Top of the morning and happy holiday gamers! This will be the last upload of the year so I can take time off and catch up on some video games! One of the most calming starting town songs in the franchise. Takes me right back to when I would hide my DS under the pillow as a kid late at night when my parents wished me goodnight. Fantastic work as always, enjoy the rest of your year and can't wait to see what 2024 brings!

I've always enjoyed how New Bark's theme has a small section of Pallet Town's theme in it. A little thing that connects the two generations right from the outset, and if you aren't paying attention, it's easily missable.

Back then, playing Gold for the first time, I would sometimes go back to New Bark Town to check how everyone was doing. Not only mom and professor Elm but everyone, including the 2 npcs outside constantly moving and back and forth. I was wondering "When are you going to tell me something new, hm?" I recently had to move back, hopefully temporarily, to my home town because of an illness that luckily it turned out not to be life threatening, but that still needs to be cured. It's always good to have a chill home town to go back to, just like New Bark Town in Gold, so this theme fits nicely.

If they ever remake HGSS again, I hope they take inspiration from undertale (of all places) and have unique dialogue for every location when you call people on the phone. Get well, and play plenty of pokemon while you're in recovery!

Brings tear listening to this because feel like im going back in time with good memories of this as a kid. Getting gold version for Christmas in 2000 in 4th grade and choosing totodile I believe as my starter and having so much fun with the new region,graphics, pokemon etc. My sister put it away while I was studying and forgot where she put it. Then in 2010 I found my gameboy with my red and gold version together but the files were gone. So I out a new battery in it and started a new journey with cyndaquil and made a monster team which consisted of typhlosion,ampharos,kingdra,gengar venusaur and tyranitar. We're going back in time with these, I love it. I think the old Pokemon arrangements go best with your style of music than the new ones, not that they're bad (most definitely not, they're fantastic), but imo they fit less.
