Fun Fact to teach HG more about his Favorite Pokémon: Flygon is not a dragonfly, it's actually based on the adult stage of an Antlion which is very similar to a dragonfly. Even Trapinch kind of looks like an Antlion Larva.

Fun fact: Flygon became so popular and mistaken for a pseudo, that they made a pseudo legendery with the same type.

I watch MDB's challenges a lot. He's got a lot of patience compared to a lot of other people. Mad Respect to people that do hardcore nuzlockes and pokemon challenges.

In terms of other content I think seeing you nuzlocke some drayano hacks without monotype restrictions could be incredibly fun with multiple episode formats maybe like your current content just spread over a few videos? It’s pretty clear you are a good nuzlocker so it would be fun to see you tackle some of those without the pressure of beating the game in one week. Or having your team limited to such a preset.

Nice video! Have you ever tried a N type nuzlocke? It's basically an hardcore nuzlocke but after every major battle (from first gym to entering the league) you have to release/permabox a pokemon on your team, generally one that has already stayed in your team the longest and has played a big role in the last battle. A bit grindy perhaps but lots of fun!

Hey dude, I love it when Poketubers use their favorites in a run~! Honestly I'd love to see you tackle solo runs in later generations for comparison's sake since Flygon's my favorite dragon too~ I'll always be fondest of the foxes, but Flygon does hold a dear place to me as well. I didn't realize solo 'mon runs were a challenge. I've always played pokemon like this. One OP 'mon to sweep them all.

Interesting to see you try more stuff. The problem with this rule set is the over levelling. I think it might be interesting to see the lowest level you can beat the game deathless with one pokemon. Ie. you pick the pokemon and strats beforehand. That'd be a good running series or maybe even a collaboration?

It's interesting that Ekans showed up in the beginning. Ekans is the default pokemon referred to when the game needs a pokemon to refer to, I believe. I know it's that way in FireRed and LeafGreen.

I like the challenge it's a good concept, I'd maybe argue that held items can give a pretty great advantage so a bit powerful on top end pokemon but would be more than fair for more middle of the road stiff as I know from experience it's stressful enough doing them without the reset element to it, however that's just my opinion and if you enjoy doing it that way fair play I'd stick with the ruleset.

I want to see a "Freegan" run, meaning you're not allowed to spend any pokedollars (or whatever they're called) during the run. No buying pokeballs, TMs, evolution stones, nothing. You can only use what you are given or what you find on the ground (or in the trash). I'm not sure how a run like that would go, but I think it could be pretty challenging in early gens where you can't farm items easily.

My recommendation is a Bug monotype, for basically any game of your choice. DPP feels like they'd be the hardest, as that would mean playing with one Kricketot against freaking Roark, while perhaps RSE or FRLG would be much easier due to the variety and power of the mans available early on. Maybe HGSS?

Pokemon That learn Bite naturally? I just realized that both Gyradose and Flygon seem to have a history of Bite. It's the first move Gyradose learns and Flygon knows it because it's first stage is all mouth for offence. And I remembered a thing in the anime about a Poocheyana not evolving because it preferred to use tackle rather than learn Bite. Kinda of a stupid team to theme a play through with, kinda sounds like a theme team from a Pimpnite video lol. But you asked for suggestions and a comment helps with the algorithm so I thought I'd at least leave it.

If you ever do a run like this in Platinum and manage to beat Cynthia's Garchomp, you'll have definitively proven that Flygon is the best Dragon-Ground type.

Perhaps you should have tried the final Steven battle as well? It would be viable for a Flygon solo run, using a moveset of Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Flamethrower, and Crunch (returning the latter to the moveset as Steven does not use evasion tactics). Cradily and Armaldo would probably be the hardest Pokémon to knock out, and there might also be issues with Claydol's screen support (though because it knows only AncientPower and Earthquake for attacking moves, it really couldn't hurt Flygon on its own). His most threatening Pokémon, Aggron and Metagross, are easily dealt with by using Earthquake, and his Skarmory will not like taking a Flamethrower; that said, if Skarmory survived, it could get a Toxic off. Furthermore, his Aggron has the only super-effective coverage against Flygon, with Dragon Claw. But Aggron's Special Attack is bad, and that 4x Ground weakness means that it would drop to a STAB Earthquake in one hit, before it even had a chance to do anything. Cradily, with Confuse Ray, might be tricky, given the risk of hitting yourself in confusion. Metagross would be his hardest-hitting Pokémon, particularly with STAB Meteor Mash (base 100/85% accuracy in Gen 3), provided it survived a super-effective STAB Earthquake. The big question here, of course, would be if Claydol successfully got its screens up, especially Reflect. Cradily and Armaldo are neutral to Earthquake, though Dragon Claw could also be used for an alternative neutral STAB (albeit based on SpA) in the event that Reflect were up.
