Almost 3 years too late, but Ditto can't breed with itself. That's why it's so hard to find perfect Ditto.

My favorite breeding trick: Get a female Salamence/Shellgon, and a male Gyarados which knows Hydro Pump. Breed the two. Bam, Bagon which knows Hydro pump.

One word: Flygon. For whatever reason, the line is a singular Bug egg group. That means instead of being compatible to pseudo-legendaries and other dragons, you have to breed your Flygon to things like Butterfree or Scoliopede. Now I understand that Flygon is based on insects as well as dragons, but in that case why not make it compatible with both? Plenty of dual egg typed Pokemon exist, just like with combat typings. Back in Ruby/Sapphire when I evolved my first Flygon, a female, I drove myself crazy trying to breed it with every dragon I could think of before I finally got my guide out and realized that a male Dustox was the only thing I happened to have that was compatible with it (the descendants of that uh, interesting union still survive in my X version to this day.) To me this will always be more of a memorable problem then things like Skitty/Wailord only because it's actually frustrating if you don't know any better.

Here is how to breed in X and Y: 1. Put a Ditto and a pokemon of your choice in the day care. 2. After about 5 minutes, you will get an egg. 3. While holding the egg, walk, bike, or roller skate around prism tower. 4. Your egg will hatch, and you will get a level 1 version of the pokemon you put in the day care with ditto, except unevolved. 5. ????? 6. Profit.

I spend me afternoons breeding Zangoose and Seviper. Because if you're going to slap God in the face, you might as well do it wearing brass knuckles.

Ditto cannot breed with Ditto. They never have been able to breed. Also, in HG/SS, there was an event that explained where eggs come from. If you got the event Arceus and brought it to the Unknown Ruins, you could go to the TohJo ruins, where Arceus would create either a Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina egg (your choice), sending it down from the sky. Also, in X/Y, there is an old man that actually says that eggs AREN'T actually eggs, they are more like containers or carriers. So in actuality, egg-shaped cases holding level 1 (or in the earlier games level 5) Pokémon are sent by Arceus (aka the Pokémon god) from the sky to the mother, where the Day-Care Man steals the "egg", confused as to where it came from, and gives it to you... unless you say "no", but who knows what happens then...

I hatched a white eevee from breeding flareon with ditto. I tried getting more white eevees, but they came out original colored.

I actually put a Samurott and a Ninetales in the day care (gen 5) and got an egg It was so surprising knowing I made an OC Ship with them

Um, well, I think I broke my Pokémon X with the breeding mechanic xD. I put my Pansear and Pansage in the daycare (both male) and left them there for the continuation of the main story. After the main story, I have an egg. Not. Joking. At first, I had forgotten what Pokémon I had left in the daycare. I had thought one was female. But, no. It was my male Pansage and Male Pansear. When I realized they were both male, I started laughing so hard. I was like 'WTF!! GAY POKEMON EGG!' xD Strangely, though, the egg weirdly hatched an Eevee. The Eevee was male, though! xD. Gay pokemon egg xD

Here's some tips for ORAS breeders: -The daycare man will stay in the spot he's always in, but he will turn around when your two Pokémon lay an egg. -The Cosplay Pikachu, despite being a Pikachu, is in the undiscovered egg group, meaning it cannot breed at all. -The best way to get a Ditto in ORAS is to transfer from an earlier game or just trade, as the Mirage spots that are only where Ditto can be found in ORAS are incredibly specific and can take quite a while to find the right ones.

The reason why Nidorina and Nidoqueen can't breed is an "ascended glitch" from the Gen 2 games. Someone bungled the coding for breeding and the evolotions of Nidoran^GIRL can't breed as a result. This error was then kept in all subsequent games for consistency sake. Also, another fun breeding fact: In Gen 2 ONLY, Staryu has programmed Egg Moves despite being genderless and unable to breed with anything but Ditto. This likely means the Staryu line weren't originally going to be genderless Pokemon.

In fact, large mammals have small sexual organs in proportion to the rest of your body. So it may be very common in the Pokemon Day Care hear the laughter of female Skittys and the screams of Wailord: "I was in the pool !!" Wanna talk about difficult hidden abilities? Try it in SM and USUM (Yes I know this video is like 5 years old now) But to get a Kanto form with hidden ability, you gotta have two Kanto forms (I used Vulpix), female needs an Everstone (so you're nature-locked), and then the HA chance DROPS to less than 40% even with a Drought Female Kanto Vulpix. Plus side, if you leave off the Everstone, you can get a Snow Warning Alolan Vulpix about 30% of the time, with 70% of the eggs being Alolan even with two Kanto Vulpix. Then if you get a female, you can have regular odds on HA Alolan Vulpix.

I've been breeding Charmanders from my first one in generation 3 all the way since late 2004, the one I have currently in X is the great-great-great grandson of my first Charizard.

You should do an in-depth guide on passing egg moves, and especially, chain breeding. I've struggled past several years on trying to chain breed multiple egg moves on pokemon, but I just can't figure it out. Tried to search info and tried pretty much every trick in the book - but always end up with one or the other move, instead of both moves I want.

I remember just the other month in my Pokemon X version I received and egg that was super close to hatching just shortly after receiving it from the day care. I just went in and checked the egg's summary and it said "Sounds can be heard inside! This egg will hatch soon!" I left my male Zoroark i captured in the day care with my Ditto and that's how I got my soon to hatch egg! And I got a female Zorua from the egg! The female ratio for getting a female Zorua is pretty slim. Only 12.5% chance of getting a female. AND I GOT 1!!! :D

:P You manage to teach me something with every video that I watch. I've been breeding Pokemon for as long as I've been playing the games. (There was a file I had in Saphire where I literally had, like, an army of 25 Zigzagoons because I kept forgetting to take them out of the daycare...) And yet, I never knew until now that it was possible to breed when they weren't the same type of Pokemon.

Time to get into "Brock Mode". My experience as a Ditto Pimp will pay off now.

One time I was breeding eevees trying specifically to get females for vapoereon and espeon and I wasn't paying attention to the moves the parents knew and ended up with a pack of eevees that knew from birth: Shadow Ball Iron Tail Body Slam and Dig. Later I realized someone had traded me an eevee that they'd bred/taught those moves to to mimic May's anime eevee but it was still cool at the time.

All Legendary, Mythical and Baby Pokémon, Unown, Nidorina and Nidoqueen cannot breed (except Phione and Manaphy). Passing down moves by breeding is a great way to "reuse" TMs (Gen II-IV) that cannot be reobtained in ways like buying.

I've done the wondering trade a few times and received a few starters with awesome moves as lvl 1s. So obviously breed that way and amazingly I also received a ditto in a wonder trade as well so whenever I get an awesome breed pokemon I breed it again with my ditto while holding destiny knot

Here's a tip; breed any female in the galarian Zigzagoon line with a male Thwacky or Rillaboom with Knock Off, and you get a Zigzagoon with Knock Off 👌

also if you play soul silver (not sure about heart gold) you can put 2 compatible pokemon in the day care, go up and down the middle of goldenrod a few times, then go to the train station, talk to the officer person there then the day care man will call u and say there is an egg. i got 2 eggs in about 1 minute once. it rlly helps.

Volbeat and Illumise can produce an egg of either species, whether Illumise breeds with any compatible male or Volbeat breeds with a Ditto.

i never liked breading but i thought why not givi it a shot in gen 6, i started with making a female gible bread with a dratini from someone else. i recieved my egg very quickly and started going crazy on my bike. it took so frckng long finally i remembered your video and though i am going to rewatch it how long did it take again for a pokemon to breed and afcourse i choose to breed the longest to hatch pokemon

Personal favorite Pokémon to breed for Egg moves is a male Remoraid or Octillery. These Pokémon have a decently deep move pool for breeding purposes and can pass many of these moves on to other baby Pokémon species. These moves include, among others: 1) Ice Beam 2) Aurora Beam 3) Psybeam 4) Signal Beam 5) Bubblebeam 6) Octazooka If there's a certain type of Egg Move that you want on a water Pokémon, there's a good chance that the Remoraid family can learn it.

I bred two magicarp (one named MEW and the other mew) and got a level 100 golbat.... I tried to do it again, but I think it was a glitch. I was trying to get a MEW!!! :(
