For those of you who have been commenting about perceived equivocations to actual crimes - It’s analogous , not literal. “The trial of tft” is a thematic motif, not a call to action. People have a hard time grasping in game specifics at times especially if it’s outside their wheelhouse- the analogous terminology is used to provide a logical framework for people to digest the argument or substance of the video in a way that might make more sense to them. I thought this was obvious but in case it was not- I am not suggesting we imprison Jenebu , nor am I suggesting that RMTing is the same as murder. Please exercise some common sense. P.S. scarily appropriate RU-vid short that was just recommended to me that succinctly explains how TFT has been able to operate ru-vid.comM8j1xWbyfjI?si=-MQnOrnwH8F4Ov66 PPS. The first 50 whining comments about my mic were sufficient , thank you. I will fix it for future videos
@@bartekowca666 I'd like to think that a lot of us are at least somewhat competent. The POE subreddit however....not so much. Then again, that short is pretty spot on and applies to so many things in life
Tried posting this video to Reddit and it instantly got taken down. Same thing when you create anything with Belton in the title. This should be further evidence that the Reddit mod team tries actively to be biased in this thing.
One of the mods there was also a mod for TFT. So that's no surprise. Edit: The reddit mod has just "resigned" from the POE reddit. Obviously he was told to step down by the others after continuously getting them caught up in his shit and abusing his power to cover for TFT.
It's on the front page now, titled "New Vid (in description) discussing the Mirror Items / RMT of TFT". jwfiredragon, livejamie, and many other mods are gone.
It should be pointed out that it was taken down temporarily by the automoderator, due a flood of fake reports, but an actual mod has since restored it. I suppose the mods should be criticized for misconfiguring their automod-tool, but considering that the real problematic TFT spy mod "was resigned" recently, I don't think this should be referred to as "active bias" anymore.
Craziest thing I experienced with them is I got banned from the discord after being there since there inception simply for joining your discord. I asked on the tft discord if anyone was einhar memory rotation and got no response in an hour and decided to join your discord to ask and got banned from tft the next day. I never had a single infraction or negative post sent about me. I was an exalted provider since harvest league meaning I had over 200+ services. I tried to appeal it and got no reply lmao. Truly clown shows 🤡
This was also my experience. I heard people getting banned just for being associated with Belton, at first I was like eh, they probably did something, or said something toxic somewhere and didn't think much of it. Figured as long as i was a good boy and just stuck to what i was there for (to learn crafting) i would be safe, np. I typed once in belton's discord and TFT shadow banned me. I didn't even get a notification, the TFT server was just gone from my list. trying to rejoin just gives me an error. Didnt try any further attempts because i figured if that was the kind of people TFT was being run by then Its probably not worth pursuing.
Bro that's what you get for interacting with someone they don't like. TFT mirroring IRL greed, jealousy and anger in a gamer Discord. I deleted my Discord and I had a high standing in TFT like you, but I didn't care. I'd rather do everything in-game, and I'll run my own Juns and will go for my own challenges(though buying challenges was really convenient.)
my man said on stream that he wouldn't make a video about it and spend next days to enjoy birthday and take some time off with family. Proceeds to not give a f and still upload a video. Gigachad
I've always known Belton was right, I've had run ins with both VMVarga (back when that was his name) and Belton and from all accounts Belton is just a genuine honest guy, and Varga is a power hungry asshole. I traded some big items with Belton back before he streamed, back when we were both in Lighty's guild and he didn't have the exalts at the time but he promised to pay me back, and like the man of his word he is, he did. I've never even exchanged words with the guy besides messaging in game, and he kept his word. My interactions with Varga however were not great, after coming back from a break from PoE were I didn't play for a league, some of my stuff on standard went legacy, I logged in only to be instantly whispered by Varga to buy a couple items I had listed from before I took said break, I simply explained that clearly the price isn't correct and I won't sell it for the listed price since it was 3 months old and now legacy, he proceeded to call me an idiot for not selling my items at the price I listed them at, and after calling him rude for making that remark, I alt tabbed to look at discord since I knew exactly what he was going to do, and in a massive twist in the plot he banned me from TFT (big surprise). I responded to him calling him a power tripping asshole and some other unsavory names, he ended up ignoring me in game so I can no longer message him, oh well really not a loss on my part, I barely used the discord anyway.
Much love dude. I hope more people see this, and are able to see how fucked up this is, even outside of a video game. I'll be keeping an eye out for your next video. Enjoy your break
Wow, man, the amount of research. This should be almost a Coffeezilla video, and I feel this is a first for video games. We have our first real in-game mafia, and thanks to your work it is for all to see! Take your time off man, you deserved it! It is up to us as the community and GGG to take a stand!
not even close to the first one. recently had the runescape drama with mod trident. the whole gamergate fiasco was far larger than this where games "journalists" were sleeping with publishers to in exchange play bat for them.
@@livingwild-vm1bi GGG is filled with evil geniuses. The whole concept of Path of Exile was to create a free to play video game while also using 3rd party rmt sites to enrich themselves. And it's not only GGG that does this, other gaming companies do the same. Kripparian and other content creators are also involved. There have been sooo many clues but people still can't solve 1+1...
It’s sometimes a bit hard to digest all of beltons output but I’ve always believed his side of things. Nice to see him get an opportunity to show the truth again. Hopefully it gives the community an insight into who Belton is and always has been.
Ya the mic quality and the constant noise really detracted from the message. That and possibly trying to take it a bit slower, coming from a fast talker. Luckily i saw you in another video, and it overshadowed this one. Hopefully you watch your own videos and adjust accordingly. You seem like someone it would be worth listening to.
forensic analysis and accounting in PoE..... this community never ceases to amaze me. its really sad that we have some super shady characters in positions of respect in the community when this is what we are capable of
4 Days later and I'm still waiting for their "long detailed post" on TFT, thought it was weird that they brought you up when drama started to happen. They knew shit was going down and they had to make themselves look as good as they could, classic deflection.
They posted a comment about later this week they will air everything out with their own detailed post. 12 hours ago ish they posted that Jenebu was stepping down and 6 other mods were. Basically bowing out because they got caught red handed. Looking forward to see what GGG does as well.@@lazakamikaza1359
I don’t want to seem like a lackey who is jumping on the hate bandwagon, but Belton you are an OG and your efforts are valued! Keep up the good work brother.
I just watched your video from 11 months ago on tft, funny how it's so relevant it might as well have come out last week and perfectly leads jnto this video.
Hey belton ive watched you for a while and im really happy that people are realizing less so how fucked up tft is. And moreso how honest and hardworking YOU are as a person. I have massive respect for you as a person and i hope you keep up the great work ❤
Time is now for community reps like Zizeren to ask tough questions to GGG and clean up trade league. It SUCKS that RMT means players are cut out of from hinekora locks last league, or good TWWT jewels this league
Yep, but no. "People" like Ziz or Steel won't cover this sht at least for few reasons: Im playing SSF means im in the house; Playing HC means im in the house. They don't give a single damn about RMT nor about TFT shills.
btw, don't let this put you off the game. This is an unfortunate rise of drama that keeps bubbling out of TFT, its a serious issue for high-end (read: top 0.01%) and as someone with 6,000hours in the game, I have never ran into these issues because honestly, I'm just not at their level.
@@clondike7same, which makes me feel like a bad person for using TFT to bulk sell essences and Aislings when I farm them. I figure it's the same as Big retail store "boycotts" for justice reasons, but it truly is a 0.1 percenter problem, and maybe GGG with the RMT and lack of official functionality. Definitely not a casual just play the game problem.
much love bro, sorry you had to deal with all this bs. i admire your hard work and perseverance in gathering and sharing all this data with the community. you are absolutely goat'd.
Hey, wanna say I was sceptical at first when I saw your videos as I wouldnt belive that guys that created massive portal like this would ever need to do shit like that. After this league and seeing how jenebu lost his shit about the russian dude free mirror bow I've become convinced that all you said was indeed true. I will never mirror items from them again. Thanks for the work Belton wish you luck.
lol @ the sacred life force story from a couple leagues ago. I remember selling mine at like 3 div and then holding on to ones I found after because the price was skyrocketing. Then the next day they were like 1 div as you said. Hilarious that Jenebu got owned so bad on that.
Since the game itself lacks a good trading mechanic, I wouldn't be surprised if somebody working for GGG is the head of TFT or somewhere around him under a different name trying to make up for that and because of that don't want to go around banning anyone/anything that has anything to do with TFT.
It feels like this whole thing is going to blow into GGG face at some point. It almost feels like there's somebody obfuscating actions on that side so no in game actions would be taken
yeah. puts on tinfoil hat* - it almost feels like ggg themselves are balls deep in this, too. Or at least some people there or its about them losing big money if they lose tft people or something
It hasn't so far, basic pattern recognition would tell you that if they haven't done anything about TFT in the past despite the evidence, they likely won't care/do anything now either.
I’m new to PoE this season and this is absolutely fascinating to me. I’ve only used TfT to get 2 voidstones because I’m a noob and somewhat slow to progress. But all this evidence is pretty damning to me. When people so ruthlessly attack their competition you have to ask why. Usually that why is money.
@@TheGroberUnfugthis is fantastic proof and I am convinced that the people running tft use rmt to fund their personal lives. Unless they all live in an apartment together living on welfare you cannot play this much and not end up homeless
@@serifcetinalp7176 Can't link sht on youtube, you have to find it yourself. Name of vid is "The TFT incident Ft Ruetoo" from channel "Conner Converse"
GGG has to take a stance on this short term. Not banning rmt is against everything PoE is supposed to stand for. Long term - GGG better have a solid fix for the trade situation in the works. There are ways, surely.
Never tried TFT as it looks complicated to me, also I don't want to be on Discord. Thanks for explaining this situation. All the best from a SSF player.
Man you're speaking up since ages much respect for that. But I've got a question. I saw that in some of your videos you dismiss trades if people are not fast enough to react. What if a player, who drops a super high value item like a mirror or a rly good TWWT but doesn't have a lot of experience in trading such high value items messages you about such an item? I don't have one, just curious :D
do people really think that the owners of TFT invest so much time in the game/discord and don't get a money return ? It's just life, people do things for money
Usually when people talk this fast, know what the fuck they are talking about. To whoever did all that research... holy shit. You guys are the FBI of PoE.
i recommend 1:57:34 on the vod, great entertainment i must say. the stained, fucked up sweatshirt and his gut gave me trailer park boys vibes. 10/10 - fuck tft
Once I realized TFT was a ton of elitist D-bags I stopped bothering. The only thing I miss is selling Aisling and buying challenges. Belton I want you to know, that to get a copy of Loath Thunder, I traded up to divines, bummed my friends and guildies for currency, sold a damn Demigods Sword that I never planned on selling just so I could snag Loath Thunder. Absolutely worth it, though it makes me not really want to play my other characters haha.
As someone brand new to PoE this league, I could see the issues TFT was causing without having any knowledge of the idea. Seeing people with 5-7k locks and listing them well above what most people are selling is no longer an ease of service trade or what not but a purposeful control of a player market.
Jenebu listed his locks at 420d as a flex/meme, not for fixing up prices, you could easily buy those much cheaper on trade. I do despise the guy for several reasons but this particular instance of him owning 90%+ of hinekora market had a different purpose than price manipulation, he simply gambled on locks growing in value in standard. Sure his organization’s insane buying power affected the prices but mere act of buying them out is not particularly reprehensible. And were I to hold that many, I would flex ‘em too. I would even say those were very cool and eventful to see.
Now is the time if ever to go hard exposing those rats. Watch them scurry and go damage control. Big creators will catch wind of this, and there will be redemption once it picks up.
Thanks for another informative video. I do hope GGG posts something but if not just keep collecting those receipts and help push to the community to alternate ways to trade. Also might be time to ask GGG general questions about rmt and such with trade during QnAs.
"Preponderance of evidence" is a term for civil court and trials It basically means 51% vs 49% and, in fact, tipping the scales in your favor over the opposing side . "Beyond a reasonable doubt" is the criminal court burden of proof which is pretty much and reasonable person would find someone GUILTY of something based on evidence presented.. You, my good Sir, definitely proved your case.
The circumstantial evidence from the forensic analysis is an interesting take, but all it really does is confirm what we already knew; SOMEONE in the process of setting upt he mirror store is likely engaging in RMT. Does that mean everyone involved is liable? That depends on GGG's stance; is it normal for them to ban everyone who interacts with them? Take, for example, any large guild that has a dedicated crafter. If it turns out they had ever engaged in RMT, does that mean the whole guild (or at least anyone who interacts with the crafter) gets banned? In some games that's the case, but I don't think I've heard of such incidents in PoE, at least not on a large enough scale that it garners attention. If a streamer is given an item by a fan, and the fan engaged in RMT, should the streamer be banned? What if it's family members playing together, one member of the family engages in RMT but the rest are legitimate; should the whole family be banned? TFT is certainly shady. And we can very reasonably assume that the people in charge know that RMT is going on. But it appears from a 3rd person perspective that GGG only bans the account that engages in it directly, which is why they bother to use burner accounts. Network graphs only show that they are connected to someone who RMTs regularly. It doesn't show anything beyond that. I'm regularly seeing the analogy of comparing it to actual, western court systems and crimes. But that's more fitting than people might realize; in most western countries we have the notion that "it is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer". That's how come even when large organizations are brought down for criminal activity, it's only the people who can directly be linked that are found guilty, and a lot of almost certainly guilty people end up being let off. The same concept applies here; unless GGG is willing to take a more prolific and aggressive stance of "ban anybody connected to an RMTer", the connection graph really doesn't serve much use other than to confirm what we already know.
I doubt they have anything going in any official capacity, they just can't be arsed. It's possible one employee is colluding, this happened with MMO games before. But it's all pointless speculation.
@@Psycorde Maybe I'm a bit on the paranoid side, but lets say some employee isn't being paid very well? How hard would it be for that employee (or group of employees) to at the very least communicate with tft? If not actively facilitate their actions? We know there is real world money involved, and not insubstantial either. Any time that happens there is possibility of theft/corruption. It could be something as simple as manipulating a well known crafters "rng" on the fly, and who would even know? as long as the results fell within parameters of possibility, it would give an edge to tft ... right? This is just spitballing here, I'm not saying any of this stuff does happen, just that it could. Imagine the "allie yoink" except an employee is doing it. Who knows? People are vindictive and petty.
The API, same one PoE ninja and all 3rd party sites use. GGG makes it public. For further detail past that would need to join the discord and ask the guys who collected it- I’m not very tech proficient
I just want to create mirror tier items just to annoy bad apples. Just. Put some more just into that sentence. Alas, my items are crap and I am a clown. Annoy them on my behalf, brother.
The truth ALWAYS comes out. So glad it did for you and for all my good man. Proverbs 11:5 - The righteousness of the blameless makes their paths straight, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.
I've been playing for 10 years and am now realizing how much of a pleb i am lol. I thought i was hot shit this league making 126 divs in like 4 days of farming. I mean i always knew of people that make currency like this but it's just crazy to see it all laid out like this
