RAINIE speaking from personal experience, having a dog as a single person is sooo much work and a big mental toll on making decisions alone in their health!! My partner and I adopted an 8 year old dog but my partner ended up passing away and the dog was my responsibility. I loved him dearly but towards the end it was so tough when my dog was diagnosed with cancer and I was left with the vet bills and difficult decisions on my own

Rainie if you have a power drill you can just use a bit to drill holes in the bottom of the bamboo cups. If you have someone to help you hold the cups you wouldn't even have to take the soil out.

We have completely different names for the types of basil in Thai, I believe the Thai basil aka holy basil is called "krapow" but the normal/sweet basil is known as "horapa"

I work retail and ngl I definitely give more positive energy to people who bounce it back to me. I think Megan was extra sweet because you guys returned her energy. Customers who give back any positivity are sometimes the only thing getting you through a shitty day.. and it makes up for the shitty customers too

hydroponic systems are so cool but if you wanna crank it up a level look into aquaponics! It's the same general idea but the "bread box" tank has a fish in it (if it's bread boxed sized you can have a beta fish in there)! And then the fish poos in the water which helps the plants grow and then the newly cleaned water trickles back down for the fish. I grow micro greens and lemon grass in mine and its such a fun time!

When I was single I raised three dogs 😅. I mean I'm in a relationship now and I still have all 3 of them but I still raise them by myself (we don't live together). If you want a pet but didn't have one as a child I would go with a cat. Depending on your lifestyle. The reason I say that is because, dogs NEED to be trained. Cats too but they are more independent than dogs. A lot of dogs get stressed and are little butt heads when not trained. And their size is a factor. If they don't listen can you carry them up the stairs, into your car etc. There are more factors to consider when having a dog.

"crazy we've never repeated at the starbucks" that's probably because of the starbucks partner program where partners will often swap around stores in their area so you help out at multiple locations! not everyone does it but it can be kinda fun (from a previous starbuks employee who actually really did enjoy their time working there)

Single woman with two dogs here. It is rewarding and I love them so much, but it is HARD. One of my dogs has developed separation anxiety so I'm spending thousands of dollars on a veterinary behavioral specialist. She's totally worth it and I would do anything for her, but when she's gone (hopefully many years from now) I don't know if I want to do it again.
