You nervously walk through the caves, nearing the top. You are the champion. You should feel confident. Yet, somehow, it feels as if you are being stared right through. You exit the caves. It isn't as snowy up here. Then, you see something that makes your blood freeze. A single figure standing there. He is dressed in red and white, clutching his cap. Without a word, he pulls out a pokeball. You muster up your courage and do the same. The Battle of the Ages Begins.
8-Bit Johnson Unfortunately, we never know the battle's outcome. Not even in the generations series.......why Nintendo? why? Also we don't know Gold's full team.
Was that Model Chick really that hard to beat? I just used an Arcanine with Heat Wave as Heat Wave never misses on that field due to the rebound of attacks.
Jared Woo I was like 15levels over the Max level cap : / I thanked god when My Greninja shot the Froslass with Hydro pump. and I was playing first time and I had no firetypes. and My Greninja got taken down so easily because they had nasty signal beams!
Jared Woo I ended up sweeping her with Serperior of all things. Contrary made any accuracy debuffs she threw at me work against her, and nature power became mirror shot in that terrain.
@@DraconicCatgirlThese are characters from a fan game called Pokemon Reborn, a difficult yet well made fan game. This theme plays when you battle them. I highly recommend you check out the fan game if you don't mind a darker and more mature pokemon game.
Theme of Julia, Florinia, Corey, Shelly, Shade, Aya, Serra, Noel, Radomus, Luna, Samson and Charlotte. Trainers that WILL kick your butt so hard you can't even imagine.
It reminds me of Pokemon Reborn, an awesome fan game available on PC. Each Gym leader fight is made really intense, thanks to the foe's team and this epic music :) I enjoy it so much !
+♛ Scytha Gang ♛ technicaly speaking, she didn't make it *for* the game. The remixes existed a little bit beforehand. Amethyst simply asked for permision and used most of these.
You hear this, you get the bad feels. Darkness surrounding you, as you stare at the gym leader in Reborn. You don't know where the bad vibes come from, from your utter panic and fear or the sadness/rage of the gym leader you're fighting. Shit gets serious.
@@user-mt3ru5xg6y Reborn is easily one of the most incredible and also difficult fan games ever made for Pokemon. If you haven't checked it out I highly recommend it.
In Gen II, it had never really clicked that Red was the character from Gen I for some reason, so as I ascended Mount Silver, I was thinking " Alright, I've dethroned champion, beaten two regions worth of gyms, including Douchebag, my OLD rival, and now I'm climbing a mountain to fight some guy to become the very very best of all trainers, for real this time." Then as I got to the top, I was thinking "Alright, time to beat this motherfu-Holy. Shit. Is it? It is. I'm fighting….me. I'M FIGHTING MOTHERFUCKING ME!!!!! GAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!" (Nerdgasm)
***** I had a lvl. 100 charizard but and it came down to his and mine. I almost lose that battle though. not to mention all the revives. Damned pikachu, damned lapras, damned blastoise...
+Enrique Pasqual When I climbed Mount Silver for the first time in Soul Silver, I thought I was gonna find a shiny Articuno waiting for me at the top. I was confused when I found Red. Then almost Shit bricks when his Pikachu was level 88.
+Warren Graham yeah i agree but pokemon Reborn is really hard because of the level thing i mean i was struggling at the second gym and i had a Woobat and Quilava!!!
easy?! i had like 20 attempts and i was using a flying type and fire type!! how can that be hard?! but also the gym leader Shade?......uuugh hes creepy
in the distant future, when they remake Red/Blue and then Gold/Silver for 3D graphics they need to add a download option where if you do that, the games in Johto will use your own personal name as the person that broke up Team Rocket. Blue as the 8th gym leader will use his Championship team from the Red/Blue remade games. and then, FINALLY, once you climb all the way up Mt. Silver, you come face to face with.....YOUR FORMER SELF. FIGHTING AGAINST THE TEAM *YOU PERSONALLY*, AS THE OWNER OF THE RED/BLUE REMAKE, USED TO BEAT THE CHAMPION WITH!!!! (Appropriately leveled up to the levels Red normally uses.) and, lets face it. we never actually, really beat Red. We just......survived...barely.
When i came to the very top of mt.silver and saw red,i cried a little bit, because i knew this was gonna be my last, and final battle in the johto region...........i walked up to him,and said *hello old friend* and battled my heart out
Out of all the Meteor Admins I've fought so far, I think I only lost to the second ZEL fight with the PULSE Muk. There were definitely some close calls with the later ones like the second Ace fight, the third Aster & Eclipse fight, and the first Sirius fight, but overall surprisingly not too bad yet. Edit: Ace 3 killed me. Also Taka 3, though I almost beat that one.
@@Outcastsage9033Cain and Shelly were tough there, but I got past everyone else with just about no issues. The Mega Gardevoir almost killed me though.
@@ayylmao8031 pokemon rejuvenation does not use this theme. But developers might implement it in future. And those who are giving bad complements for those goes just because you cannot beat a game does not underrate that game rather your comments underrate yourselves.
Damn leaders in Reborn are too hard lol. But seriously, this theme (along with all of Glitch's stuff) is awesome. I found GlitchCity long before I started playing Reborn, so it makes me smile to see her music used in-game; especially because I used to frequent the Pokemon Reborn server of Pokemon Online waaaayy back in the day, like 2010-2011. I'm not totally sure, but that might've been before the development of the game was even in the works. I knew Ame and Ikaru (kinda), and I never heard word of that project. Also, the fact that Shade's theme is literally this played backwards is fucking awesome.
It might just be me, but every time i listen to these remixs by Glitch i get goosebumps and shivers. If you keep making them, I'll keep listening the heck out of them.
Just imagine, in Sun and Moon, you've defeated all island challenges. Defeated Team Skull, even killed a few of the members. Defeated each champion. Defeated the Ultra Beasts. Defeated Blue. Red watches. He walks off onto the the cloudtop mountain before the Elite Four area is built. You walk up there. You want to battle him, and be a true champion. You know it can't happen... but someone holds your shoulder. Trainer Gold...
I really like Lance a lot, he's awesome, being my second favourite Champion, But honestly, his first team (Aerodactyl, Gyarados, Charizard and three Dragonites) I went through him with one pokemon, using only four moves and not losing any health so I was a bit disappointed. On the next battle I was a lot happier, until he used Perish Song with his final Pokémon Altaria, which really sucked since he was going to just kill himself. :( But even still, Lance rocks!
I wonder if he returned in a new gen game and they updated his team, what it would be like - Dragonite - Garchomp - Hydreigon - Aerodactyll - [Mega] Charizard - Tyrantrum
Actually in BW2 red is about 27. In B/W, one of the rocket guys from G/S/C said that he changed his life around after doing crime in Ceruelean city. He is married and has a kid around age 9. So, after adding the 2 years of finding a wife, that makes around 11 years after g/s/c. Add 2 years, and that makes red about 13 years older than he was in G/S/C. He is about 27 years old.
@@CrystalStarOC i was stuck on that umbreon for a long time, and when i am finally past it the magnezone finishes me off but i eventually passed it by spamming megahorn and magnezone was easy to deal with
@@CrystalStarOC i am not very good at this game because my team has so much disadvantage to grass and none of my pokemon have status moves Except for my Leavanny and Nidoqueen (Cory's Nidorina)
I will say that a lot of remixes from this era, when so many of the notable remixers were just starting out haven't aged the best, particularly when compared to their later works. For me at least GlitchxCity hit her stride in late 2014 (2015 being her strongest year imo), given that, most of the stuff prior to that I consider to be all-right. This on the other hand has aged like wine and still holds up a decade later when most works from this era show their age, and for being one of her earliest works is amazing. This seemed like the template that would go into the later works.
I recently had a dream that they made a Gen 7 Pokémon game. It was like on the 3DS but WAAAAAAY different. You still get to chose clothes for your avatar, but the strange thing was it looked too real. I was playing this game on the Wii U. //And I don't have one yet!// I ran into a Blastoise at level 67. WHO HERE KNOWS A WILD POKEMON APPEARING AT THAT LEVEL??? I know they're making a gen 7 game. I just know it!!!!
I don't want much more generations. There'll be way too many Pokemon. They should maybe work on a really big scale game or an MMO. They would be awesome.
I don't understand why everyone is talking about pure nonsense and not the amazing work this video possesses. Great remix! Keep them coming, you have talent.
It was pretty easy for me, Arcanine's Heat Wave rebounds off the mirrors like beam and light attacks do on her field, so I never missed. And if it failed, I had my Aggron as backup to demolish her Ice Types. Now who was a real pain in the ass was Noel for me, my 7th attempt finally had him beat with my Aggron only have 1 HP left from Sturdy and all my other Pokemon fainted.
Yeah, there's a room above the one you enter the Railnet Puzzle from and you need to connect the tracks to that room instead. And many people told me to just use my Arcanine's Heat Wave or Flame Burst to ignite the field. But it was raining. And it would never stop. Ever. Even after I finally beat him it rained for a week straight everywhere I went in the game. Didn't have anything that could change the weather either. Had to sacrifice my 5th Pokemon so I could heal up my Aggron and send him out with full health, then it needed to take that Wigglytuff's Hidden Power and live with 1 HP with sturdy. Then, since it's Hidden Power was ground, it activated the Weakness Policy I had on him so he could deal enough damage to take out that damn Wigglytuff.
Lance has got to be one of my favorite champions. I just hope an angry mob doesn't come after me-oh never mind. They've already broken down my door. Time for me to hide...
It's ironic that Lance is a good guy in the anime/game while a serious villain in the manga. Him trying to control Lugia and getting defeated by Yellow; then he tried to manipulate Silver.
One of the better Champ Lance and Trainer Red Mt. Silver Remixes. Still just as incredible as ever for the theme. I've been so obsessed with this series of battles, and you worded the feel I get that Lance gives off in his music, Godly. Red is a monster compared to Lance, like that beast lurking deep in the abyss while Lance is the God who sealed it away. Red isn't evil, just at his peak. Your work is incredible. Thank you for helping feed my drive for incredible Pokemusic.
Naw, he is in two games, they need to bring back Gold, considering he beat all of Red's records before beating him in person. Ambipom, Togekiss, Dragonite, Meganium, Feraligatr, Mega Typlosion.
Tom Bombadil Acually more like 6... if you're counting all the almost identical games in any generation. Red, Blue, Green, Silver, Gold, Crystal. I don't think he was in Yellow though, I'm pretty sure you're Ash/Satoshi in that one. I really don't count the remakes either. Even with your point, mine still stands that Gold could use some time in the spotlight for beating Red.
This is my favorite Pokemon track of all time. Thank you, Glitch for making a fine piece of audio art. Hopefully the Symphonic Evolutions can make something awesome out of this!
I'm in the last week of my degree and your music is really helping me get through it. With work on the side and so many side projects everything was starting to get to be too much. The intimidating and calm/slow build up in the beginning made me feel challenged and angry by the overwhelming amount of work as if it were saying "you're beat." When the music picks up it's like the battle is on and the feeling of defiance it built up in me was just what I needed. To some faceless foe I said, "I'm going to rip this victory from your cold, dead hands."
The problem with thinking Gold is better than Red because Gold beats Red is that 'plot armor' protects Gold. You play as Gold in the gen2 games, and in order to beat the game you need to beat Red. Nintendo isn't going to make the last boss unbeatable. Maybe Red is the best, maybe he's not. But using the Gen2 games to 'prove' that Gold is better is a little silly. It'd be the same if the tables were turned as well. If by some time paradox Gold was the final boss of Fire Red/Leaf Green Red beating Gold wouldn't prove anything either for the same previously stated reasons that Gold beating Red in the gen2 games doesn't prove anything.
Maybe they just didnt want to go :P Unless red was the only one in any game to beat the pokemon league. Theres also the fact that Blue is also in the PWT even though he lost his title as champ.
Probably Red is the only one who reach the status of Champion, because, in the sequels, no other character was pointed out as "beating the Champion". Not even Black and White 2, who is a direct sequel of Black and White, point out that Hilda or Hilbert beat Alder. In fact, Alder was still the Champion when Iris take the title.
What if they made a new Pokemon game and u fought red but this time he doesn't start on his pussy ass pikachu u fight his team until u reach his final Pokemon he brings out a raichu and u see a mega stone stitched to his glove then he activates and BAM! mega raichu
For Red to be the final boss his pokemon would have to be over lvl100 or he would need a very good AI system to make him a challenge. That way it would be very difficult to beat him and people could consider it an achievement.
***** If you've ever seen 'modded' pokemon games like blaze black and volt white they actually have all of the gym leaders with EV trained pokemon and items like life orb or specialized berries. Imagine how difficult red would be with a lvl100 max ev trained life orb charizard, and pikachu with a light ball.
***** I don't remember if Red ever evolved his pikachu or not but light ball would actually be stronger than raichu. I haven't played pokemon reborn but I have seen it on youtube so I know its difficult, and very confusing (Xe, Xym????????) I don't know maybe Ash should have been the last boss xD Go lvl 10 squirtle use friendship water gun, OHKO -_-
I see it more as a "Will Red ever get his own theme?" because the song originally came with Lance since you meet him first, and is then replayed when you battle Red.
I follow a bit of GlitchxCity time, because I really like his remixes. At some point I think "Wow, okay, let's see if she made the remix of my favorite pokemon music" (Lance / Red theme). I am faced with two versions of this music and say "listen to them" ... I have no words to describe how beautiful. I really love theme.
Its funny, no matter how many years on from when I first beat red, its always stuck in my mind how true a boss he really was. Had to bring in every ace I had as a kid, and it just ended in my lone beedrill barely taking volt tackle into it's swarm to kick for x-scissor to be just enough to finish the battle.
Little kids don't know much about 1st gen... Before XY a 10 year old was talking about charizard in the black and white series( I am fully aware that he is in it) and says that he's never seen that pokemon!!! They seriously need to make a Pokemon red blue remake fast and it has to be amazing on the 3ds so that the new generation of kids where REAL power comes from...
"This sucks, Black and White will always be #1 and the best of the series plus no Oshawott? Fuck this" "Cool a new Pokemon game with brand new Pokemon!" Problems #1 and 2
Well that's your opinion mate, I grew up with the franchise since it started (23 years old) and Gen 1 really isn't powerful. Hell this theme is for Gen 2, Gen 4 was the most powerful Gen in terms of overall challenge in Pearl/Diamond. Prior to that E4 and Champ, only Lance/Red gave me an issue. Gen 1 has always been pretty easy.
fun fact about gold and silver: originally the johto games were going to be called Pokemon 2: gold and silver. and Red was supposed to be the protagonists older brother.
also the fact that it was supposed to be the last pokemon game, I would honestly have been fine with this as long as they remade the games. dont get me wrong I love the newer games but it was so much simpler back then..
I dont believe so . In Gold's manga they were trying to stray away from the Gyms and go for a more complex story , but I do know it ends with Gold becoming Red's apprentice . Also Gold is my favorite character to , just so awesome !
+Mining Trout I like it! Could kick butt competitively! Also it's Gen 6. (I would've gotten rid of Earthquake on Charizard due to it losing it's 4x weakness to rock, and Blast Burn for some extra firepower, and it won't let me use Mega Punch)
Also forgot to change Raichu's moveset a bit. Instead of brick break and mega punch, it could have grass knot and a hidden power of your choice (Usually water/ice). Earthquake on charizard is purely to hit fire types and rock types harder, although you could put overheat on there if you wish.
GlitchxCity absolutely kills it with her remixes. Amazing. Srsly. Lying in Hospital for Werks and Pokemon+listening to your remixes made it really less hard
It'd be cool to see starters like: Dragon-Water, Fairy-Grass, and Steel-Fire For the starters. What combinations do you guys think? I think it might be interesting to have starters that are either regularly effective types, or even non-effective against each other.
