Pokémon Games Should Be Better 

I hate that we have to “wait patently” as a 90 billion dollar franchise to take their one too many baby steps in the right direction for them to get to a destination that’s on par with the rest of the industry. Any game studio would kill for a dedicated audience and a franchise with THAT much money behind it. But instead we’re here. *sighs* Great video btw.

Amen to that...the newer pokemon games have been so average...game freak knows they can sell a name without giving us a masterpiece...such a shame

One thing to note is that Nintendo owns Monolithsoft since 2007, so Nintendo could let Monolithsoft make a Pokémon game, but the one Nintendo dosn't own is Gamefreak. So im not sure if they would be allowed to make a mainline title, but a Spin-Off with the gameplay and style of Pokémon shouldn't be a problem.

I have my eyes on DokeV as a potential pokemon replacement, even though it can never REALLY be replaced. I also hope Arceus moves nintendo away from "Simple Design" Ui they've used in Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Mario Sports games. I feel like so much charm can be put into menus for these games.

Yeah to be honest they need to build out the pokemon team, I'm shocked there's only one team working on a multimillion franchise most of the time. Have Gamefreak oversee new branches like literally build up support studios that way you can divide up the load and let your developers tinker a bit.

I just wish I’d just not get disappointed by Pokémon anymore every damn time new games release. I skipped moon/ultra moon just to land at shield and now I’m done. Shield was lazy and just cheap. The thing about monolith open world is that they can really feel kinda big and barren and the games run at a 720p resolution (docked) but yeah you are right maybe they could help gamefreak out for the next big entry.

While Scarlet and Violet went for a “Breath of the Wild” styled open world, I’d prefer it to be more like Xenoblade than Breath of the Wild, and this is coming from someone who actually liked Scarlet and Violet

Monolith Soft developing a great looking Pokémon game for the next Nintendo console’s launch line up would be incredible!

This. I redownloaded Violet after doing a play through and deleted because the game was so buggy and unoptimized it was embarrassing. I was hoping they had addressed at least the major issues in the year since I played the game, and they hadn’t. Like at all. Not even the major graphical glitches that occur on a frequent basis. If they can’t even bother to fix the mess they made they don’t deserve another $30 for the new DLC.

I can only hope they give me the right gameplay features in their next mainline game.

I think Pokémon should go away from the battle mechanic and focus on discovery, puzzle solving, and defensive battles. You could have whole leagues based around racing, flying, target hitting or magic. And to be able to control the Pokémon directly would be great. Or maybe there’s room for a whole new franchise to do something like that.

The issue atm I think is that 3D Pokémon games and pixel Pokémon games were always different. One supported the other. They wouldn’t struggle to fit all the Pokémon if we just went back to pixels

Scarlet & Violet did not have that. So, I never collected or played ether version.

Arceus reignited and rejuvenated the formula for me, it did feel like a half finished game but that sense of creeping around at thw start of he ganw knowing youre in danger at any moment, frantically dashing away from level 40 alphas felt scary and exhilarating. The sense of exploration was great too. The battle mechanica were perhaps too oversimplified and streamlined, abd balanced withmany tactics being removed altogether (toxic poisoning, confusion, every status affect essentially being a mirror of each other) but it played hard and fast. If monolith worked on the next legends title and really fleshed it out that would be epic

Before watching this video, yes pokemon games should be better, 10 years ago i've said to my best friend, hey... they should make a game where you can choose what zone to start on and be able to visit every region so far and have more than 1 save file, that'd be a great pokemon game....but then i said they're probably not gonna do that, their target audience is children and their goal is money, then we sighed and continued with our day....

To all the people tired of dealing with GF bull@$%t, should Try Shin Megami Tensei. Its difficult, a lot of "pokemons" to capture and the franchise could use some help to grow. Its a win win situation.

I think, if gamefreak would go back to nostalgic 2D Pokemon games, they could create awseome games^^

in my opinion a pokemon reboot would be in oder i mean not like fire red leaf green or evee and pikatu but a complete reimagination yes it would start in kanto but not the same cardbord cutout remake but a more dynamic fluid one instead of the blocky striaght line routes more like a living breathing world like legends acreus imagen the whole thing as a live service mmo town akt like hubs where you can see trade party and battle other players while routes are instanced and player visability is limited to you and your party members so they dont get overcorwded pokemon behavior also need an overhaul in terms of spawn conditions based on location time of day weather and season better behavior in the wild no more aimlessle wandering mobs of pokemon but pokemon that hunt other pokemon for food group togehter build their own nest and so on no more 2-3 versions per generation instead on creation of a new character the trainer id acts as a seed that randomly chooses 80% of the avadible 151 pokemon legis excluded for spawn that way you still need to trade for a 100% pokedex shinys need to be specail again so back to the 1 in 8k from gen 1 same with legis no more handouts legendary pokemon are so rare they became legends show that in thier spawn conditions and location mewtwo for example could still spawn in his cave but only for a few ours per week randomized based of your trainer id the same for the birds but in addition if they are not in the cave they wander the routes like the dragon duo in gen so i now that thats sound like a mega project but once the groundwork is layed down with the first title adding other regions as dlc would be easier they could even sustatin funding of the game with box expansion like in pokemon home you start with 10 boxes each with 30 slots giving you a genoures 300 slots for gen one an give you 2-5 boxes with each region dlc i mean since were talking about a reboot they dont have to stick to the original 151 they could easliy expand it to 200 introducing new kanto forms of pokemon from later generation anyway with that concept they could bring back the international dex and sustain it by slowly adding to it with updates and dlcs i could go on for ever on that topic but i have places to be so thats it for now

la is easily the best game in the series its a shame that if was so quickly followed up with easily the worst gen with a glitch ridden mess of a game

Pokemon: Should be vastly more open world. Have voice acting. Battles should be free, RGP, Souls like, and more optioned character customization.

Nah but when are humans gonna treat Pokémon properly instead of making them weapons ⁉
