It sounds like the fiber is the key component. I'd like to see them conducting a study where they measure the levels of cadmium in omnivores with low fiber (south of 20g) and high fiber (north of 30 or 40g), compared to a vegetarian or vegan of the same amount.

Thanks Dr. Greger, for another good video. I am always glad to hear more science-based nutritional advice on how to get and stay healthy, and to reduce the risk of mortality. The stuff that I hear in the Woo community is practically aligned with belief in the four humors.

Does this mean that I can start eating dark chocolate again? 🙏🙏🙏

No,chocolate is a toxic food with very high level of nickel, cadmium lead and oxalates, you are naive if you think that the phytates or the fibers content will preserve you from the accumulation and the long half life of cadmium and lead.

You keep telling people to avoid meats. Exactly how do you expect people to get their protein? Sarcopenia is the death of a human being. Causes weakness, muscle loss, and rapid aging. You need a lot of bioavailable protein.I eat a good mix of both plant foods and meat.Fermented foods as well.

All of the blue groups eat little to no animal products at all... We literally have people living who are 100 and have never had animal products.
