I think that to have a more exciting nuzlocke, u should try to include everything up till the volo fight, as it’s the hardest fight in the game

The Buneary line is my favorite Normal type for 3 reasons. One: Dawn's Buneary's crush on Pikachu is adorable. 2: My first shiny in Sword and Shield was a Buneary. Lastly, I was born during the Year of the Rabbit.

I would've preferred to see the Noble fights, because those and Alphas were the only truly dangerous things in the whole main game. And wouldn't drowning basically be a game over? ;)

Spoilers for those who haven't played the game: Imagine if the Volo fight wasn't a post game battle. Nuzlockes would be damn near impossible.

Interesting to see how a nuzlocke goes in this game! Nice to see wyrdeer and zoroark on the same team being used bc I used both of them in my playthrough as well. I think a change to make it a bit more challenging could be to at least defeat every noble one time in actual battle. No matter what your cycles are, you should get at least one chance to battle it directly outside of the spear pillar fight. if you don't just maybe reset because once you learn the patterns for the nobles they become pretty easy. Also the "post game" fight (I kind of consider it the actual ending bc you meet the real villain and get to see their motivations) would be interesting to see tackled as well though it is dauntingly difficult even at its level cap of 70.

Love the normal type in general! Been wanting to do a mono Normal run of Heart Gold/Soul Silver or Diamond/Pearl, so this is gonna give me the motivation to do it!

Respect for Nuzlocking this game, because it's so much grind for very few battles. It's definitely a much larger time commitment than other games and feels like one of those games you would only want to play once. Good stuff

I've been avoiding PLA videos to avoid spoilers, but now that I've finished the game, it's time to binge :D I'd like to know how Nuzlockes--especially with gimmicks like monotype--would be viable with the star rank system. I think it would pertinent to include the very very difficult post game fight like Trainer Red or Steven in other games. You know, that one, with the Pianos

Ursaluna became my favorite Pokémon during this game. I love bears, and it’s so cute. It’s also really beefy and hits hard, so it’s usable in battle

I think the last nuzlocke fight should be the Volo fight. But i do understand why it's Kamado, since it's the last pre-credits major fight.

Gonna be honest I find grinding friendship in this game way easier than other games Oh I thought the post game Volo fight was gonna be the final battle..?

Something interesting I learned, some moves like stealth rock or pin missile deal damage whenever they take an action, so it's incredible against some Pokemon like Wally's hisuian sneasler, as it can pretty easily make 3 quick attacks before you can act again

Skipping the battle portion of the Frenzy battles feels like cheating but go off I guess.

FIRST

Normal types are the most underappreciated type in Pokemon. Since they aren't super affective against anything and can't hit Ghosts, people just kinda forget about 'em. My favorite Pokemon is Ambipom and it's a great addition to any team, IMO.

While it may sound pretty basic, eevee is my overall favorite normal type. I think it has a really cute design and the concept of multiple evolutions is really cool to me

I normally am indifferent to normal types. Some are cool but never stick, but Hisuian Zoarark immediately hooked me. This game is actually the first time I ever used normal types on my team. Ursaluna and H!Zoarark were in it.

Ok I know I am a bit late but my fav normal type before Legends: Arcues, it was totally Obstagoon but release. Boy oh boy Husiun Zoroark is just breath taking.

I'd like to see a full proper Nuzlocke of this game, no specific types so you could show off the last battles (especially Volo), and where you would HAVE to send in Pokemon when the game signals during the fights

How about going for a more rare typing? It could make things more interesting. Electric, Psychic, and Ghost sound more viable. Maybe a harder typing like Bug? Ice isn’t really viable for the regions before Alabaster, but it might be fun. Dark could be interesting as well. I would love to see another run with this! Maybe going with the added rule of a player death ends the nuzlocke or smth could make it more interesting. I feel like a lot of really cool Pokémon that hardly see the light of day can get a lot of much needed showtime with the fixed evolution requirements, Pokémon like Gengar and Dusknoir in the ghost type run will certainly be valuable assets should you decide to go with it. Personally, if you do nuzlocke this game again Ghost types would be really fun as I’ve done it and it was difficult but amazing. I’d also say maybe adding rules like only one encounter per area (so one from Sandgem Flats and another from maybe Obsidian Falls) or only one encounter per region (So Obsidian Fieldlands and Cobalt Costlands).

Hisuian zoroark can learn hyper beam via tutor, and it’s so fast that it’s a viable move.
