One last thing, get some substrate that is flat and solid for your beardy to walk on, helps keep their nails filed if they have something hard to run on. What I have is slate and laminste cut to the size of the tank. Covers 1/2 the tank, sand covers the other half.
***** I have my beardie on tile with pet safe silicone with sand in the silicone (to add a little more texture). It helps to trim their nails a little and can't get impacted because the sand is stuck to the silicone (washed the tiles afterwords several times to make sure no loose sand). Been working great for awhile. :)
***** He might want to mate (lol). Maybe he is going through an aggressive phase, not for sure since mine only puffed at me when he went outside (trying to get him used to being outside). Usually pet his head or his "fat pads" (the oval shape pads on their heads), it usually calms mine down. Most of the time, he slowly closes his eyes when I do that; I think it means they trust you and like that particular petting. When I stop petting, he looks at me like "Why did you stop?" Then pet him again. XD
Carpet is the worst possible thing you can get for your Bearded Dragon, one of mine came from a tank that had carpet that molded and colored his skin green. Its not natural for them same with calcium sand, sure i guess its a solution to impaction but it creates other problems, like too much calcium which causes hard urate as well it dyes their scales... Just because pet stores sell those products doesn't mean its the best thing for them. As for filing a Bearded dragons nails it doesn't flatten them just takes away the severe point, they also still have nails and you have to clip their nails every so often anyways. Maybe you should do some research on the subject before commenting.
Ugh this video just pisses me off!!! Improper lighting and bulbs!!! The light is too close, get yourself a lightstand and a temp monitor!! Basking bulb only on one side of the tank! The other side is supposdd to be the cool side. Their are whats called Ionized bulbs, which give bearded dragons UVB without the special UVB Bulbs and a basking bulb in one.
That tank is far too small, the cat is causing him stress. You need some logs for him to bask on and a hiding space so he has somewhere cool to retreat too if he gets too warm. Put a mesh on the top of the tank and train your dam cat. It only takes once for your cat to decide to claw at your beardy and damage an eye or a leg. Bearded Dragons will stiffen up and just lay there moreso then attack to defend themselves, you need to create a stress free environment, your little buddy deserves that :(
Dude you do everythin wrong first the enclosure is to small , second that red Light is bad for your dragon and the most Important where is the uvb this is not good :((
