Crucible's a very powerful mechanic for SSF, and I think that might be why we *don't* see its target-farmable uniques much - after going to the effort to get one, you'd still have to slam it and hope for something good and relevant. Whereas you can pretty easily target-farm the nodes you need on a base and then craft something decent with all the essences you've accumulated.
Im on xbox and started my own Champ Vaal Ice Shot, level 92 and doing good! I got a good bow with the Ignite mod for Ice Shot and then I got lucky with a Redeemer Orb slam and hit 25% chance for onslaught on kill!
As a SSF player, one reason I haven't farmed an aegis yet is because making a single weapon for your build is very time consuming and ends up taking up most of your time if you want to go all in instead of settling with something decent. Trade players don't seem to realize how rare imprints are (I have every single bestiary node except the "The Hunt for" non Deep ones, and only seen 4 imprints despite filling my menagerie three times) which really hinders the crucible crafting process since you are constantly at risk of losing your rare nodes. Split beasts are surprising common but aren't as useful when trying to get that perfect tree. Despite playing for an unhealthy amount of hours a day, there are some nodes I've still only seen once on all the bows I've been checking, like the 2 of all charges node, or poison blast rain. Really doesn't help how the geode drop rate is somewhat uncommon, and certain ones you'd want to save for later just in case like add/remove unique trees. I made an RF character to more safely farm crucible but can't for the life of me find a single scepter with fire dot multi on it's tree... RNG just really messes with you when it comes to this league.
Yeah imprints aren't common. They appear to show up more in T1-4 than anything else according to some research some of the big time beast farmers have done.
in ssf you want to run t1-t4 maps. I did found 1 imprint 2 splits by running red missions, but then i took best scarabs i had (gilded) and did 3 hours of white missions and got like 5 imprints and 12 split beasts. Use scarab it give more red beasts. Somehow imprints are still rare if you pick only their family, you get 2 splits per 1 imprint still.
I have 2 aegis and 2 emperors dropped and 1 raspith. But can't use them i'm still on my leaguestart bow build, so can clear all content including ubers, ubers are slow and deadly tho. I may roll bosskiller totem build to speed up things to have a chance to get those uber flasks. I found 4 shields cause smart loot (tm), jokes aside I'm mfing, found 2 darkscorns, but ONLY 1 jewel in 2.4M kills. Jewels in ssf are so rare Most surprising in items to me was when I looked shavs usage 2 days ago, whopping FIVE people in whole league were using shavs in their builds. How much might have fallen.
Shav's is crazy. It's still seeing use in trade. Looking at level 95+ characters only, there's almost a thousand people (996) with Shav's equipped in SC leagues... and one of them is in SSF. All unique drop-based jewels are now tier 1 rarity.
@@sirgog sadly energy shield now is mostly used as EB (as GGG hates mana apparently), I like ES builds and low-life caster but spell suppression + grace + determ is staple trinity now.
ive tried vaal firestorm. the skill is honestly good but its sad that it doesnt synergize in any way with the regular firestorm. one is fire dot multi the other is a hit based spell =(. its a nice addition to righteous fire but a bit subpar compared to fire trap. and ignite firestorm just doesnt work
Does it synergize well with Atziri's Rule? That gives you an uber version of Flameblast that can ignite, and an uber version of Storm Call that can also ignite (I think!) if you get one with the Crucible node that lets Storm Call ignite with all damage.
@@ArawnOfAnnwn never tried atziri's rule, but if there is an ignite version it's always possible to add another fire dot on top of it with vaal firestorm. but to sacrify a 6th link for it? maybe in a triumvirat
With the relevant Blight Atlas nodes allocated it is quite easy to get 2 golden oils. You can just farm a bunch and then upgrade oils at the vendor. You can hope one drops (which happens) or you can use oil extractors in the anointed jewelry that also drops on each blight you do
I started with Vaal Absolution (the golden arse of Innocence is great.) then went explody totems Pathfinder because FOMO. Both great SSF builds nothing hard to get. That said, got a Diadem in the third Catarina, a Aul's uprising with Haste in the first Aul and a Ashes in the second Eater. Also dropped a random Aegis Aurora that I'm not using at the moment. Praise RNGesus. More relevant for everybody else: At the start, I concentrated the Atlas in Abyss for a good rolled Darkness Enthrone. Got a Shroud of the Lightless, multiple copies of the common uniques and more than a dozen lvl 86 Stigians surprisingly easily. It's probably a good strategy for early trade league.
