For the People who want to farm Essences via the Boss node on the Atlas Tree, farm them in Volcano Map. The Boss is a Totem that cannot attack, so it doesn't matter how many Essences it has. :)
That essence blows is burst you out with totem or not. İf u have More then 10 essence in boss . U need to 1 shot him or u never kill him he wll just blow u with essence damages 😁
@@snokemere1056 depends on the build . İf u use mine for example hexblast only 1 way near To boss to volcano and all blood and ice things explode in small area kinda hard to Dodge and hit hard . But Example for dunes is large area for the Dodge the essence ice and blood explosion easy to kite .
"Mobs are way more dangerous dead than alive in this game" Proceeds to die to an on-death effect from a mob 2 sec later. Can't make this shit up, lmao.
Alva is no longer possible to put essences in, but honestly I think it added too much to the map time anyway for not much gain. The scarab price will adjust. All in all fun start, requires a not-terrible character and easy to liquidate in bulk (Wealthy exile has bulk selling now if you don't want to use TFT, like I mention in the video). Thanks for watching!
You're the only big youtuber I've seen doing this sort of series, so as a casual andy I just wanna say thanks man. My old strategy is kinda dead this league (destructive play invitation/fragment farming) so this helps heaps.
Dead? I farmed a Mageblood in like 15 hours doing Shaper Guardian rotations + Delirium. Unless you mean something else when you say invitation farming, like the City Square stuff.
@@kylebusc3624 Simulacrum was selling for half a div, and I was getting 100-150 splinters every map, and it didn't add much more time. So a full guardian set was a guaranteed: Simulacrum- 0.5D Half Maven- 0.5D Shaper fragment- 0.9D Plus all the other stuff Deli drops such as stacked decks, orbs and the occasional div.
This videos are helping a lot because with all the new changes, i'm very lost about things that are good to farm. A suggestion would be to like compare different scarab strategies too
with Crystal Resonance you can leave boss in cull range, do all essences then cull boss, totally bypassing the difficulty. Hardest part is not to blow the boss the fk up so maybe kill 1/2/3 essences before putting boss in culling range
@@StillWaterRD let say you run Strand map, go into the arena, attack the boss until 10% or so HP , go back and click all the essences and run back to boss Yes, takes some time but if you have Mageblood and shield charge that is like 10 seconds more but you have the boss at 1 attack
@@SakaiStevenstrand is a hilarious example because you're like doubling the time it takes to do the map doing that. some layouts there's way too much backtracking.
I love how this series is shining a light on how every farming strategy makes similar div/hour. People always end up mixing and matching and only make 5 div/hour and they get mad at group players like they are the reason they dont make more money. At 12-14 div an hour almost everything is obtainable. Sure you arent going to farm 22 mirrors in a week like big groups but you can still buy mageblood, progenesis, super strong Phys or Ele bow, just about anything you want tbh. 22 mirrors is overkill for literally anything outside of crafting mirror tier items.
FYI, TFT has a WTB Entire Tab chat where people will buy your entire essence tab. The prices in there tend to be basically the same as what you would get listing in the WTS chat but you save a lot of time by going directly to a buyer.
In terms of comparisons, this strat in T16 vs in yellow maps to see how different the rewards are (since it's much simpler), and also a comparison for how much extra % the boss node give vs corrupting.
At 7:10 the loot didnt disappear or got converted, you just got teleported to The Hallowed Husk (the unique mob) somehow (my guess is the red demon hand appearing inside the hexagon below you, which grabbed you resulting in the teleport). You can see the teleport happening on the minimap. You went from a certain corner of a terrain all the way away into an undiscovered area away from the terrain. That's why nothing dropped.
I've done this Strat all league and well your right here in this case if a mod is converted into a mob from the mechanic that has a conversion reward type on it, on certain maps I've noticed they wont drop the essence.
@@mathiaslind5266 ess scarab tree(no remnant of corruption nodes on ess, scarabs the +1 level of ess, calcification and 2x mirrored rare mobs, guaranteed alva from tree and took the boss node, i ran t6 promenade and t7 canion and courthouse, canion was the best cuz i could kite bosses away from ess next to them. Rare mobs on map and i ran them magic to make maps easier
Ive been doing essences for a couple days and they ALWAYS sell instantly at 100% price, no matter how big bulk is, if u have enough dmg this strat is chill af, not lots of clicking, 0 time soent on trade afterwards, you just buy scarabs and go.
Crystal prison memories are 50c each (10c per map, since this memory gives 5 maps instead of 4 in its full trail), and they essentially enable all of the old league mechanic notables. Has been really fun to still get to corrupt huge stacks of imprisoned rogue exiles with 6-8+ shrieking+deafening essences. Highly recommend for anyone reading who's disappointed that it got nerfed.
If you bulk sell on tft you add the big boys I.e deafening first and rest of the worth while stuff. The buyer will put in currency for the whole tab and then you add the rest in the second, third trade and so on. Most people trust in tft :)
@@scandalfop2093 This is generally true but don't put 100% of your value into a trade. If you have 150 divs and give someone 25 divs and they scam, it's not that big of a deal. If you have 150 divs and give them 145 divs for a trade and they scam, you're in for a world of hurt. Just keep it low vs your total capital and you're good in the extremely rare case that someone actually scams.
how strong of a character do you need to do this strat. Im nearing the middle area of explosive arrow builds and i dont think i can do this in t16 maps judging by how much damage you take in the clips you show
One thing to note here empy. You can also Convert all your bad essence into good essence using blue juice. youll usually double your value and make like an extra 15% or so. when i flipped about 60 div of essence i sold them for about 120 with an extra 18 div profit took about 45 min to do it. makes them much easier to sell yourself.
@@jordanmessec5332 i did bulk sell mine at about 20 for a div for chaos, inteligence, Crit chance, And Crit multi. price does fluctuate but on average there about 25 a div if your bulk is small your mileage may vary
I dont think it would be sane to ask this of you, but as the price of divine in chaos falls, I think chaos recipe is becoming extremely lucrative. it has three big requirements though. You need two quad tabs and the chaos recipe enhancer plug in. The initial filling of the first quad tab with armor is a slog, but after that you can just blast maps and only pick up jewelry. For atlas passives, I think you put the niko zoom nodes + rogue exiles. You just run through the maps as fast as you can picking up only jewelry and currency. A quad stash of jewellery i think is like 115 chaos sets, or roughly 2 divs and you can fill it REAL fast. the initial filling of quad stash with armors is slow, and the selling is tedious but i really think this could compete purely in div per hour compared to other strategies. it could be further enhanced with altars, back to basics, shrines, beasts, whatever you want. Im going to try a back to basics + chaos recipe tree tonight and see how fast I can blast through 20 white maps. unlike all the other strategies though, this one is only lucrative while the price of chaos is strong.
Hey Empy can this be done with low tier maps? I've always run essences in white maps because the monster level doesn't affect what essences spawn. Is there any reason this strat has to be done in red maps?
Do you have a PoB or guide for this character? I'm new started in tota2 and I'm still struggling coming up with builds myself. I wanna make a STRstacker wand wielding pathfinder
I been trading essences as main currency strat for years. Nobody goes to the WTS essences tab to buy essences (or at least super rare to get messaged). The most realistic pricing is the WTB entire stash tab tab and u contact them to sell them or u wait far too long.
What? doing that for a couple leagues now as starter currency and if i post in wts essences i get spammed or it takes like 1min. It always depends how many you sell...if you try and sell like 5d worth of essences there no one will message you ofc farm for a day or two so you have like anywhere from 50-100d worth and then post
Yeah, no idea what you're talking about tbh. I farmed essences like 3 leagues straight (not this league) and if you put them up for a reasonable price it'll sell instantly in Wts essence tab.
@@scandalfop2093 i always scroll a few pages and go 5% cheaper but get bored after 15 mins of waiting and posting a few times, i would rather get back to farming. I always trade 10 to 20d ish. Maybe it's always been too low stock.
the interesting fact - you can transform all rare monsters in june reaserch into the essence mosnters and they will be locked,so you can fast farm them without breaking the research.
Hey Empy, Ive been running containment scarabs with manifested wealth. 3d scarab but getting upwards of 500-600c per map running this, not even counting Exalts, scarabs, maps or rare drops. You should try it out.
The Boss Essence strat prefers the Deafening on the boss at the end. If you have enough essences in the map all of your essences from the boss will be deafening.
i think u're underestimating the boss essence node, it almost doubles your profit per map plus u can use another 8 rare scarab for 8 extra essences per map, u can just run t6 prominade for good layout and boss at the end or run volcano cause boss doesnt hit you so its free, plus t6 are way easier to do.
@@thefool7256 u're already getting 1 deafening every essence anyways what do u need to upgrade for? u're farming like 30 ish essence mobs with deafening per map + around same amount from boss
@@KingOfHell94 seems like corrupting and getting a corrupted essence is much more worth than a random 20 essences you killed. just getting one of those essences is on average 20c worth and you are probably getting multiple per map. I dont know which is better but thats how I see it.
@@yrudonking no its not, it takes more time (you need to look for meds essence and click them). I was running volcano with boss node making 20d+ from essences only in profit. With boss node u drop 50-60 defeanings per map with double adversaries scarab.
@@szn7548 I actually have a silver supporter closed beta POE account. I used to play on PC. Unfortunately as a working husband and father, console is just way more convenient for me. Thanks for the tip 👍
Running maps with the Crystal Res. node, that have 3 bosses (Crystal Ore, Courtyard) and rolling the mod "Area contains two Unique Bosses", so its doubling bosses (6 bosses). The whole screen is in Essences =) The biggest juice is when you have 2 mods "more Rare monsters and two Bosses"
2:37 Does anyone know what is meant by rerolling seven and a half times to get the extra rare monster mod? I tried it a few times and it never worked, what am I missing?
I think selling in bulk is only for no lifers tbh lol. I personnally always sell things like essences or fossils per type of because i'm not losing any farming type since i just always do that while working on my PhD or smth
Should higher investment (and thus higher difficulty) not result in higher profits? It's not that you don't profit if you don't use scarabs, is it? And it's not even a bad thing that profits increase more quickly than investment, because that incentivizes both, engaging with the economy and building a strong character.
@@ArnoldsKtm I understand what you mean, I just think you're wrong. You don't need any investment. Just take the maps you drop and a tree specced for essence and you will make currency. Maybe it's not as profitable as you'd like, but it *is* profitable.
@@cykablyat6348 It doesn't matter what you're "better off" with. It matters that you can do pretty much whatever you want and profit from it. Contrary to popular belief, PoE is not a competition. You don't need the best div/h strat. You can just play the game, have fun, and still make currency.
