Pokémon - All Evil Team Boss Battle Themes (Generations 1 - 8) 

What's your favourite theme? Mine is a tough pick, but Ghetsis B2W2 or Cyrus is my favourite.

Cyrus, canonically, is 27. Being the galaxy leader is definitely a chill job...

Giovanni: Mafia boss that turned into a dimension travelling syndicate to get his own team. Archie: Pirate captain that can break your bones. Maxie: Scientist general with an army and too smart to stop. Cyrus: Nihilistic man who hates everyone, even his own team. N: An innocent teen who believes he's doing a good thing Ghetsis: Kingmaker with a god complex Colress: Scientist that will find answers to his question through every single possibility, even potentially hazardous ones. Lysandre: A fallen angel that believes in Thanos' view of the universe. Guzma: Proof that the bullied can become the bully. Lusamine: A wife that got obsessed to get to the monsters that caused her husband to vanish, getting corrupted by an alien jellyfish in the process... Or someone who's willing to do everything to protect Alola from Necrozma, even if it means pushing her daughter aside. Piers: Big bro that carries his precious sister and a whole town behind him. Rose: A paranoid successful man that never wants to have his life stripped of any convenience, but ends up learning that there's always something more powerful then him.

N's battle music is probably one of the best battle themes I've heard somehow the music captures N's innocence but shows how strong he is Whereas on the other hand Ghetsis's music is pure evil you know what's coming ahead Those voices behind the music chanting ghetsis just make it a thousand times better! His hydreigon was probably the coolest Pokemon an evil boss could have

For someone who isn't even that much of an evil team leader, Rose has the most evil overlord sounding theme of then all.

The fun part about Colress' is that you don't hear it until half way through the game, yet you fight him twice before hearing it.

Colress theme is awesome 🤩 probably one of my favourite.

Everybody gangsta until u hear Guzma's theme

Everybody sleeps on X and Y for every piece of the ost. The only one that people really recognize is Sycamores theme, which is good, but there is so much more to love in this OST

the choirs in Rose's theme are so good its unreal

I remember I did Colress's battle in a freaking restaurant, which I never used to do, so I had the volume down. I never even knew it existed until I finally replayed the game in 2019. I'm mad about it to this day because it is now one of my favorite themes, AND it's from the game I have the most hours on besides Platinum. If I had to pick ANY battle theme to represent a final battle with me, it would be his. Why me, why.

I've always loved the gun cocking at the beginning of Lysandre's theme. It really tells you in a moment just what will happen if you fail to stop him.

The contrast in intensities between the two Lysandre themes are immeasurable. Ultra blew it out of the water.

I really like Lusamine theme, it really does give the intelligent and sophisticated but completely unhinged... And well Giovanni... all his themes are perfect x)

It's impossible for me to pick. All of them are absolutely amazing in their own ways.

The thing I like the most about Guzmas theme is it perfectly describes his insanity in multiple different ways. Like the creepy music box/ cassette sounding music breaks are just freaky.

Truly evil guys were Giovanni, Cyrus and Ghetsis (N was manipulated by Ghetsis, Maxie and Archie's goals weren't evil per se but their methods were and their underestimating of Groudon/Kyogre messed it over, Rose the same, Lusamine was possessed, Guzma's gang were simply the rejects of society and Team Yell were simply overenthusiastic fans)

people really be sleeping on Rose's theme just because people don't like Sword and Shield. those games have some of the best music of the series, no joke.

Ghetsis is my favorite. I’ve always felt like he was the most powerful villain in Pokémon. Although, I always have a special place for Giovanni since Pokémon red blue and yellow were my first games that I played 😊 Guzma + Piers + Colress have my fav themes!!!

the oras boss theme will do it for me, every single time. hearing the original right before it too just seals the deal. one of the best things pokémon has remastered, if not the best

I really like how the 3d remakes kept some of the chip music from the originals. Even the drums in ghetsis' theme in USUM still sound like the ones from BW

No matter how bad the storywriting got in the last years the music is still fire.

Maxie and Archie's fights wasn't worth the music... It's literally a music that warm you that you will have to put your life on the line and then you stomp them with 1 pokémon...

I believe you forgot another theme for Lusamine in Sun/Moon. It's the theme that plays when you face her merged with the Ultra Beast! Just wanted to let you know, but still overall a great video

I'm not going to comment on which theme is my favorite, but point out that scrolling across that comment section make me smile that the opinions are very varied and people favorite pretty much different for their own reasons. To be honest, a mark that the music is so damn well made and captivate different audience. That bring a smile and a tear to my face.

Chairmen rose theme is the theme of *Capitalism*

I like all of these, but my top three are ORAS Archie and Maxie, Colress, and Guzma.

Guzma is always a tough trainer to battle. His theme will make you bop instead of rage quitting when that Masquerain keeps spamming Air Slash and Bug Buzz

Piers is a gym leader not a villain. he helps you find Leon by leading you to rose tower and help you fight dynamax pokemon. Nothing evil about team yell if anyone who should be on the list is Oleana chairman rose assistant.

I put them in an evil team up: Giovanni: Leader of an infamous gang that steals pokemon and sets up in 2 regions. The most prominent and the head of the villan team. Maxie: A scientist who carefully calculates every move but loses it when victory is In his grasp. Strategist of the team. Archie: A comedic pirate who backs pokemon up with every cell of his body. Conic relief and assistant pokemon carer of the team. Cyrus: A depressed leader who manipulates the population of team Galactic into thinking he is a man of the people. Cares nothing about his teammates and is only in this evil team up to create a new universe. Ghestsis: King who, much like cyrus, can nothing about his team and manipulates his adopted son to work for him while he works on a machine to freeze and hypnotise the world. N: Much like archie, comedic but also a moral lifter and pokemon carer. Helps care for pokemon and doesn't care for being evil anymore (Like most of the team) and instead is doing this as an indestructible group to become champion. Colress: Maxies assistant and manages technology like healing machines. Tests everymethod of Battle out first to assure victory. Lysandre: Has fully given up on his goal of a perfect world and teams up with the others to achieve the goal of becoming champion, mainly to show how he stands above others though. Guzma: Helps the team for fun, makes jokes and pranks. Lusamine: Has turned away from her ub experiments and has devoted her life to reconnecting with her kids. Kind but still a big crazy, she acts and gets the group out of trouble. Piers: Best friend with n and archie, uses shows to raise morale. God for funding. Rose: Hss found endless energy in regileki, is the kind person he pretends to be and is a serious buinsess head and finance director of the team.

I will always praise the daylights out of USUM's Lysandre theme. That alone made me have to restart X because I forgot how it sounded there, LOL.

Ruby sapphire emerald and oras sounds more like archies theme than maxies it has the pirate vibe

I also feel how each villain fins in the theme of its generation Giovanni: In the introduction to the Pokémon world, where care and love with them is emphasized, he views them only as tools. Archie/Maxie: In a region that's ½ water ½ land and how ecology is its theme, they represent the extremes and the folly of wanting to control the climate. Cyrus: Sinnoh puts emphasis in human soul (wisdom, spirit and courage). He represents nihilism, he has become 'a machine with humane form'. N: Unova represents how ideals and truth are usually opposed, but they can co-exist. While brainwashed by his father, he represents one extreme taken to the extreme, but in the end he learns that idals and truth don't have to be in the opposite faces. Ghetsis: He's truly evil, he represents the corruption of the human soul and the willingness of the truly evils to twist the minds of the others. Lysandre: Another nihilist, in a generation where the expression of beauty is chased through your journey, he represents a Hobbesian view of the world and wants to erase what he considers 'ugly', in his case, anyone who's not with him. Guzma: I find him interesting as a character, while Alola is represented as an almost utopic and shining society where traditions and novelty are merged, there are always those who are rejected by it, the dark side of every society. As one of the forsaken, he took them in and made them part of his family. Lusamine: Shebcoukd be a cross between Cyrus and Lysandre, she represents what happens to those that only center in their goals and forsake their humanity for them. She also acquires a twisted sense of beauty and tries to impose it on her children, which end up escaping and turning against her. Piers: Similar to Guzma, he's not an evil guy. Galar represents Pokémon combat as a professional sport, Gym Leaders and Champions are considered true mass idols with all that corporativism that surrounds real-world sports superstars. At the end, Team Yell are only a bunch of hooligans that want to cheer for his little sister and, like real-life ultras, step over the line with the legal side of things. He also represents rebellion against the establishment and patriotism as he forsakes Dynamax (Gen's 8 gimmick) in favor of staying true to his roots as Spikemuth does not have a Powe Spot and his crew supports Marnie because they see her as the only hope for their town. Their also the only 'villain Team' that achieve their goal in the end as Marnie is able to bring attention to Spikemuth even if she'd not the champ. Rose: He truly fits his role as the dark side of Galar as he represents political corruption. Also, on the other hand, he's not truly evil as his goal is to solve a future energy crisis in Galar, even if ends up causing a bigger mess that the player has to solve. In gameverse he ends up repenting for his mess and surrenders to the authorities to atone for his crimes.

From gen 5 onwards, Game Freak started to develop more antagonists which has some nice personalities outside and evil inside (except for N) for the following main series games we all know.

Piers in my eyes has the best theme is sword and shield but also out of all of these. In sword and shield cause its actually a unique theme you get from his fight and his fight alone. When it comes to out of all of these I just have a rock/metal music taste so i just enjoy Piers' theme more :D

Rose was never even truly a bad guy, but his methods were way too extreme Lysandre was something else though. Acting innocent and everything but secretly planning to kill everyone and start over

56:56 people say that his theme doesn't fit him but here's the thing, he is the chairman of the largest energy supplier in the galar region. He could starve the galar region of energy if he wanted to, and he's probably a millionaire/billionaire. He can pay people to make what ever theme he wants. Also it's a bop.
