I will say another pretty fun pokemon go “clone” (that i believe is still active) is Jurassic World Alive although its pretty grindy and kinda has a bit of a micro transaction problem from the last time i played it a while ago but it was pretty fun
Talking about the rift in Draconius Go, I wonder if the Space - Time Distortion Events in Legends Arceus would come to Pokemon Go! Would be pretty cool!
Awesome. I'm loving this content lately. Ive been playing Orna casually for a while now and has some features that Niantic had better pay attention to. Like building useful stuff nearby and like was mentioned the spawns improve in rural areas. I went on a hike once and the game was way better and encouraged getting outside and exploring more than Pogo ever did. Pogo just seems to encourage everyone migrating to a city to play.
@@Aidan_Yao and also the fact that it kinda ties into the lore of the fandom like it was released after fallen kingdom u know when dinos are now running free in the wild and the u r a member of DPG
Former level 60 wizards unite player here (as can be assumed from my username), it was literally the best game I had ever played, only reason it shut down was pretty much the bugs and not enough people playing it. Respect to you Mystic for keeping it on your phone though, really wished it had stayed. As for the Draconius GO, kinda shocked at how it copied Pokemon GO in almost every way possible including the UI. I also think that Minecraft Earth really had some potential and am kinda bummed I never got to play it. Regardless, loving the new content, I hope you enjoy making it too!
"not enough people playing" was a direct result of people having to upgrade their phone to actually play, I know a ton of harry potter fans who couldnt justify upgrading a good phone just for one more game - such a fun rollercoaster of a game though
As someone that actively plays Orna, I was pleasantly surprised to see that on your list. And they have yet to pull the "Covid bonuses" from the game. It was originally built by a one man army, but it's since branched out into to be more of a gaming company, Northern Forge. Based out of Canada. The discord is super active! Monthly updates. They listen very well to player feedback. There are mini events throughout the month (listed monthly in a calendar!) So there is no FOMO. And summoning scrolls to bring raids to YOU! Niantic could take some notes from them. Would strongly recommend it for anyone that likes the old 8 bit style of sprites. Thinking older Final Fantasy games. In depth but highly helpful discord community for questions and solid tutorials to help you learn. But it's like an Ogre.. it's got layers like an onion haha.
Inns in Harry Potter didn't give items. They refilled your energy, aka magic points. Also, Draconius Go is still very alive. But events are automated on a timer, and it barely have any updates. But it's perfectly playable to this day.
There was a game from around 2010-2013 called Geomon that was very similar to Pokemon Go. You had a radar that showed creatures around you based on features in Google Maps like rivers, lakes, cities, parks and other stuff. They unfortunately shut it down because Yahoo bought the location technology and it ended up being a terrible decision because of Pokémon Go just a couple years later. Still one of my favorite games I’ve ever played
I wouldn't count Minecraft Earth as a ripoff, although it was similar with the map system. RIP MC Earth tho, it had cool new mobs and some other interesting things.
Played JC go for about a week. I realized that the quickest way to gain fast experience was to watch ads. So I'd stock up on health, then hunt a 30-40 second add. I think it was 2000 experience or something bonkers for each ad watched. So I'd watch the same ad for like 25-30 minutes. Once I figured that crazy gain system, I jumped up to top 100 then stopped.
This was such an enjoyable video to watch. It's a shame Minecraft Earth had to be discontinued. I was enjoying the game alongside GO since the release. Minecraft Earth was phenomenal and had no right to be enjoyable to play outside or at home since one of the main focus of the game was building rather than crafting, smelting, etc.
In the Reformed Christian Gaming group I’m in, I found out about that Follow J.C. Go just a couple weeks ago 😂 I reached out to the developers shortly after and they do plan to come back and add more to the game
Jurassic World Alive is a decent Pokémon go type game, accessible stops, clans, easy to learn pvp, huge roster of Dino’s, easy team up raids without doing a whole discord process or other app
You forgot about this one Pokemon Go clone that's based on Jurassic Park where you catch Dinosaurs by shooting darts on specific areas on the body of the dinosaur you want to catch.
I played draconius go for a while and i have to admit the Only thing draconius go did better than pokemon go, is the incense and lures. Incense and lures worked exellent compair to pokemon. Lures and incense had a range of i dont know 100-200m i think, correct me if i am wrong. But i think that was way better than pokemon go.
Orna is actually very fun. I played it for a while but like most games it eventually became quite a bit grindy and I got bored. Definitely worth a shot though.
There's one most relevant "Go game" ,and maybe a competitor of PoGo, which is the Jurassic World Alive. And there were 2 more "Go game" which I think they are currently not available because I haven't seen them in the stores. Those 2 games are Ghost Busters Go (I think it is this name, but not actually sure) and The Walking Dead World (or something around here) btw they were the fun games tho
Spellcasting in Wizards Unite was fine. It never quite reached the level of Glyph Hacking in Ingress, which in turn never quite reached the level of spellcasting in Shadow Cities.
I started playing Pokémon Go when my kids downloaded it. I had very little knowledge, just what little I had gleaned from taking my kids to a couple of movies, and their Gameboy games. Six years later, I’m still playing, they stopped years ago. So yes, you can play with very little knowledge. The missing elements, trading PVP didn’t matter to me as my gaming history was based on Space Invaders! I really enjoy Pokémon Go! I found it and still do find it a motivator to get out walking so I can earn that XP, fill the DEX, raid, hatch an egg, complete research. I think it’s an addiction.
I play draconius go like every day cuz i just live in a place with like small amounts of pokestops draconius world generation is amazing i recommend if you dont have any pokestops ANYWHERE near your house

It's really weird, I think it's a cheap imitation of Pokemon Go
I think the JC Go thing is hilarious, but good for those who would love it. Despite not being a believer, I like the “stop and pray” part of it integrated into the gameplay.
I play Orna to this day and hey... GPS spoofs still work on it! Only did it cause my friend had a blacksmith shop in front of his house and I didn't. I do now! So, I have no need to spoof over to his neighborhood to get my stuff upgraded. It's really fun.
There was also a ghost buster gps game that was released after Pokémon go but it shut down. :( Not gonna lie I had fun playing that. Now I continue my path of becoming a Pokémon master.
With that wizards unite game I actually randomly got a library gift card at the time it came out and got this wierd game guide to the book. I still have it and it’s kinda funny cause I can just read through the games quests and everything without ever having downloaded it.
I'm driving and can't look up the title right now. There was a really cool pokemon go clone using the Jurassic park IP. Really fun at the time. only stopped because too much pokemon go.
Honestly i don't think pokemon go can claim all AR based gameplay... I genuinely feel po go is not increasing graphics or something unique.. Its just making money of the community.. Recycling similar events over and over. And OVER.
Minecraft earth was actually really fun, such a shame they shut it down due to the pandemic. They couldve made features that let people play during the pandemic like pokemon go did
Minecraft earth was not a Pokémon clone. It was made by the Minecraft developers and then soon got shut down due to probably controversial stuff or even copyright, but it was not copied from Pokémon GO. It was just the original thing me from Mojang that looks like Pokémon go, but wasn’t Pokémon GO
Talking about Harry Potter wizards unite, I remember having this game when I was in my Harry Potter phase that lasted from when I was 8-12. I loved this game a lot but because of how little I had to do, I uninstalled it
Ok but- who would even make a christian pokemon go? I mean I'm catholic, my family is too, and I have no idea why someone would even... I'm at a loss for words.
