt! After your sewing case video I made myself one the same week. I absolutely love it. I ordered two boxes in different sizes. I’m not sure what I would use the small one for, but I’m considering giving it a makeover anyway because it’s so fun to do!
I love both the eyeglass cases. I will be copying the ideas. I always come off with more projects added to my already list. You do such beautiful work. But your to critical on yourself you need to ease up and not be so hard on yourself. Thanks for sharing. keep up the great work. I LOVE berty I have a tan dashchund. I use to have one just like Berty
It was lovely to see Bertie today and all you lovely makes. The Stylecraft colours used to make the glasses case look lovely together. Yes, I would appreciate a list of the colours, thank you. If it's too big, have you considered using it for your mobile phone instead? I have been wanting to make a phone case. You have given me an idea on using my 6x6" squares to make a bag with. I specfically liked how it looked when you folded over the edge. What a great gift! I have been making a black and white blanket using the Yarnsmiths Create in Aran. I don't like is as much as SSDK as It leaves a lot of fluff on my trousers and I am a little concerned I may be breathing this in when I work. However, I will give the 4ply a try. Give me a wave as you drive past Exeter on your way down to Cornwall and enjoy your summer break as a family.
Thank you so much! Great idea with the mobile phone. I normally just shove mine in a bag pocket these days but this would actually fit my phone perfectly. 👌. Interesting about the Aran weight in the Yarnsmiths. I didn’t notice that with the 4ply so I wonder why it’s different. 🤔 Maybe thicker yarn is looser spun and therefore more fluff? Also, made me laugh as Exeter is the real milestone. Like finally, we are at Exeter, getting there now! 🤣❤️
Another lovely podcast, I only make what makes me happy and brings me joy when making it - what is the pattern for the top you are wearing in the thumbnail, is there a video tutorial for the motif? Thank you 😊
I love the pouches! Would you consider making a similar pattern for crochet hooks and steels? 😊Also… hello from my sausage dogs: LuLu, Sophie, and our puppy Ginger! 🐾🐾🐾
A patchwork sleeping bag for "glamping" would be so pretty....Although the zip would be tricky, for me at least. (Do you ever watch Korean mini camper type channels like "Bongbong camping"? Her camping supplies are so pretty.)
Oh yes zips can be a struggle for sure! No, I’ve not watched much camping stuff at all really. I had a faze of being obsessed with making over caravans but as I don’t have one that didn’t last! 😂
@robincook4349 I love how they have little pouches for everything. It's so neat and "just-so." And cute little lamps and tiny cookers and rice pots etc. I love it! What channels are the ones you like?
Wow , i love what you make , its all so beautiful , so much talent ❤ and your adorable sweet dog is so cute 😍 i love your hair Cut , does the Cut has a name ? Thank you and enjoy the summer 👒🕶️🪡🧵🧶😎🌞🌸🌺
Thanks so much! No I don’t have a pattern for this one, I did start a tutorial but the footage got mangled and I didn’t have the heart to start all over again at the time. 🤦♀️❤️
I've come across you inspired by Emma top that you are wearing in the thumbnail. Have you ever done a tutorial on how you connected the bits? Looks like you made a bunch of the circles and then attached as you made the squares. Is that correct? I've wanted to make a shawl like this for quite a while.
Oh thanks so much! Yes I did start getting a tutorial together a while ago. Prepped all the samples, recorded the steps and so on but the footage was all ruined and I kind of lost heart after all the effort I’d put in! But yes you have the right idea, that’s how I did it. ☺️❤️
@@CherryHeart Thanks! If you ever wanted to do a very short tutorial of just a few linked pieces, I’d bet a lot of people would love it. It’s such a good starting point for a lot of different projects…I know I saw it back like 2 years ago and scrubbed through everything (blog+videos) to see if it was ever followed up. So, I was surprised to see you wearing the top LOL. Bummer on the lost footage.
I do weave, but only occasionally. I’ve got a 24” ridged heddle loom. I did have a brief go at spinning but am trying to resist taking it up properly! ☺️❤️
