I'm surprised at how this one turned out! The original track from the OST has got a nice medium jazz vibe, and I felt like it'd be a cop-out if did it exactly like the original version of Jubilife... so I took it in a very different direction. I was pretty inspired by one of Jonathan Young's recent videos, so I tried my hand at some pretty heavy rehamonization with a cool layered synth patch in the style of Dirty Loops. Not necessarily what you'd expect from Jubilife!

Sinnoh has, hands down, the best music in the Pokemon series. I just really hate the slow gameplay, especially when you KO a Pokémon and that one second wait before the HP drops. Perhaps playing gen 5 and up has made me unappreciate this, but I'll still love gen 4 I'm waiting for that remake

Gen 4 definitely had the best tracks although gen 5 is close. I like the battle music in gen 5 a bit more. Gen 4 definitely takes overworld themes though.

When playing through Pokémon Platinum, I absolutely hated listening to Jubilife City's music, in fact as a result, it made me play through the the game with the volume turned on mute. But listening to this cover, gives a new life to it, and every time I listen to it, I fall in love with it over and over again. Thank you for allowing me to have such an experience!

I love how full and bouncy all of your arrangements have been recently! So much energy and character, and the textures~! And this has always been something I've wanted to mess around with myself! Just got back from seeing Detective Pikachu, and I've been relistening to all of your Pokemon arrangements to complement the great viewing experience of the film. If only they had hired you as the composer. Music done in the style of your jazz covers would have been a perfect choice for the atmosphere of Ryme City. Love your work, Carlos. These covers never fail to overwhelm me with nostalgia for my days of playing Platinum.

As much as I love the gen 4 covers, there are quite a few songs from gen 5 that would sound absolutely amazing with a jazz cover. Would be awesome if you gave them some love. I remember Jubilife as being the one place in Sinnoh I actually didn't care about all that much. Even Celestial town was bizarre enough in its emptiness that it actually interested me. Jubilife was just... that big town I passed through from time to time. Which reminds me that Sinnoh is one of three regions in which I actually enjoyed going from place to place without using Fly. (Hoenn and Johto were the others, and I think Hoenn did the best job of it all things considered.) Great music by the way. A lot better than I remember it.

I'm pretty sure it was these games that truly got me into the series. I had red, blue, and crystal. (Didn't ever get gen 3). Then Diamond and Pearl came out and I was hooked. Ah memories.
