They are really a fantastic group. A lot of good music coming out of them. A interesting and nice video too. Very nice pick. Great show too. Side note I don’t know why this didn’t show up till I got to work this morning. Fortunately I always get here early so I can watch while getting things ready. My sinus surgery was not as bad as I thought it would be but don’t want to do it again. I hope you have a great day. Take care. 🙏🙏🙏
This song along with Moonlight kissed and the Beautiful ones is on my top lists of their songs I want to hear live. There is a video of a live performance from Moscow 2013 and it is so raw and amazing, love it. Their lyrics have a lot to unpack, it is one of the things I love about their songs - you are sure to discover something deeper every time you listen to them. Fun fact: this video was shot in winter in Estonia and it was something like -25 C, so they made like 15 seconds of recording, stopped, covered them in jackets and blankets and then 15 more seconds.
The big difference between Nightwish and Poets lyrics is that Tuomas who writes Nightwish’s epic songs isn’t a native speaker of English, and therefore doesn’t have the command of the language that Marko (who was raised bilingually and is a native speaker of both English and Finnish) has. Tuomas uses inspiration he gets from books he’s read a lot to write his lyrics. Marko’s poetry is genuinely his own creation, that’s what I love and appreciate so much. 🫶🏼 I cannot think of any other band, native speakers or not whose lyrics are so poetic and beautiful throughout, without exception. Thank you for your wonderful reaction, I hadn’t seen the video in 11 years and almost forgot how sweet and beautiful it is. 🙏
@@volmie it is an amazing song and a clever one too. It is one of the most beautiful image I have come across - 'you're the heart of my temple of thought'. It is also so wonderful performed live, got to hear it this year in concert.
Poets lyrics Always hit hard. I think “Hated it!” was from In Living Color, their spoof on movie reviewer tv show. Shout out to Jim - Nice work on the shakers! Recover quickly. @jameshaberkorn8728
