Mam I have a doubt mam please clear mam 12:22 instead of putting char*name[] we can directly put char name[4]={"amit",...."xyz"} and print using for loop. why we need to use * in this program mam. 14:39 *(*a+i) why we need to put * outside (*a+1)

we used pointers concept to store names in arrays. so we used * operator. if we didn't used pointers concept then don't want to use * like you said. which is normal array concept.

Some times the question will be Explain the use of pointers in arrays with suitable example.( AU nov/dec 2016, may/june2014) in that cases we should write pointer concept only.
