You can use them simultaneously. I record both at the same time as well and get 2 separate audio tracks to work with.

That is 100% correct. That’s the case with all xlr/usb mics.

This mic doesn’t need phantom power. It could do damage over time if used and may not make much of a difference. This is one of the more quiet dynamic mics.

@@joshuagood4237 I’m dabbling with the Maono pd400x. This is a loud dynamic mic, though more expensive.

@@TekToyzGaming I was just wondering about the dynamic Microphones. isn't the sm7b a dynamic microphone? That is very quiet. I had to get a booster for that

@@joshuagood4237 yes the sm7b is dynamic. One of the more expensive ones. It doesn’t need phantom, but yea would need to get a gain booster for it. Means spending more.

The Elgato may have a slightly better sound over xlr. However its only an xlr and that's it. no bells and whistles. No shock mount. No usb. really depends if that's all you're going to us it for.

Any mic that is on a table that the keyboard is on is going to pick up some keyboard and table noise. Either one of these on a boom arm is the quietest way to go.

@@doa1_ i utilize the noise suppression filter built into OBS for the creation of my videos. If you use discord they have one built in as well.

lol wow a construction zone! yea obs does most of the magic needed to sound clear enough. Mic quality is a bonus. its def bang for buck.

@@TekToyzGaming yes, Construction... OBS and Nvida Studio do the job. Soon I will add Maono AME2 audio interface to add some effects and stuff 😁👌

@@panda909TV nice. Good budget mixer too. the quality will get better over xlr.

I believe if you apply the filters to the mixer in something like OBS it should work. However you can hear the filter applied if you’re listening to it via the monitoring over the mixer.

Thank you for the response. I have another question regarding the SC3 Mixer that you might be able to help me out with. I saw a couple videos on RU-vid to where you could use a splitter to connect the line in and line out together out of the mixer with a splitter and then plug into your phone (it was a different mixer than the SC3 in the videos) I purchased a 3.5mm splitter to connect my line in and line out into and then connected the single end of my splitter into my iPhone with a dongle but when I do that nothing from the mixer goes into my phone (XLR mic audio or SFX from the custom buttons). Is the line in port shutting down the line out port or is it because im using a double ended TRRS cord from the mixer into the splitter (its the cord from my Beats Studio Pro headphones) or is the SC3 not capable of doing this at all with a splitter? @@TekToyzGaming

@@TheRandallArgo good question here. I can’t say for sure if this will work with the sc3. Haven’t tried this one yet. It’s possible it may be getting cancelled out or it’s not possible on the device you’re trying it on. The sc3 may have the same results. I actually used an xlr provided to me by Fifine. Though I think any decent and fairly shielded xlr will work just fine.

@@GreenMachine_112 you’ll just need the standard size xlr. You don’t see mini xlr used much for mics, they’re mostly sees in lapel mics.

@@TekToyzGaming Thanks again. The point therfore is for the general users would it be worth adding a decent XLR cable + an audio interface for perhaps little benefit, as opposed to simply using USB connectivity...just my own opinion.

@@democafe4864 I think with the usb sounding so good you can do without the interface if not really needed. Also allows for ease of use as well.
