[POE 3.24] Mana Stacking - You might not know these! Mechanic/Interaction talk, not a build guide 

I thought it worked the other way, maybe there was something changed along the way that I didn't notice, gotta look at it again then

Yah he is THE mana stacking guy. Sadly his guide sounds kinda advance so new players will probably have a hard time following it. The saddest part for me personally is he will makes mjolner expensive early on :(

@@UncleJay69 Ya, I've been flip flopping between a corrupting fever champion or his mjolner build as my league start. I love mana stacking, though, so I might just do the mana stacking anyway and bite the bullet with the market cost of all the mana stacking gear... You're right, though, this league is going to be expensive for mana stackers

@@coolguy69verycool I played mana stacking once before with frost bomb awakened cascade back when it was very strong with pre nerf pledge of hand. Ngl really love the changes to archmage that ggg did here, much more manageable to build

@@coolguy69verycool my league start plan is a mjolner build thats not mana stacking, so at some point I would go for it anyway xD. I'm a sucker for new skills, so I need to get them out of the way first

Optimal for max dps should use any spell trigger manastorm, then recover the mana quickly with a flask or something, then cast arcane cloak, so u have both buffs to cast a big boy spell that snapshot both those added dmg, ideally a skill that does dmg in a long duration, which normally are brands and orbs. I think the whole reason ggg makes lots of duration skills "orbs" and prevent archmage from working with orbs is this. If you use arcane cloak itself to trigger manastorm i'm afraid it will not work well, since 1 effect might happen with the "removed" mana pool from the other, which isnt ideal You shouldnt need to use this sort of min max sequence in anything but heavy bossing I think

Arcane Cloak works first and lowers your mana, then manastorm uses the remaining 36% and gives you 50% of that as added maximum. This league, you might be able to use both, though. Link Automation support to triggering Arcane Cloak, and it won't cause Manastorm to activate. If you have enough mana recovery, you can time the manastorm halfway between arcane cloak's cooldown, and effectively have both buffs at full mana effectiveness.

@@DAR0k88 I mean theoredically it can be min max with self cast sequence. But my lazy ass if I ever play this kind of build will always find ways to automate as much as possible :)))

I'm having an idea of a "secret" afk mana tank build :))) so maybe thats not even that much of a joke. Will be quite expensive and need to test out, so later in the league

you've missed the whole point, I know it does not work with archmage the orb skills, but it still benefit from Manastorm shield, and arcane cloak gem
