I wish I could control sleep better. With my current condition as a post menopausal woman nearing 50, I can schedule a 10 hr sleep plan and still get only 4 to 6 hrs. For example, Last night I got only 4 hrs of 1 hr increments. So frustrating.
I have never slept well in my life but I have eaten only plants since 1989. But if I have been awake a lot more than my friends my age then I have already lived the equivalent of like 90 years even though my chronological age is72.
So interesting! What type of o seed did they grind up for the study with pregnant women? Can people try this at home? Do you get some/any of the endothelial cell benefits from ground seeds vs the leaves? They’d be so much easier to backpack with than fresh greens!
my son is 17 years old is 7 hours of sleep enough for him and for any of us how long do you have to stay in bed for those 7 hours of sleep because I sometimes have a hard time falling a sleep so do I have to put hours onto those 7 hours to give myself time to fall a sleep??
Even children today have signs of artery disease. Fast foods and sugary drinks have long term consequences. There is an obesity epidemic today where over 60% of the population is overweight or obese. What is common today and "NORMAL" is not healthy. The average person today is not healthy and is taking medications. Heart attacks were once only common in people over 65. Today people in their 40 are having heart attacks. Add more plants and vegetables to your diet and less junk and overly processed foods
The more hair gel a nutrition RU-vidr uses inversely correlates to trustworthiness. This is based on anecdotal evidence of course, put it to the test for yourself.
I think its annoying, that sometimes the content repeats without really declaring it. It would be more awesome and less confusing if that would not be the case
You are alive while your friends are sleeping. You have longevity in awake years so even if you die you have to add in years of awake time. Relax, you’re doing better than the slobs snoozing their lives away. A lot of people who live to 100 are just really lazy.
My urologist, after my complaining that I can never sleep in the hospital, suggested sleeping pills, which I strongly refused. So he wrote a prescription for 3 drugs, one of which was zolpidem, but he lied about what it was and kept prescribing it every 3 months. After a year and a half I suddenly found out what it was and quit. By that time I was severely addicted and have suffered severe rebound insomnia ever since, now at 23 months, sleeping twice a month on average, and averaging 2 hours each time. I quit that doctor. He admitted what he did, but said it's the patient's job to be suspicious. He apologized to my wife but not to me. I love How Not To Die, by the way.
Hey! I'm not a lawyer but that sounds like medical malpractice to me. You may be entitled to compensation but in a lot of jurisdictions limitation periods are 2 years. If you are thinking about suing, you should speak to a lawyer ASAP
@@zelmoziggy It was a surprise to me. And when I said to him that I should have been suspicious, he agreed, like it's my fault for trusting doctors. And he has never denied what he did, and seems to think he has the right to pull such pranks. Also, he looked at my MRI Images and never mentioned that my carotid arteries were blocked. I had an MRI at another hospital, and they said I would die soon if they didn't operate.
Not stressed, not overweight, eat WFPB/vegan, and for the past three years, can only sleep in 3 hour blocks. Typical night: sleep 9pm - midnight, wide awake til 2 or 3am, sleep til 6 or 7am. During the awake time, I'll eat a banana, journal, read, listen to podcasts, occasionally work out. I don't stress over the segmented sleep; just accepted it and found things to fill the awake hours. When I do finally get up for good, I feel very rested and have a ton of energy to cook, do housework, run. Hopefully it's not hurting my body in the long term.
There are some reports that people have sleep apnea from dental work getting braces and having pre molars removed which change the jaw. There are people who are very slim who have sleep apnea from too large a tongue and a small airway. Lots of dental work from the change in diet over the last 50,000 years which has created problems for humans. Sure, any extra weight a person has if they have sleep apnea will make it worse but with evolution and change in diet and jaw shape, many slim and fit people do have sleep apnea.
