Rules of the challenge:
Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch one Pokémon on each Route (Species Clause)
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4 (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

The different Spaceworld ROMs had a few. In the 97 build, you had the Norowara line, and in the 98 list you have some Pokémon that may have had that typing, such as 331 and 401, and the same is true for the dragon type. I honestly wish more hacks would use these designs so there could be more type variety

I love that they decided to lock new Gen 2 pokemon like Houndour, Slugma, Misdreavus and Larvitar in Kanto (and the last two in Mt Silver which makes it even worse)

Larvitar being Endgame wouldn't necessarily be bad because Pseudo if Dratini wasn't available before the Third Gym

@Nevrikx I mean I get that, would be OP having a Tyranitar that early. But at least allow us to get it after the 8 gym badges, so we can use it for Elite 4 and Kanto Gyms (despite them already being a joke)

You know? You could have put your female gastly and one of the male ones on the daycare and get access to a fifth one, since an egg technically counts as the Route 34 encounter.

I think it would've been more interesting if you used a gastly, a haunter and a gengar instead of 4 gengars, but im not sure it'd be possible

Considering he could not even beat Falkner without using three Gastly, it seems indeed impossible. Maybe two Gastly would be enough with a lot of luck. Using Misdreavus as the starter plus one Gastly may be possible, though you lose a lot of late-game coverage only having one Gengar with Elemental Punches.

Interestingly, my preferences are pretty much reversed. I really like Gen II and Gen VII and personally consider Gen V the worst. Well, I should say Johto and Alola, and Unova. Gen I is the worst but I love LGPE, so Kanto goes up a few notches. That is one thing I like about Pokémon, though. There is no objectively worst or best game. Every game is someone's favourite.

If you are willing to go with Ghost types and wait for them to be able to use struggle, why not go the extra mile and make a full Metapod, Kakuna, silcoon and so on team that only knows harden. Makes for thrilling gameplay I am sure.

It's also significantly better to play Alpha Sapphire, since Sharpedos are weak to electric and Camuerupts are strong up until you get Lanturn, which I think has to be via dive.

Johto is rad as hell, its also weird and messy and I wish they would have fixed some of that in the remakes but whatever. Mid is probably accurate but they are far better than the ones below them so ehhhh.

Okay so I saw your White 2 prof. oak Challenge and wanted to do it myself so I did. Just did the first gym. Took 61:56 hours and 3,353 encounters. Also for context this is on a Ds lite with an actual cartridge so no speed up. Although I didnt want to bore myself with it so It took 5 months. Started October 23.

good idea but I would modify starter to misdreavios and make additional rule that I can catch new ghastly after earning 2 badges resulting in being allowed to have 1 ghastly for falkner/bugsy, 2 ghastlies for Whitney/Morty etc.

You can't really beat Falkner without 3 though, since neither misdreavous or gasly learn a non- ghost type damaging move and 2 normal/flying types will be too much with only struggle at level 9.

Cool video but quick question. Did you use a cheat to make your Pokémon only need 1 EXP to level up and not train on wild Pokémon? You can see multiple times before big battles that all of your Pokémon are just 1 EXP away from leveling up. Did you just do that before the gyms and big battles so you could immediately level up and have the advantage and save time? It just seems strange is all

RB or Y Ice mono please ! its one i really need to see how you go about it. assuming you can use the Pre-evolutions* but have to immediately evolve you have a limited selection Shelder*/ Cloyster -super rod required. Seal*/ Dewgong -Seafom/ Cinabar (dependent on RB or Y) Jynx - Cerulean Trade; Poliwhirl -Good rod poliwag. Lapras - Silph gift the FIRST option you have is Lapras in Siph!. at how long it takes to get your first mon i would recommend allowing Seal to start

It was simpler in Gen I and II, though. It took longer maybe, but you can fight literally whatever you wanted and max all stats. No having to plan things out, no chance to mess it up.
