fix my build so i can get 500k tool tip dps. I use delirum +beyond+ritual. So monsters gets packed. I kill slow. Need to be faster. Jupiterrules1 is my pob
Thank you for focusing on beginner friendly content this season. You mentioned it in another video that it was something you changed for 3.24 and this is the furthest I've progressed while learning a lot of new concepts for next time.
A lot of people follow pohx's actual league character before knowing about gear progression. They will see him go from a 6L chest (that could take a slower player a week to obtain) straight into a 5L cloak of flame along with other gear shifts. then see his character and go oh shit he changed his chest I need that instead.
Thanks, PhoxKappa. You have the best, clearest and most presentable videos on POE on youtube. Incredible work, for all levels of play. I also enjoy your calm voice with great dictation. Keep up the good work! You have my sub!
I'm not even playing RF (yet haha), its my 1st real league, and stumbling across your content has been so massively helpful because you just give so much useful info. Especially since I'm committed to a Melee Build. As a HCSSF player too, learning all these little bits and pieces has been huge in me being able to wrap my head around things slowly but surely. Also I know, new player + HCSSF + melee is not the most optimal new player experience, but I've been having a blast haha
Thanks for this. First time running RF and with your guides I managed to farm a mageblood last night. All of these explanations about the different mechanics really help me understand how the build works.
I'm technically new to PoE, post story campaign at least, as I only played the game during Delirium (75 Ranger), Harvest (65 Fire dmg Witch) and Heist (65 Necromancer Witch) League but only even attempted maps on my ranger and got my ass kicked on a good amount of them because the game is so drastically different than Diablo, it was rough and I got sick of getting one shot. there is just SOO much to keep track of in this game... I decided to give this League a try as its been many years since I've played and am now lvl 64 Templar running firestorm but I would like to switch to righteous fire soon. I can't even thank you enough for this information as it has already helped me a ton in my current run and I am hoping to actually fully experience the endgame for the first time thanks to you combined with my greater knowledge of build crafting from other similar games that are more noob friendly like Diablo.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video, at 93 I still feel pretty squishy and die a lot. One thing I don't do is automate my flasks so I'm going to get to work on that ASAP. Thanks again for the guides!
This is amazing. Just yesterday I was playing some juiced T16 maps and thinking that I've started feeling squishy and wondering what I've done wrong. My deaths have climbed above 100! And then Pohx comes in with some defensive tips. What a great guy -- thank you sir! Maybe there's still hope for me yet.. I've been stuck at level 95 for a week!
Going well for me. 88 all res, 60 chaos. Went with Dawnbreaker, because it just sat there. Taste of hate 14%, Lightning Coil (don't hurt me please) and an (imho) amazing helmet. 5% phys taken as cold and 6% phys taken as fire. Got Vitality level 21 on life, to get a point. +1 AOE gem gloves, have to get a stick to swing to get my purity of fire to 23 somehow. The fun part about this is: You explain everything great, but I have to always see what fits. The puzzle is fun :) Thanks man!
The last two leagues I have been taking Wellspring of Creation on the Atlas tree. Monsters deal 25% less damage and monsters have 50% more life. More life bigger pops with Hinekora, Death's Fury. I also try to roll every map with more life on monsters. Regularly I have had red map bosses insta pop when the adds die near them. Aside from Niko's Packed With Energy, Wellspring is the only Atlas node which grants more damage.
As a complete noob after 500hrs of playtime and countless characters, (guideless, glutton for punishment i know), RF was one of the scariest yet most intriguing skills i couldnt figure out. This dude changed that, running the RF Jugg and focusing on regen/life/resist's.... wowwwww this is powerful 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for great video. In POE, literally the DEVIL is in the details !! lolol Your knowledge shows why you can do things us newbs can never do ! Plus higher level crafting. Being honest !
I actually gave up on RF chief, I have done 4 RFs league starter over the years and this one was probably the one I died the most by a long shot. I miss inquisitor :(
ye, same the nerf to the already Weak rf was a headshot. Dying all the time due to the insane forced mods on maps. Lacking damage due to nerf. Thanks but no thanks. And before people say, i am tanky as fck with my RF, even tanking shaper slams etc.
My approach to this has been to slow down and progress map tiers only when I feel confident that I can handle the one I’m already in. While I’m doing this, I’m building currency, which I then use to improve my gear before I go onto each new set of map tiers.
@@tomchambers6308 ye but the problem is that you dont need much currency to clear tier 16 but you need a hell lot to push further. talking about like 20 div upgrades.
@@vhbcccuhvv8534 cheiftain has always been tankier than the other versions inquis was in no universe tankier than the cheiftain version is now your actually insane
Thanks for this! First time RFer ... this will help immediately, and lots of it is general POE knowledge that I've never run across before (Valako Tatoo - wut?)
i honestly cant thank you enough. I was literally just thinking my RF build felt squishy and its because i transitioned straight into your adorned setup without understanding how it worked (I found an early mageblood before i even made it to maps and sold it for enough currency for a defiance and a full set of clusters). And was just randomly juicing map mods then getting blown up out of nowhere rightfully so. I removed a couple nodes and picked back up sanctum of thought and the Phys to chaos conversion along with a few shock tatoos.
well that didnt happen did it because mageblood cant even drop before 75+ areas, idk why people like you lie, like nobody is even responding to you so what clout are you getting
That's what I was getting at :P I mean there is the potential of a nameless seer pre-maps somehow including it but I would very seriously doubt that. If anything they most likely purchased said mageblood via RMT if it even existed at all.
@@1jackct People like you really need to re-evaluate your priorities in life and rather then jumping on someone for a mistake maybe go touch grass? The early mageblood was real, i didnt think it came from maps but if it doesnt drop anywhere else, then it dropped in a map, kinda simple as that. I sold it on april first for 170 div and geared out my character from it. I had to send a pic to my friend asking if it was a random GGG joke droping gear like that on april fools day Rofl.
Poxh: Not sure if you mentioned it, but getting phys as fire can be easy using timeless jewels... I had to give up one jewel socket and got 15% phys as fire (and a bunch of strenght) from mine for cheap...
Outdated information, example, Call to Arms has been renamed to Autoexertion. It now reserves 15% Mana per Supported Warcry to cause those Warcries to be repeatedly triggered. Autoexertion Support can now support multiple Warcries, and no longer causes Warcries to share Cooldowns. It now grants Supported Skills 0-19% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate (previously 30-11% reduced Cooldown Recovery Rate), and now has "Supported Warcries do not grant Buffs or Charges to you or Allies."
Pretty sure guard part could be it's own video with potential setups, gem levels, triggers etc. and different variations as needs tend to be pretty different.
I made a lightning tendrils elementalist build fully blind this league as a newish player , made it to tier 14 maps but no matter what I did I couldnt fix the defenses past that without having a complete makeover. Ended up with like an energy shield regen armor hybrid with 75 res only and 2k-4k HP+ES with 650 energy shield regen. depending on what version of the build... bad. I had to focus more on max res, armor nodes (had 0) spell suppression and actually get a shield on offhand and run that damage reduction guard skill you showed (thought they were all hp shields) I actually got a 5 link cloak of flame and a helm for phys damage taken as fire 50% but didnt work because of all the factors. I know, it's fixable if I corrected all the defensive layers but it's too much of a hassle at this point after wasting so much currency, so I will restart with RF chieftain. I have a feel for the difficulty of the late game maps now though so I know what to expect and your guides are great to help alongside what modifier to focus on what gear etc!
I've had good luck with automation over cwdt. With increased duration you can time when molten shell or steelskin is up and then go in for damage and dip out when they go down
Thank you so much. I took the immortal call setup and it helped a ton. Yet my problem (even before) was more the lack of damage when you progress through the content. I had a really hard time killing maven e.g. would you consider the same type of video for scaling damage instead of defenses? Keep up the great content and thank you for this build :)
wanted to add that getting life regen on boots and gloves was very big for me. At that point i was able to farm for defiance of destiny pretty comfy, and now i'm VERY tanky
I play with console and to hit with fire trap is very clunky. I can control direction but not the throwing distance. What would be the second best skill for single target?
that was excellent, the best anti-squishy tutorial I have seen so far! @Pohx: Could you make another survival tutorial adressing the other defense layers like evasion, ES, etc.? ty
Great video. I started RF this leave for the first time. I feel like I’m tanky enough but my RF damage is lacking so I end up dying because the mobs take too long to kill. Also, with the need to constantly move, I struggle to kill rare. When I stop to throw fire traps at them, I get one shot. Can you do another vid like this but how to scale RF damage higher now that it changed last league and also go over the best ways to add more RF damage?
@@callmeconvay7977in the case of this build this is correct. If you somehow get 100% of physical to elemental then you won't even need armour. But for new players, it is important to note that not every build wants to turn physical damage to an element. It it a strong defensive option but it depends on the rest of your setup.
a major complaint about this league i keep seeing is people cant run any map/campaign without getting juiced mods they dont want with league mechanic. it's one thing to opt into an extra challenge, completely different to have it forced on you when you're not ready. it's a good patch, but a bad league. im sitting around 35% chaos rez and feel okay, have a 4L cloak and the pheonix shield. those 2 items really let the build shine for quite a while.
I just haven't felt like crafting gear. Most of the times i haven't felt squishy other than a couple touched mods or walking into a t17. Got the Cloak and flask and just leaving it
Hey Pohx, First and foremost - huge fan of the build so far! I am returning to the game after getting the ARPG itch not-scratched from D4. This is my first league since Ritual, and I used to play Enki's builds - yours has been a true successor in my eyes, and the amount of work and time you put in are legendary my friend. I have a question surrounding the gem setup ~ 17:00 mins. I just recently got my defiance of destiny amulet, but my health pool is not near yours yet (~5,5000-6000). Per your POB - I am running Infernal Cry, Lifetap, and Punishment with Call to Arms to automate the Infernal Cry. I am hoping to add a little bit of mitigation, as I will on occasion get overwhelmed in the juiced t16 Harby/Beyond maps structured in your previous farming videos. I was wondering how you would structure this swap to Infernal Cry/Enduring Cry? Should I drop Punishment? I am running Vitality and Arrogance in my weapon, should I put Immortal Call instead of vitality? Appreciate any insight you can provide!
Updated - skill issue - it's been so long I forgot i needed to upgrade my pantheon stuff - i am no longer getting stunned/stuck and zooming through maps no deaths.
This league is crazy Tiny white mobs one shot u And there is that stupid soul eater mob if u are cursed it also has desecrated ground modifier which heal itself even if u take ryslatha pantheon which reduce mob regen by 50% It will always be on full health very fast can’t outrun it most of the time
I would love a bit more SSF advice, I have 2 voidstones, but I can't imagine having enough damage or defence to get the other 2. I have cloak of flame, rise of the phoenix, prolif gloves, not found elder helm yet after hundreds of maps. Just feel a bit stuck.
Good Video Pohx I know u dont like to do Expensive Pob's but for example, i played RF at my first playtrough in 3.19 and learned The game with it thanks to you! But know im sitting on alot of Currency beacuse i learned how to get there and really want a setup like yours but dont want to mess up, im surely not the only one in this kinda Situation, can u please atleast post your POB or something? :)
First of - thank you SO MUCH for your tips and insights! When it comes to Immortal Call with the trigger support - I can't really tell if IC gets triggered. :-/ I don't see anything changing in my stat window. I'm aware of the max. level restrictions mentioned by the support trigger gem and these are ok, I checked them... Can I see the proc of IC on the down right side of my skill tab? Or on the upper left?
Build lost 99% survivability with Defiance of Destiny drop rate nerf. I think with the price of Defiance being so high it makes this build a 1 star from the 5 star it has last league. For this price you can make an insane t17 mapper
@PohxKappa not in console it is not under 100d on average XD so for this budget you can build a near Immortal uber farmer. I'm sure you had an easy time without Defiance and Approach which in console those two guarantees over 100d
Automation turns it on arbitrarily, so it won't always be useful (and it's a bitch to have running in HO). CWDT always applies the guard skill as you're taking damage.
@@callmeconvay7977 you are right but automation give also cooldown recovery, in hideout you can always turn it off also molten shell would be lvl 20 so it will give more overall from skill itself, but still im not sure it is really better just typing my thoughts
